    I'm of the opinion that if you're posting your art in a public space you're fishing for responses of any sort. I think they're all helpfull in their own way, but unless the artist or person posting the picture says "Comment but don't say it's bad" or something I think it's all up in the air. Of course, constructive criticism is always better than "tat sux lolz"

    I used to be of the same opinion, I mean that's why I post my art, isn't it true for all artists? Just like in writing, an extra pair of eyes always helps picking out errors than someone who has been staring at it for hours and hours. Then I tried being helpful with a couple critiques on the forums here and got slammed for it. Pretty much cured me of doing that, so I just keep my mouth shut now.

    Besides, nobody listens to me anyway, right?

    It does help you pick out the problems! Its really hard to see the mistakes in your own drawing or arts you just finished unless you wait a month and look at it again (Or you cheat like alot of people do, and just flip the picture over and look at it backwards - thats the best way to see all the little flaws right off the bat). But you shouldn't be slammed for a good critique. Then again. criticism and critique may sound alot alike but they're two completely different words. As helpfull as it is I don't think anyone really likes hearing only flaws, so its nice ballancing it out with what the person did right in the piece.

    But seriously, flipping the picture over really works.

    And with regards to Darkjedi's post about not worrying about pleasing everyone with your art (And you shouldnt try to) I recall the words of Carlos Mencia "I gave up trying to please everyone with my comedy, because what happens to people that try to please everyone in the world? Jesus? Ghandi? Kennedy?(I think he said Kennedy) *followed be bobbing himself on the wrist , then the head twice with his microphone imitating a nail gun and two gunshots*"

    Hugo is awesome.

    I honestly think you're all horrible people, very horrible, bad even. You should all be just ashamed of yourselves! You in particular. Yes, you know who you are. Dont let it happen again.
  4. Those are rather pleasent little sketches

  7. Well thats odd, so you had a link to a mature site in your forum signature, and someone complained to the mods and they talked to your ISP, a seperate server thing, and they took it down themselves? If its a third party and the ISP themselves didnt have rules about mature content on their server, that all seems rather weird to me. Oh well.

    I didn't go through all these (although I should, there are so many great ones) so I wouldn't be surprised to find out someone already did this also, but if not, well there ya go!

    THAT... is freaking awesome. I gotta change mine again...

    I might have overdone this one, it started as my Dawn of the Dead fan art and I added in a few people; http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v482/ranzatsu/SS2.jpg

    And I cleaned up my DBandShia fight one;

  9. Awwwww. Wow, he's really got those tiger stripes down to a T
  10. Aw I thought it was fantastic regardless, I certainly lawled. Thanks Starchasm! Anything with Shia and redbull is win to begin with
  11. I promise to stop posting single threads for just one picture from here on out >_> I draw so many I need to dump them all in that art thread - but this one seemed to hillarious to me to keep contained as such;

  12. This here's a gift for a friend from the virtue server, Nurse White;

  13. Like I do like I do! You also should make them recite some Haiku's, Say. I've always thought that to be rather cool. Themed ones!
  14. I rather enjoyed it some once more. I was very happy to see the interview with Sayterra, as she's gotta be one of my top favorite artists on CoH - and artist of several of my own arts as seen in the previous issue! The Castle interview was interesting, and more so the interview with Dayn from the Virtue server. Its always cool seeing people you know pop up.

    And also, thanks for putting in my pic of Soul Train!

    AAACK!!
    Art info issues are my bad!

    I apologize. I did the articles from work and was interrupted a few times. I can see about having the issues editted! I'm *sooo* sorry!!!

    Edit : I'm really, really, really terribly sorry I made the errors on the authors. I am unable at this time to have it fixed, but will make it up to you in the next issue. I am not overlooking you or your artwork, it is, in fact, quite amazing. I really just need to collect the weekly art pieces without distraction. I'm sooo sorry. I will make it up to you!

    [/ QUOTE ]

    I dont think it's a big deal, and dont really mind myself - so dont worry much! They're all linked to the right artists when you click on them, anyhow. You're not really getting paid or anything for this anyway, right? I think you and the rest are doing a wonderfull job on the Scoop, its fun to read and check up on

    Are all the artists and the art in this issue properly arranged? Dragonberry in the suit is by Bro Shia, aka DrunkFu. There are some other mix ups, I believe.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Hrmm, there's some others, I know who did who on these though.

    The second picture up there, the one named "Dragonberry" was done by me rather than Sayterra - Say's work is alot nicer than that >_>

    The fourth or so picture down, "Megagalactic Void" was a Collab by Scarf_Girl and myself, rather than Sayterra - who is a wonderfull artist and awesome person, but sadly had not to do with that particular peice. Scarfgirl did the linework and I offered to color it.

    The picture after that "E-razor" was drawn by Scarfgirl, as a present for Grabthars_Hammer (I think) though I did a color version of that too!

    It is however a delight to spot pictures of mine in the Scoop, and I think you all do a fantastic job on it!
  19. Thank you all for the comments! Also I've been busy, so I shall to you all some more recent art done;
