Exceptional job on the graphics and text. It's my b-day that night and I am having family over, and probably even without that I wouldn't be there because I just can't get into Hami. However, just exceptional, hope you have a huge turnout.

I have a 50 Traps/AR that is +3, I have seen a lot of BAF, Lamba and some Keyes, no UG yet. I have worked and thought about this stuff a good deal on my Defender, and even though Traps is rather melee-ish, I have been missing some good old Scrapper Lock.

At this time Wrecka is a fresh 43, with just over 46% defense to ranged and melee, and just over 45% defense to AoE. I am working on the Medicine pool to get Aid Self to help, but I don't think I'm picking that up until 47, should have it by 50 though. At this point I feel no need for it, but I assume it will be nice to have.

These are my questions:

Given that everything is 54, how is SR doing in iTFs?

If it is rough, how big is the change once you start getting level shifts?

Since even little bits of defense make such a difference for us is that the direction I need to think about with my Alpha?

I went Cim for my Lore pets with my Defender due to my debuffing and their single target damage, and wow was that a good choice. Is there a Lore branch that just has SR written all over it?

For others who may be interested in in Obsidian Operations, I'll share what I can think of. Tonight the leader ran a Mothership Raid, which is pretty regular on Sunday nights. We also did a Stateman's TF that was all SG.

The Coalition is strong, always seems to me something going on. For the most part I got Task Force Commander by being teamed up with someone in Coalition the whole way. We have run the iTF in Cimerora several times, which lucky is the one I enjoy the most.

Several people are quite knowledgeable about many aspects of the game. I wanted to get opinions with my main being a Traps Defender on which pet to go with in Lore. From what I read Cimerora pets would be best, and I got confirmation of that in Coalition chat. Which was awesome since they were right, it was the perfect way to go for me.

Probably the best things though. Chat is polite and often leads to teams/TF/iTFs. If you need help, you'll get it. If you are a lower level character and the game allows us to bring you along on stuff, we will(some things do have level requirements). We do level by playing though(missions, task forces, raids), at least in my experience. The farming can be left to other SGs.

You can get 1-20+ in the sewer trial rather fast. You also can level like crazy with all the large teams and TFs on this server. 1-50 in a few hours, well no, but I started a Traps/AR last week and he is 38 now, I didn't expect that at all, and it has been a blast. Plus all the drops just from normal leveling are a good thing.

I do understand you just want to be there, but enjoy the ride and make some awesome friends on the way.

I joined Obsidian Ops, lots of very friendly people. Plenty of them lfg, and a lot of Coalition lfg.

I haven't had much luck finding one on this server yet. I did get invited to one, but it definitely wasn't for me. So in an attempt to find one that suits me, and maybe help others do the same I have made this thread, in hopes that the SGs (that may or may not read these boards) may find people they are looking for.

To me SGs are such an awesome thing now with the way teams work, since level ranges mean very little when putting a team together at this point. That is one of the things I am looking for, people just willing to team up for the sake of it. I don't really like SG chat that is filled with profane or perverted things. I would like to be in a large SG, just for the sake of playing with a lot of different people and enjoying that experience. So...

As for the SG I'm looking for:
Friendly people.
Mature/polite SG chat.
People willing to team up and play.

As for me:
I am team friendly.
I don't cuss.
I could careless about rank and stuff like that.
Sometimes I play way too much.
I enjoy chatting it up, just about as much as playing.
I'm cool with hardcore players, but I'm not one of them.
I'm all for helping people to achieve things, like TFs, Badges, whatever.

SGs, who are the players you're looking for?

Players looking for a SG, what are you looking for from them?

I am one of "them". Sometimes I ask, or answer questions, sometimes I see a conversation and join in. It is nice having a global channel that is just there. I understand there are many user made channels, I've seen them and nothing has drawn me to them. It doesn't bother me at all when people use it for chatting, as long as that doesn't prevent someone from getting help, which I have not seen happen.

Also, when I need help and I see people chatting away in it, I know that there are people paying attention to it.

For my experience, this has been the best server I have played on. I am a mostly solo melee player, but I have been making several ranged support characters since playing on this server. The pick ups groups I have been in have been so much fun I can't wait till the next random group.

Exalted is such a great place to team up, IMO. I am thinking about moving my 42 Claw/SR there, but other than that I have just been leveling new characters.

Thanks for the tips, I was figuring the Kinetic side would do best with some Frankenslotting. I like making Short Circuit a draining power over a damage power, I'm really not good at soloing with ranged characters, so I will let the teams do all the damage.

Plus it doesn't take much from Performance Shifter to get the movement bonus, I got a few of those bonuses on my SR Scrapper and it is such a nice option.

