Wendy~ I get what your talkin about and like I said in other posts in made no sense to me.
Until I found out that the core ppl running the tf only wanted to get the end salvage.
Hell even after the tf was over some folks stayed on to clear the map, it seems some folks are just speeding it to get their last piece of salvage to complete w/e they need.
Personally I'm for the kill all and it looks like the vast majority of the population is too,but, as always there is a percentage that make you wonder why they do things the way they do.
Hope this clears up what I was tryin to get across.

Speed runs come from trying to get to the end reward asap to get more reward for time spent.
Since shards drop from kills I have seen many more "kill-most" SFs to maximize shard drops.
Namely WHY we weren't takin our time tryin to get as many kills as possible to get the maximium amount of chances to get shard drops.
Personally I think doin a rikti run is the way to go for gettin shard drops last one I did was 8 shards and 700 merits not too shabby for 30 some odd minutes. -
Best bet is to make new global friends...strike up a conversation with a good player see if it's a fit and add 'em to your global. It's how I do it.

As soon as it became known that shards would drop in them.In addition to special salvage for the incarnate system.Faster you get it done the faster you get your reward.
Thank the devs for doing that.Personally I very rarely run tfs unless I need the special salvage.I do rikti raids and mishes for my shards though.
My suggestion start setting up your teams and explain to everyone what you are doing..who knows you might start a trend.

I couldn't do the slide if my life depended on it.Three things usually happen.
1) I go flying off into space over the side of the hill.(97%)
2) I plow into a tree,rock and/or the chalet(yea figure that one out) (2%)
3) I run someone over sending them to the hospital (1%)
I have the missus play my toon to get the badges she is like Frostette the snowchick sliding down the hill.

Other than that I slot with SO's all the way till 47 then I slot my io sets and such. -

I'm running solo tip/paper mishes on my Bane set at 0/8 and I'm averaging 2 shard drops per mish.
I only get to run tf's/raids on the weekends and I'm not having any problems.I just wish we could sell them and the other salvage on the market.....

Merkuris my spines /da scrapper why for the love of pete did I get him to 50....boring,repetitive.He finally served a purpose I stripped the io sets off of him.
Kreigpakt my ss/fa broot just played him to death on farms now I can't even look at him he's like a dirty secret that I keep locked in the closet.(sorta like my gimp outfit)
Dr. Tesla my ele/ele blaster underpowered and predictable the only time I pull him out is for Hami raids.
Impactite my mace/stone broot same thing too much of a pain to run solo or without a kin, he sits on my select screen gathering dust.
Warpact my bots/ff the first 50 I leveled.So bored to death and total snooze fest.
Thats mine, nowadays I really take my time on getting a toon to 50 I really,really have to luv a toon to get them to that magic number now.I probably hold a record for toons that I have deleted everything from lvl 1 to a lvl 43 I had. -

The people paying the exorbitant prices are the ones that are "ruining" the market. Marketeers don't list items at high prices if no one will pay for them, because they can't earn money if their slots are clogged with merchandise that doesn't move. And they lose the listing fee if they pull the item and relist lower.
If you are listing at 1 to attempt to stop flippers, you're playing right into their hands. They often put in several legitimate (but lowball) bids and then relist at higher price for a decent profit, but no big killing. Or they turn around and craft recipes that are selling for ridiculously high prices as IOs. When they do make a killing is when someone with lots of cash just bids way higher than their listing price. Which as you've seen people do all the time.
If you want to stop flippers you need to post at prices higher than their buying bids, and lower than their selling price. In other words, to beat flippers you need to understand the market and think like a flipper.
However, flippers aren't the enemy of the "little guy" who just wants to get a set of Kinetic Combats. The rich guys who bid outrageously high to jump the line and get the goods immediately are abusing their economic clout. And I seriously doubt the flippers are the ones paying outrageous sums to get stuff they want -- they already know how to get it on the cheap; it's how they make their money. -
I get them on paper mishes in gville all the time on my Bane.Some of my other toons have never seen them.
On one run of the Battle Maiden farm with my fire/kin I got 3 and the missus got one.But havent seen one since...it's just random... -
