  1. I have a little DS/FF on the test server and i'll likely run with that on live. I might even go and make a DS/traps and work on some kinda off the the wall tech/science concept involving nanotech and sever insanity.
  2. I was working with a Demon/FF on the test server, seems to work pretty well so far. He's still rather low lvl but the Def is a great asset for the Demons. I haven't taken any attacks and i rarely do for MM's but i think that i'm gonna have to make some room for at least one or two of them.

    All the secondaries seem to work well with Demons, good resists so any defense or -to hits will be great for them.. Wonder how to work demon/traps as a concept.

  4. I seem to get a good mix from time to time but mostly commons. They sell well so i don't mind. I haven't gotten a purple in months and it irks me. Seems the fix really did fix it but i'd like to see them move it a touch closer to dropping more set ios than generic ones. Still, it's a good bonus and i'm making some bank once again.
  5. I just want to use build up while in forms.
  6. I really like the Granite form we have now. I like that it makes into a huge DE looking monster. I stand out on the battlefield and when people see me in Granite, they now some bad guy butt kicking is coming. I'd like to keep this version myself.

    That said, more options are always good.
  7. It really only affects pl'ers really. For them rest of us, it's gonna be a great change. There are too many good things about it that make me happy to see it. It'll be easier to make teams and easier to run missions and easier to get to 20. Can't argue with that in the least.

    The only realy change will be to those that Power level. It'll slow that down abit but not really all that much. I don't mind that, but i know there will be a really loud minority that will really be unhappy with it. They'll do what they always do, roar and adapt.


    I don't think we'll lose anyone from it and likely get more people to stay because once those guys hit 50, most get bored and leave. I love the AE and it's a great thing, this change goes a long way to putting it back to what it's supposed to be. All they need to do is top of the Mobs in there to about 50-51 max and limit the all lt/boss missions and i'd say it'd be where it should be from the start.


    Great stuff and i get to have green fire imps.

  8. All this is nice and stuff, but i'm happy i'm getting ATLAS back. I can go back to sitting on my 50's and just chill out in Atlas, talk to newbies, toss some influence or run a CC or just sit and chat without the AE spam. It's like life has be reset to before the AE. Thanks guys.

  11. Even with target caps for nukes and the like, it really won't matter if you don't have to worry about getting agro. The key is how safe would you be with the tanker holding everything to him/her/it's self? Think of a team with one Stone, a huge AE farm map lt's/bosses, and all the rest blasters. Herd then nuke, reset map. I'd almost consider it an exploit if one tank could hold the attention of say 30 or more mobs at once while the rest of the team does there thing with no fear.
  12. Agreed. I don't see a reason to up the Cap myself, besides, half the fun of the game is over pulling and trying to use your wits, skills and prayers to overcome it. I like being knee deep in badguys, trying to keep myself alive and watching a good tank, or if i am that tank at the time, fight to save the team. There is much more drama in that than just standing in one spot waiting on a Tank to bring back the map to a spot, nuke, get a drink, and do it all over again.
  13. Honestly, i don't want the cap raised.

    I'm not a fan of herding and more so of lazy teammates. I think that upping the cap would really just make it so the Tank does all the work and would really limit teaming. If one tank can hold the whole map, then you really make the other AT's rather pointless. The fun for me is in doing what tanks should do, work to protect his team, i know that if a limitless Aggro cap, you still have to work but it makes the game way too safe and easy. It's easy enough really, letting a Tank hold whole maps would just be far too much.

    I'd be for lowering the cap really. This game is so easy and you really have to work hard to get a solid team wipe. It would seem to me to invite people to be lazy or lazier than they normally are. I've seen the AE Farms with a good granite tank, i think i slept through the whole map.


    So,i'm good with the cap as is, perhaps lowering it somewhat. Perhaps i fear that with a higher cap that it would make teams only want Stone Tanks, the one Tank that can take the kind of punishment that a high cap or an unlimited one would breed. I know my fire tank is tough but can't do the old dumpster diving anymore after ED, even sofcaped in defense. I think i'd make cookie cutter teams, one Stoner and all blasters. If one tank could hold all that aggro, you'd never need any other AT, maybe a kin

    I might be over thinking things but really, the game is easy enough as is, we don't need a higher cap. People need to learn to be better players and play smart. If you see a tank try to herd giant rooms, or huge outdoor maps, let him die or save yourself. I can see the joy of tanking a huge map and you're just buried in mobs, but really it isn't realistic or superheroy to be able to do something like that. I guess it breaks my immersion to see one guy hold the aggro of 20 or 50 badguys at once. Makes little sense to me.


    Keep the cap.
  14. It's best to pop a paragonwiki.com down there and say look that over. i wouldn't go much farther than that. Make them go out and learn stuff, if they want to sit in the AE building and learn nothing, that's fine with me, keep them there and off the tf's that i do. I'll be happier because of it. Don't hand feed them, but answer questions as you can. It's what i do. I try not to be spiteful or arrogant, but sometimes it sneaks out.

    You're very nice and it's great that you try to help. I think some of us old guys and girls get abit bent out of shape over it sometimes. It's frustrating and gets on my nerves sometimes, but i do what i can.

  16. SS/Inv is the classic tank, all around great. I started two invul tanks and i'm liking them so far, they are still little. Mace/WP, well ppl say WP is really good, but its not a great tank, it's aggro holding powers aren't as strong as the rest, likely the lowest of all tanks(it's aggro aura isn't good for holding guys to you)

    Both can be fun, i'd say stick to the SS/Invul and see where that leads you.
    If you want a less smashy and i think more fun Tank, try A DM/Shield. A solid set and good powers. Shield charge never gets old and is up enough for solid damage and not up too much that you get tired of seeing whole spawns get smashed with it. It's a good set good def and ok resists. I really like Shield, got a few tankers and scrappers with it.

    Otherwise you can go with Stone maybe Fire Melee. Stone is an ok set that becomes awesome at lvl 33, once you get some slots into Granite. It's a rather night and day difference . Fire is not smashy but is flashy. Fire gets great damage and isn't as resisted as the rest.


    I'd say stick with the SS/Invul or perhaps roll a DM/Shield for less smash and more utility powers. Both are great.

  19. I love my ill/storm, even at 50, i'll still pull him out and just go nuts with him. He's great on teams but even more fun solo when i can just let loose with all the chaos.

    I bring out my fire/rad every so often, he's great on teams and when ppl ask for AV killers, i grab him and show him off. Still fun and monkeys make me happy.
  20. I dunno, i don't really see much that i really like in here that i find worth paying for to be honest. The Super Tailor part is nice but it's something that should be in the game as a feature and not as a buy able bonus pack. Seems kinda lame. I won't be buying it, atleast right now.

    No big loss to me, i don't really see much of the new costume pieces that really, do it for me. Still, it's a maybe in the future buy, it's not going anywhere and i might have a spare 10 bucks one day

    All in all, not for me, but more stuff is always good.

    Why can't my Namesake have a pencil skirt and the cool Magic booster clothing.... i demand change, i demand that we drop the whole dichotomy and do what i say.

  22. I do like taunt on my tankers, just a nice thing to have in a big fight. Besides, it's perfect for the Taunt psi damage proc. I consider Taunt to be less of the, come to me my little friends, and more of an extra AOE attack. Just nice.

    Just slot the proc and it's good to go.
  23. Tanks get priority because of Gauntlet. I want them hitting first and often. That way i don't get hit in the face.

  25. Heh.. i was there and i helped abit. that was kinda fun. Always good to hang out with the top heroes on infinity, though we needed more girls.