I have started a Kin/Ele Defender and I was wondering if there are any IO sets that benefit Kinetics over just typical slotting. I have played with them a lot in Mids, so I have a grasp of them some what, I also have a SR Scrapper at 42 that is capped on ranged defense and getting close on melee and AoE so I also have some idea on actually using them.

Looking at Kinetics it self, I am under the impression that traditional slotting will be better, but I would love some input. Are there procs that are great for certain powers?

I will definitely looking into what I can do on the Electric side of things, and I will be taking Leadership, so I know I can get some stuff into that.

I was there for the first time tonight on my Grav/FF controller. Wow, those are some crazy missions, we had a large team that was dealing with some massive ambushes, which was completely awesome. The leveling was quite nice as well, I think I went in at just over 18, and finished up at about 20.5. As good as the leveling was, the chaotic battles were better.

I have soloed mine, but not much. Usually I have been lucky enough to end up on some large teams in chaotic missions, which is awesome. I went with Grav/FF and it is honestly the only controller I have ever stuck with.

Speeding up Propel would be nice, like they did quite a while back with Hurl. Though the old slower Hurl animation did look more powerful.

Everyone did great, didn't get to see her till now, wow she looked awesome. Was the name Unquiet Bride? I thought it was, buy not sure. Great design and great name.

I really like the idea of AR/Archery/DP sets for Doms. I think some awesome concepts characters would come out of it. Well, maybe not DP, long activation times in that set, plus activation times in control sets period.

OOOoooooo....sorry random thought just exploded. A "natural" kind of blast set maybe. Bow or gun(s) for range and the melee strikes (hand to hand, maybe weapons). I like that thought.

I did this on my Fire/Fire Dom and honestly I found it difficult. Then I starting thinking that a melee character may chew through this and got on my SR scrapper, and he did rip through it, but not as fast as I thought. My Dom is 18, and really has nothing slotted. My SR is 41, and IOed pretty good. Explemared down to 20 he was still at about 30% def to melee and ranged.

I'm not complaining about it being too hard. Difficulty can be good, but I can see ranged players having problems with some of this, that melee will probably LOL at.

There was an Elite boss that my Scrapper was in LOL mode, that rocked my Dom pretty hard. Even with Domination up I "think" I had Char stacked 4 times before I got the hold, maybe 4 Chars and 7 Rings of Fire, plus my AoE stuff just to get things stacked before the Elite was locked down. I would like to run this on my AR/Sonic Corr, but no way I am interested without a team on him.

I'm sure many of you are far more skilled than I am, but if you are ranged and do this solo I recommend you take a healthy dose of Inspirations with you. That being said, my Dom didn't die, but I burned every little trick/power/inspiration I had.

MM side note: There may be a few issues for you guys. Haven't done this on mine, but I can see a few areas that could be a nightmare, but I'm just guessing at that.

Ok, now that we are past that. I have tried a few different Doms, but they never really clicked for me. I'm am the type of player that likes options, and this combo is great for me. Only level 18 ATM and I am starting to actually wonder if this is "my" AT. I have a 50 tank, 47 MM and 41 Scrapper (SR/Claws is one of those perfect combos) and this character may just feel the best. It also feels like a great support AT in a way, once the team gets to a major enemy and I Dominate it, it is like the best debuff ever since no one is getting hit. I realize that I haven't faced the toughest of foes yet, but so far it is too fun.

I am wondering if any Fire vets have any tips, primary or secondary? Right now the build is very Melee-ish, so I plan on picking up Incinerate when I can fit it in.

Also any tips on the Epic pools, I actually think all 4 look strong (Hero side, I have never really cared much for the Villain ones except for my MM), Fire just doesn't look like a clear cut winner to me, but I am leaning towards it.

I got onto a big safeguard team the other night, with my Grav/FF. I forgot how fun/chaotic big teams can be, plus the find everything and deal with ambushes of safeguards. It was great, thus far I am really pleased with Exalted. I'm really looking forward to getting on a team with my AR/Sonic, for me that build just seems team perfect. Through some buffs, shoot stuff, profit.

Given the quality of life change to buffing I am thinking about starting another MM with a shield secondary. I have been thinking about Mercs/Thermal a lot, not sure how well it mixes, but I may have to give it a shot.

I started a DP/Fire a while back and bailed on it fast. I figured there was just no way I would get into DP at all. Then I was playing with Mids and looking at a DP/Ice build, it really interested me. I have started one and I am really enjoying it, from Ice I only plan on having Chilbain, Chilling Embrace, Build Up and Ice patch, maybe Freezing Touch.
