I thought I missed something. Replace the 4 Devastations in Gloom with the rest of the Thunderstrike set and you'll be softcapped to Ranged.

Also, I just looked at your build. Combat Training: Offensive over Tactical Training: Leadership? CT:O is complete garbage compared to TT:L. I moved around your power order a bit, added one purple set (you have LoTG +Recharges in your build, so I'm assuming you can easily afford the purple confuse set) picked up a little more +Recharge to get Mind Link perma, and got a bit more +HP, +Regen, and +Damage. I'd say roll with what you want and add in things that you'll enjoy more.

+Recharge if you want Mind Link perma, +Ranged Defense if you don't care about Mind Link, +Recovery and +Regen due to the VEAT inherent, and +HP. Defense based characters always benefit from having +Regen and +HP. You will get hit, even when softcapped. You just have to make sure that when you do get hit, you have the hit points to survive and the +Regen to make up the lost health before you get hit again.

Ice/Elec has very good synergy. Ice Control is a set that really shines in Melee (Arctic Air and Glacier) and Electric Assault is the Dominator Melee set. Stick two Melee friendly sets together and you'll have a match made in heaven.

You can tough it out easily. Ice Assault is going to drain your endurance more than Ice Control, so just slot your attacks with some endurance reduction until after Stamina and SOs. Have at least 30% End redux in your attacks and you should be fine as long as you aren't one of those people who shoots an attack just because it's recharged. If you are, I'd go with /Psionic Assault for Drain Psyche.

Gravity/Fire

Fire Assault is the only set that can really truly be played at range, and Gravity is best at range. Not to mention the fact that Fire's damage will help Gravity out by killing things before you have to control them. Gravity is a fun set and Fire Assault is just as fun.

You were farming with Psychic Shockwave.

Oh, and "Castle mentioning" the nerf/buff was just him agreeing to what someone said in the lovely little thread we have. So nothing may happen at all. Speculation is pretty silly at this time.

Besides the fact that no one has mentioned "providing massive changes," your thoughts seem to be very out of nowhere. Castle has mentioned a possible nerf and subsequent buff of the rest of the set, but that is it. If you are relying on just one or two powers in a set, then that set should be looked at and rebalanced. Adding 125% recharge to Drain Psyche and leaving Psychic Shockwave alone still makes the rest of the set pretty dreadful comparative to the rest of the Dominator secondaries (besides Energy Assault). I think you should sit back, look at the set, and think of some new ideas for now.
