  1. Teams are something to aspire to, not an entitlement in my opinion
  2. Less AE grinding, more pounding wrong-doers faces into the pavement!

Now with added color selections for said pavement pounding!
  3. Union Chat, Sals Badgehunters, Mission Architect, the various raid channels...

There are plenty of places to find teams, apart from the AE buildings of course!!!

  5. I'm working on a Sunday night basis at the moment, my options are this weekend ( bit short notice ) or after a weeks holiday 1st week of September ( making the raid date the 6th )

with regards to characters ideally as this is a objective event rather than a direct levelling opportunity the more firepower we have the better!

healers with AOE for main group healing zone are another much needed rescource for this as we are going to be clearing all three "trenches" on the ship.
  6. thats what he gets for being such an uptight gimp, check him out in the CoH comics, he's hardly the most likeable of chaps...

and standing around during Rikti invasions like a fifth wheel? grr
  7. To the OP:

one thing I do miss on CoH, is something I experienced in Final Fantasy Online which is fighting my way to an objective. What I mean by that is that I recieved a mission near San D'Oria that required me to get into a nearby Ork camp, across a river and ravine, through some caves etc...

On CoX you can just run through a different street / fly / teleport there with no trouble at all. Whilst I understand the annoyance ( and it is Issue 1 content as mentioned ) I do think we perhaps "miss" the point of these missions a bit.

What would have been cool is a section of ruined city ( think "I am Legend" a bit ) with streets blocked off and so on, with delivery missions where you have to fight to get everywhere, and all of a sudden delivery missions don't seem so bad
  8. I think it was more something I did...

I've had bombs physicially running away from me
  10. Once again I look around and I see the Rikti attacking our fair city, their bombs falling amongst the great towers we have worked so hard to protect these last few years, their troops filling our streets and our way of life interrupted by their appearance.

With new threats approaching on the horizons of the multiverse unlocked by Portal Corporation, I want to show, nay educate these invaders once and for all they any threat they make against us and our city, is a threat we are all too willing to repay a thousand fold!!

To that end, I am suggesting a direct attack on the crashed Rikti Mothership in the Rikti Warzone, but not the usual piecemeal attacks that have come and gone. The point of this assault is to plant Every bomb that can be planted on the surface of the ship, to take down Ukon Grai and to hold the centre of the ship for every second possible and inflict maximum casualties on the Rikti invaders.

    The Plan:

Phase 1: Standard attack pattern on the Rikti Pylons to bring down the shields. Teams to consist of players most capable toons, with a healing team or sufficient healers to keep up the "heal blanket" over our attacking players.

Phase 2: Once aboard the ship above Pylon 1, we work inward along the left hand side of the trench, until we get to the middle, where we clear the OUTSIDE EDGE ONLY of the centre position until we can then start planting bombs along the left hand edge of the second trench. We then switch to the opposite side and keep moving around until all trenches are cleared and ALL bombs are placed. (this may include some team juggling tomfoolery to allow a few teams to plant a high number of bombs)

Phase 3: Once all bombs are placed, we should have the maximum amount of time possible to be under the shield, thus letting us take, and hold the centre for a huge influx of Vanguard Merits in the ensuing carnage.

Any suggestions and updates to the plan will be posted here, time and date to be confirmed however a Sunday night is the likeliest at the moment.

For those that have been on raids using my strategy, you'll know I tend to take things at a casual pace and work for a better position on taking the centre, this will be a similar assault so I am looking for volounteers that will adhere to my Rules of Engagement and assist, not hinder the assault.

    Rules of Engagement:

    1. Broadcast is used during the setup phase for teaming requests only, then for combat chatter / attack instruction during the combat phase of the plan.

    2. First priority target in ALL cases when dealing with mobs should be Rikti Magus.

    3. Combatents should always engage targets in the direction of the assault, unless this is in conflict with rule 2.

    4. GM / EB targets in the center of the ship shall not be attacked unless authorised, raids where the GM is pulled without the pre-requisite position being secure are prone to failure.

    Additional communications will be forthcoming.
  11. Today I learnt...

that Rikti die just as nicely as they did yesterday...

    and the day before that....

    and so on...

Am I addicted to ganking them perhaps?
  12. Hope to see you on patrol again soon Mumsy!
Will keep trying to fight the good fight in your abscence!

    Union Costumes!

The Unionites should all know this particular sword wielding regular, where there are Rikti to be found Tsumiju Zero isn't far behind!
  14. I think the Dual Pistols would work better as a scrapper set rather than blasters in terms of combining it with the secondaries, but it would be good to see the set ported over to both.

Here's hoping however they dont re-use the thugs pistols animations, we need something a bit more "fluid" in approach more in line with dual blades for speed.
  15. Have had some very successful raids on Union in the early days, one thing that does come to mind though is that of recent, the raids I've observed are too "impatient" when it comes to pulling the GM etc.

The amount of spawns and merits that can be reaped from the centre of the ship are huge, but if the raid fails before the middle can be taken, well, tis kinda pointless lol

    Hello New Forum

definately more stylish, just finding it harder to nose through postings. Just need to get used to it I guess!

Nice to see invasion teams running around again though, would love to see improvements on the dropship idea where the troops would arrive GV Flyer style and attack positions around the zones
  22. Here's hoping the weapon sets get new animations afterwards :P
