Why isn't it a good option for you? Steering with the wasd keys, it's more conveniently accessible than the number pad... Unless there's some physical limitation preventing you from using them, I would highly recommend acclimating yourself to doing so. It's a lot faster than clicking on the keys, which helps your reaction time a lot.

Or even better: Use the number keys to activate powers instead of clicking.

It's not "crappy" by a long shot. As others have said, it's faster. It's also more efficient, especially if you leave it running in the background, as it will automatically download and apply patches. It's even better if you play multiple NCSoft games, you can launch them all from one consolidated launcher.

Maybe when a lot of people are complaining about the same issue.

The problem isn't suspecting that it was the issue that did it. The problem was rather than saying something like "Is anyone else having crashing problems with the new issue" you said something more along the lines of "FIX YOUR GAME IT'S CRASHING!"

There are any number of causes to crashing. Yes, something on your end could very well have gone wrong at the same time as the new update to the game. Investigate possibilities BEFORE you assume and accuse.

Just like DDO failed when it went f2p....Oops, wait....LotRO? Nope, not that either. Even Champions had a significant increase in profits when they went f2p. F2p is proving to be an extremely successful MMO model. It has nothing to do whether the game's failing or not.

And, no, there aren't as many people here as there were right after GR launched and for the first couple months there. But it's still more crowded than it was BEFORE GR launched.

Going f2p doesn't mean a game is in trouble. LotRO was doing quite well still when it went f2p. TUrbine showed very well that the f2p model is hugely successful for most MMOs ( Exceptions being the "WoW that's huge" behemoth MMO )

I still see just as many people as I did a few months ago.

Well, mainly just to express that I'm not taking his claim of "serious abuse" at face value. I tend to find it more likely that such claims of GM "abuse" are either blown out of proportion or an outright fabrication... ( The former more often being the case, and not generally intentionally, but still... )


I've never dealt with a GM that wasn't fluent in English, and I've dealt with quite a few over the past 7 years.

It's not a guarantee, no, but it most cases, it's reliable enough to be used as a layer of security. There's no way to be sure that someone else isn't using your debit card and pin number at the store, but that's no reason to do away with that security measure. Same applies here. Just because a security measure isn't perfect doesn't mean it's useless. Also, just because your ISP uses an outdated method of assigning IP addresses that causes NCSoft's security measures to be an inconveniences you also doesn't mean they should do away with the security measures.

Because gold-sellers stealing MMO accounts is a flat-out epidemic problem in the industry.

How do you mean "cancel your credit card on your account"? If you just deleted the info, yeah, you'll still be charged. If you don't want to be charged anymore, you actually have to cancel/close the account, which can be done through the account management page. You'll still have access until your paid time is up, but once it's up, you will no longer be able to play and your card will no longer be charged.

That's how it normally looks.
