  1. Actually right now in the VIP Beta, I'm having to adjust to a new power.

TIP: Always remember to Turn Off Afterburner before engaging ambushes/chashers when at a contact. It will save you a lot of worry later on instead of thinking "WTF? Why aren't my powers working??!" (Afterburner prevents non-self affecting powers form working...)

I haven't been gacked because of that yet, thankfully. Had a couple close calls though...

    Thank you for the time...
  2. A good guide for Praetoria is Zombie_Man's Plots of the Four Tracks Guide.
It's one of the few threads saved from the coming GR forum purge. It will help a lot.

As to your questions about the current state of Sidekicking, I'll refer you to the Wiki on that.

    Thank you for the time...

  4. No The Cosby Show, M*A*S*H, Night Court, or Soap?

And I Love Lucy not in the top 10?

    yesh...

    Thank you for the time...
  5. Wow....

That was something to see, indeed....

    Thank you for the time...
  6. Batman and Robin

At least the camp in #3 was tolerable, this one.... shesh....

    Thank you for the time...
  7. Yea, got to put Collection 4 (New Adventures eps) on my want list.
A number of good eps in that one...

    Thank you for the time...
  8. Anyone see patch notes for a not quite 14 MB patch going up on Test?

    Thank you for the time...
  9. Well keep in mind that the Reward levels are based on the number of Reward Tokens earned. All previous players will earn RTs equal to:
    • One per Veteran Badge you have
    • One per full year you've subscribed
    • One if you used a retail box code at some point while subscribed (and only one)
To gain Reward Level 4 (Lifetime Market) only needs 8 RT. So if you've had been subbed at least a year & 1/2 overall, you'll have that when CoH:Freedom launches. The amount of RTs needed for Levels 5 and up tend to be a lot more, but basically a 5 year Vet, like me, will have just enough for Reward Level 7 at CoH:F launch.

Also don't forget you will earn a RT for Every 1200 Paragon Points ($15 US) spent (VIP PP Credits excluded).

    Thank you for the time...

    More Tray Slots

As others have visually shown, there are more trays available.

Or are you looking for additional keybind activatible trays (Alt and Ctrl)?

It's hard to tell by your OP.

    Thank you for the time...

At least with the changes in CoH:F/I21, if you have a name in mind, it can be saved early on in the process.

Now a little more on topic...
No argument with the quoted above. Coming up with new costumes for some of my Characters is interesting in of it's own right. It can be down right surprising what can be done w/the CC in this game.

It's got a strong core model based on subscriptions, and they want to give more to those subscribers at the same time they attract new people. They're not out to gouge anyone. They're just trying to stay true to what they have at the same time they accept the changing realities of the MMO market, and create a more efficient delivery mechanism for all the great stuff they have made.
I feel this is a solid starting point for my comments to the OP.

(and yes, I actually tried to read through the OP...)

OP, let's get one thing straight: Paragon/NCSoft is adding a F2P/expanded MTS system into CoH, not converting into a F2P game. If you keep subscribed, nothing changes and you get additional stuff. Simple as that.

Now you say your a 33+ month vet. If I'm looking at the Paragon Rewards right, you'll of cleared Rewards Level 5, which grants access to 'Trollers & MMs, if you go to Premium. Notice that last statement. Anything mentioned in the Rewards Level descriptions that shows content limits apply to Premium players only. Those who stay subscribed don't loose anything.

The Devs and Mods have been upfront since CoH:F announcement that Subscribers are first and foremost priority. They want current players to stay subscribed and new players to subscribe and everyone to use the Paragon Market (Costumes, Emotes, Powers and Powersets, Services, ect.).

Now there are a couple of fair carrots to keep players subbed: EATs and the Incarnate System. Those are the only things even a Rewards Level 8/Tier 9(non-VIP) can't access. I view that as fair.

The only thing I'll add is about the VIP server. I plan to stay on the Servers I usually play on (Liberty, Justice, Pinnacle, Virtue, and Freedom) with maybe rolling one or two new Characters on the VIP server. I may do some consolidation at some point, but I don't plan a whole hearted abandonment of any of my usual servers anytime soon.

