Force Fields is ultimate defense. You want ultimate damage. Fire/fire/fire blaster is an excellent choice.

with i24, Force Field's bubbles couples with the blasters regen will make them nasty.

And low levels go by fast. Once the defender hits 22 and puts SOs on the ally shields, the big bubble and picks Maneuvers, the blaster will have very little to care about.

Outside of maybe duoing AVs.

Let's just work together to make the first part of the dev's job.

Gadget Mastery:

• Field Expert: global endurance discount (other APPs have end management, so it stays in theme)
• Cloaking Device: personal stealth
• Body Armor: passive S/L resistance (yes, the blaster values are lame, but they should be buffed anyway)
• Surveillance: Ranged -def / -res (of course, longer recharge than blaster APP version)
• Gun Drone: pew pew pet (why not?)

Energy Mastery:

• Energy Protection: passive energy res/negative res/slow (someone will like the slow resistance)
• Energy Transfer: melee attack (I like the BOOM)
• Energize: End discount / heal
• Kinetic Shield: S/L def armor (yay defense armor)
• Overload: +def(all) +recovery, +max hp

This a spider of concern.

I would love an Energy APP akin to energy aura, but we already have Body Mastery for that...

And since the devs are busy, we might as well agree on what we want on each APP and make it easier for them.

Aye, Fiery Embrace might be hard. Iirc each melee power is coded for Embrace On Y/N for the extra damage, which will be hard.

I think it would be badarsh for a Defender to go Cremating and Burn-ing, so I want those. Isn't Blaster Burn still a 'run away! ahhhh!' power? We could get that. Yes, it would suck, but it would still be fun.

Bonfire is cool, that needs to be taken into account.

And yes, we also need an Ice APP.

Do we have one? Why? Who do we bother to get one? What would you put in it?

I want:
Cremate (ST melee)
Fiery Embrace (+fire dam on all attacks)
Fire Shield (S/L/fire res)
Burn (patch)
Rise of the Phoenix (self rez)

Stone Melee, slot Fault with 3 Recharge and 3 Accuracy and you're set.

Yes, not optimal, but very very fun.

As far as aesthetics go, the two hairdos are the worse offenders. If you were to change one hair only, the one that makes them look like j-pop musicians.

It doesn't help that the new hairdos clip with the masks.

I would transfer a scrapper to Justice for this.

My elec/elec blaster was one of the first chars I built. I hadn't seen elec blast before, so I assumed electricity would be white or yellow as it is on television. I made him an orange / yellow costume and was disheartened with the purple blasts.

Power colorization came around and he became fun again with the right colors. But without APP colorization I could not bear to bring him to level 41.

He'll be coming out again in i24 and hopefully hit 50 at some point.

I find it fascinating that whereas some actors say that one role ruined their career because the audience always wanted them to keep replaying it Baker said being the Doctor ruined his because it was HIM who liked playing as the doctor.

Focused Smite just became acceptably sexy. I am impressed.

Mind checking Focused Smite, Detonation, and Titanium Coating? Iirc those sets had 2-3 mezz protection before, so might get interesting.

EDIT: Impervius Skin has 3% S/L, that is interesting.
