Quote:Yeah, I just decided to collect all the Lichens myself and chain-attacked it ultimately, that first team I ran with collected it but used it haphazardly. Agreed on the Walker cornering. We had a really awesome time of them last night too, somewhere in the 3-5 minute takedown time. Would've had a perfect MoUG, except I called for the Avatar kill one second too early... ;(for self repairing war walker thats what those temps are for (the self repairing walker has insanely high regen, like green mito regen, the temp powers will disable it for a little bit)
for the lichen infested walker just pull it into a corner since there are only 1-2 of those lichen objects boosting its regen so its much easier to manage
the best time we had on victory so far is killing both in 3 minutes -
We're re-gathering tonight around 9-10pm EDT for another crack at the Avatar Assassin. Our run last night got all the rest. Interested?

Quote:Problem is, "Reveal" (the power you reference) isn't sticking either. XD If using that worked permanently, I wouldn't be as annoyed...Pssst, it's the new feature they added so that we have to buy enough pp to get us tokens filled up to the point that the "Clear Fog" (forget the real name) power is unlocked. ;-)
Also noting that some zones are completely unaffected as well. Sharkhead is still perfectly visible to me, even with several pass-throughs. But AP, Pocket D... nope, have to reapply the Reveal regularly, every time I go through. -
Got some cheat notes with that Regen Walker then? The best we were able to do was get it to around 85% when it would suddenly suck back all its life and proceed to Lethal Force everyone in radius.
-
You better make a hole on your team for me. How do you get past the regenerating Walker, anyway? My team trounced everything until that guy, then suddenly we went splat and couldn't dent him, even stacking lichen throws constantly.

The last time this busted, there was a weird tearing effect to the fog for how it would break with some players... are you finding the zone resets clean, or that some areas are hidden/revealed in weird patterns?
-
Symptom: Post-Issue 21's release, players who have had city zone maps "explored" and fully viewable on the Map function are now finding the whole zone dark again. Any explorations of the map are removed once the user zones to a new area.
Issue: This is the third time where the map function's "Fog of War" (where a city zone's map is grayed out, indicating non-exploration) has broken. Previous instances have indicated that there is a global "ceiling limit" in how much fog of war data can be stored. Each time this has broken, that limit has been raised to accommodate the new areas.
Has anyone seen this behavior on characters that have had most, if not all, of the city zones fully explored and opened up? Chime in here to add your experiences, please. -
1283 currently. Got 1250 almost by logging in yesterday... I was at 1249 after all the notification spammage.
Just need Avatar Assassin now... grrr...
EDIT: Cha-ching! 1285 now, baby! Bagged Avatar Assassin with an excellent crew on Freedom, SO ready for... Day Jobs... er... -
I think I can make this. Throw me down with Dr. Turgenev for this, I've run him so much the last few months I think I'd try Blinding mobs with my tank at this point.

I was at my desk in DC, just logging in, when my boss mentioned a plane hit the Twin Towers. I remember the small biplane that smacked into the Empire State building, so that's what I thought it was. 20 minutes later, I was calling my mom in NYC, to tell her to get dad out of the hospital early. An little while later, I heard about the 2nd tower, and the Pentagon. A day later, everything hit me at once. I lost two classmates to the towers falling that day, and years later, a niece who still suffers from concrete lung for her work as an EMT that month.
Ten years later, what does 9/11 mean to me? It means that horror lingers only so long as there are those who choose to remain vulnerable to it. It means that, every day we live and grow, we diminish the evil brought to our shores that day. We strive for good, we struggle for justice. We embrace life and liberty, for all of us.
Excelsior, New York. Saludos, America. Never forget, but never fear. -
Quote:I really wish they'd delay the release. I'm busy as hell next week.So ima guess and say that the regular TF runs next week will be pre-empted by the new CoH going live???
All I gotta say is Giggity!
But yeah, it's gonna be messy with all the new stuff. -
This is going to be written weirdly, so bear with me.
First, it's with a horribly heavy heart that I announce the death of a fellow player, Dathus Bel-Ar (forum handle, "Lord_Of_Time"). I'm announcing it here because, for all intents and purposes, this, along with City Life, was his most favorite forum to hang out in.
His death was in March of 2011, after many years of declining health. He was a huge comic book culture fan, and was an opinionated fiend on anything and everything and in-between.
I met Dathus waaay back in the day on Freedom, in the 2004-5 Hami raids. He was a core member of Oblivion Guard, and had a penchant for melee builds. A gregarious player straight down to the bones, he was always fun to run with, even when he was busy telling you what was wrong with Green Lantern and the many, many revamps over the years.
I've been a FB friend of his for ages, and wished him a happy birthday this past January. I had no idea he passed away two months later, until a common friend mentioned she found his obit today.
The thing about gaming communities is that, when someone disappears, you just assume they went somewhere else. "Oh, Game X came out, he must've jumped ship." You don't think about the why's and the wherefore's, and eventually, their silenced voice is overwritten by new voices. Life moves on, with a vengeance.
Dathus loved this game, and loved the comic book genre with a passion reserved for truly crazy whackjobs who wear Babylon 5 t-shirts as a political statement on quality writing. He was nuts about Doctor Who, and drove me bonkers when he'd constantly try selling me on the revamp. (No, I still haven't seen it.)
Seeing his voice go quiet on the forums, unnoticed and without pause for reflection or requiem, seemed wrong for One Of Us.
So tonight, I want to call your attention to Patrick Brusio, one last time. To the tanker who would show off how awesome Ice was back when it was boring. To the comic book nerd who seriously saturated his life a bit too much to be sexy to the ladies. To the man who was dealt a bum hand in life, but smiled through it all. To my friend, whom I met those many years ago in the Hive, and whose voice I'll truly miss.
Sleep well, Dathus. You've earned the peace. -
Since it's on a day off, I might be able to swing this.
Not sure who to bring, but I'll have some choices here.
-
I'm leaning more to Yes for this, but I'm still recovering with sleep issues. I'd like to see the pack again though.

I think our oranges were from CA. I've had FL OJ, it never wowed me.

Quote:Badge farming ftw. Aggelakis ain't wrong. That's not counting marathon play dates (especially common in DXP!) which reduces the "x a day every day" number, nor does it factor in AFK farming for badges (damage and healing were/are the most common AFK farming). Plus there are surveys and polls all over the net that say there is a rather large slice of the gaming community that *DOES* *INDEED* play for many hours, every day (or at least most days).
I would not be surprised at all to see some people coming in over that, especially folks with multiple badging toons, extra especially if they got the AFK farming badges before they were made easier. -
Green Valley Ranch Resort. Best gorram orange juice I've ever had in my life. It's outside Vegas, but for an escape from Vegas while still being in Vegas, you can't get better.

Just checking in now cuz of nonstop work the last five days. Storm did its thing but didn't really leave a bruise in my neighborhood. It blew power in PG County where our new office - that we were moving into this weekend - is based. No real damage, but poorer timing could not have been conceived...
Hope everyone rolled outta this okay. -
I'll answer in a few days. I remember you from a recent run. But the short answer is, "Have the will to do it." That's where most of this stuff lives or dies on people toughing it out to get the job done. That means listening and cooperating vs closing chat and just doing what you know til the "Mission Complete" banner appears.

Quote:Yet another "get out of AP" response.i just resubed and i am on freedom and all i see if people looking to farm
Just use /ignore for the persistent ones, move to another zone, and you'll be fine. See your other thread where everyone was trying to give you advice.