    Thank you for the time...
  13. Took a while to really look at the CoT redesign.

Overall, I like it. There is enough to evoke what makes the CoT, well CoT.

    Now then...
I do like the 'Pope' Hats. It just seems that w/the Casters and the bottom row of Mages, they look like Sentai Nazgul (more out of Jackson's Two Towers and RotK). The minion featured kind of evokes the Nazgul ('Dark Rider' in Fellowship) look, but I think it's the lack of black inside the 'V' part and face of the 'Hood' that makes it look CoTish, but not Nazgulish.
And what's with the Sakura blossom belts on that bottom row of Mages? At least that what it appears like to me.

As stated, I do like the redesign so far. Now what about the Specters and Deamons?

    Thank you for the time...

IIRC, there was a tweak to those who were Praes. Now it is the first SG/VG that Character joins gets the 100K bonus. After that, the Character is treated like any other Character that leaves and joins a SG/VG.

  15. Let's see...

    1) Suggestions forum please.
    2) No.
Personally, I'm among the minority who actually liked the implementation (and way to turn off) of the in-game ad system. Granted, it didn't work out as well as intended, but still, it was a sensible way of doing it.

I don't believe the OP's suggestion would really fit for City.

    Thank you for the time...
  16. Oh now this is interesting indeed...

Noticed something on ANN this morning (Link). Basically a 2-disc set will come out on 10/18/11 for $20.
If the info is correct, the 176 minutes roughly breaks down into 7, 25-minute eps. If you count last week's hour long as 2 eps., that leaves 5 to go. That would put the last new aired ep. on 09/02/11.
Seven episodes. That's it? Hell, Young Justice had a bit longer of a run, I thought. sheesh...

    Thank you for the time...
  17. It's funny...

Took a look at it this morning. The vid itself isn't bad (save for listening to Jack). Considering I didn't get into City till I7, it was interesting to see what a early build state was like.

But everything about the YouTube poster and the site it was supporting was just so wrong. Add this when trying to find the core YouTube account:

    Priceless indeed...

    Thank you for the time...
  18. Did anyone get a patch update, or was this supposed to be a regular maintenance? Considering the shift to the NCSoft launcher only afterwards?

    Thank you for the time...

I haven't seen the show... I'm going to assume it's in the same category of quality. Just judging from that video, however.... it makes me wonder why anyone even watches the show. Seriously, some of those drawings are atrocious. Especially that disfigured Captain America. I was drawing better proportioned characters in my junior high days.
To answer your first question: Yes, A:EMH is , in essence the Marvel JLU.

Overall designs are very Timm-verse (Superman:TAS, JL, JLU era) like. Overall the series is very good and a good number of storyarcs have paid off in this first season alone. It comes close to what JL/JLU did, but it is worth watching.

    Umm...
Didn't you see the last couple of minutes of tonight's ep then?
Alyson's been hijacked by everybody's fav pyscho-b**ch. And if next week's preview is correct, Alyson get put back in charge of GD. With you know who in control right now, all hell could (and most likely will) break loose.

  21. Got a chance to rewatch it w/the GF.

We both enjoyed it and like the overall take on the mythos.
As to Snarf, it feels like the writers were trying to channel Ryo-ohki somehow. In the way of giving Snarf just a bit more overall intelligence that it would appear. It's the best way I can describe it.

    Thank you for the time...
  22. DVR'ed it.
Just got through watching it. Rather pleased with this reboot. Liked the Lynxo nod in there as well.
Still not sure about Panthro's overall design either and lion-o's is finally starting to grow on me.

If the overall story quality can be kept, this series'll be interesting indeed.

I would guess the from the slides in the OP, the Free players only get access to the regular Male & Female forms, not Male Huge until they reach Tier 2.

Now if there's a female huge added... (One could only hope...)

    As of 7/18/11: 391
Like I mentioned in my earlier post in this thread, a portion (now about 1/4) is Custom Critter AE related. The rest are 1) a mix of older versions of some of my Characters; 2) tweaks that incorporate new items unlocked that work for a Character; 3) Or new Costumes when a Character gets a new slot opened.

I know, I know, I should clean out the invalid ones, but some backup isn't a bad thing either...
