Yeah, don't feel stupid. The same thing happened to me.
I was all excited, thinking my Fire/Kin would be this invincible god once I got her build done. You can imagine the disappointment when I saw the values plummet after turning off the PVP thing.

don't feel to bad mids doesn't tell the whole story, it doesn't take DR(diminishig returns) in to account. Those numbers aren't nearly as good as they actually look.
I have downloaded and installed the latest Mids and all of a sudden all my resistance scores are sitting at insane levels......my firekin has base resistance of 40%......can anyone help?
Also my defense levels are insane......i seem to be able to softcap all areas on SO's
