DopplegangerTech=win. Ebil dimension constantly trying to invade ours where they're all born inherently stronger than our dimension's inhabitants; lame.
All I know is Incarnate stuff is not for casual players/solo/ or people who like small teams. Couple this with having to grind the hell out of certain tf's to unlock the abilities is a big disappointment for the "end game" content they have come out with.
Praetoria is pretty "meh" I like First Ward, but, the rest is just a pain.

I seriously wish they would have put more content into existing zones, done something with base raids/pvp, more AT's, powersets, more for the game.

As it stands me and the wife are quitting, while I like some of the content that has been coming out I have to say so much has been left to the wayside. Instead they push on for more shineys instead of boosting some areas of the game that could be great.

I think too much time has been vested for the incarnate stuff, I notice my globals disappearing one at a time and it seems like the "golden age" of this game has come to end.

Sorry to say because I thought this game was really going to keep going.

I think this game is heading for a hard core group of VIPs and new ones, mostly prems and F2P. I think the prems and the F2P folk are going to make up the bulk of the population. Seriously think about how many people that do not play now or have gone prem ones that you know, now times that across everyone.

While I am not eluding to this being a doom post, I just think that this is the change that is coming about because of decisions made for the game. Personally I have lost alot of friends recently, I have not seen an exodus like this since the last changes to pvp when I lost about 22 friends. Now I have only seen 2 active and 2 semi active global friends out of 30. Ever since the incarnate stuff has come out these numbers keep dwindling.
  2. I am digging the list of the dwarves, although I wish they would have showed them in the clip. Ian McShane, Eddie Izzard, Bob Hoskins, Toby Jones, Eddie Marsan, Steven Graham and Nick Frost c'mon this a list of win.
  3. Ok so an issue with a bunch of bugs and incarnate stuff......so when is the next issue coming out that does not have incarnate crap in it?
  4. Well considering I work a full time job AND go to school at night I do not have the luxury to sit around all day on my *** and ***** and whine about the game and/or play it.

On weekends I get to play maybe a couple hours if I am lucky, I live in the real world, not some MMO. So getting bent out of shape about downtime and complaining about it on a forum of fellow players is stupid. Complain to the devs, because, frankly the only thing your doing is making a laughing stock out of yourself with threats to quit.

OR keep on complaining because seriously your giving me a good laugh.
  5. Oooo look another thread about people complaining about something AND threats to quit.

I love threads like these it makes me warm and happy inside, sorta like when I kick kittens around and punch children.

Keep up the good work! lmao

The long answer: Yes. Because it's just a dumping ground with zero organization whatsoever. So anyone looking for AT-specific stuff gets it buried with crap from every other AT out there.

It was basically implemented this way because one community guy asked a couple poorly worded questions to a bunch of newbies who hadn't taken the time to actually learn anything about the forums. As such, their lousy, redundant ideas are now an albatross we're all forced to deal with.

Worse, the actual knowledgeable players realize this, if the community people at Paragon are oblivious. Therefore, it is not, AND WILL NOT be used.

In the interest of limiting confusion, Paragon's community should do itself a favor and axe the build forum. I can understand wanting to give the Mid's guys a venue. But this ain't the way.

This gives me a warm feeling inside, sorta like cuddling with puppies.....good post.

On a serious note though do whatever makes YOU happy based on what YOU believe.

why do I say way to fast, well, it seems that if I don't "Keep Up with the Joneses" (get all the new stuff) I stand around high level missions or TFs and do nothing. I sit there bored, and wondering why I even bother.

On the other side, it has made me focus on playing some lower level Characters a bit more, but even then they eventually will get into the boring zone.

The idea of actually building a character is gone also, because the Incarnate stuff makes ATs obsolete. Strategy? Fuggetabouit. Actually feeling like a hero defeating impossible odds? No longer.

City of Heroes appealed to me because it was a different game, one not about the grind. Now that feeling is gone. Rush to 50 and rush to get your incarnate stuff.

This is the reason why me and the wife will be going the premium route. This whole incarnate debacle has really turned me off to the game, I do not want to grind, I do not want judgement, I do not want pets, or w/e else it is you get.

I do not have time to grind, grind, grind to get how many ever shards/merits/points to get powers that I do not want in the first place. Casual players do not have a place in this game with this kind of content.

The focus seems to be get to 50 on a toon and grind the **** out of the tf's...BORING....if I wanted a farmer I would make a ss/fire broot.

I do realize some people might like this but really the "end game" the devs have came up with is just a joke. There is little imagination to farming the same tf's over and over to get lackluster abilities.

While others might like to be spoon fed this drivel I do not, I am so very disappointed in the direction this game has taken.

  10. Actually my Bane is better in game than what Mid's is telling me. I took my build on Mid's built it in game and checked my combat attributes, found out that my defense is actually higher in game.

Checked everything I could too, the io sets I have used, accolades, incarnate abilities, etc and still my Bane in game has better %'s. Not that I am complaining just sorta weird.

I run him like a tank too, only thing that gives him problems are Praetorian baddies but I am running at +4/x8 so I don't expect everything to be easy...

  12. I never use this section, if I want answers or help on builds I goto the appropriate AT forum.

So in response to your question, yes it is.

Rules: Tier Two is unlocked by have one power from Tier One. Thats it. So you get a travel power at level 4 and then have access to Hover or Combat Jump or Afterburner etc etc.

The major advantage I see of doing this would be that you could add new modes of transport without having to create a new complete power pool. So it would be easier to add something like Beast Run into the mix.
    This sounds familiar.....

True I would not mind seeing a debuff/buff set and maybe some melee/ranged options also. I always thought having a MA/SD scrapper with a pistol/ar ranged set would be sorta neat.
  16. I like the idea of having an inherent travel power from the get go ie SS, SJ, Fly, TP.

In addition I think then all the other powers from the various pools should be consoledated into one Travel Power Pool.

Hence AS, CJ, TP friend/foe, etc would all be together have the 4 main picks still at the top
like LR TP, Afterburner, etc. This way say if you chose fly as your inherent then you take the Travel pool and you take tp foe, CJ, and Afterburner this way you only have to unlock one pool. This would open more options down the line.

Personally I think a hero or villain without an inherent travel power is sorta strange.

    Just my thoughts....
  17. Any end game content that requires farming...
  18. I give it less then a year and I am sliding into the premium seat...really do not like the "end game" content. Grind, grind, grind...boring....besides I will be graduating soon and rl is alot better than a game.

I will stay premium and pop in once in awhile but the game is really starting to annoy me more than anything....namely because of all the items that Memphis Bill mentioned in another thread that "disappeared".
  19. I would rather goto Bloody Bay and get my Shivans...then off to Warburg to get some nukes. Shivans for gameplay and nukes to drop on GG....you know you want to... in triplicate no less...

    Farming Build

Best bet is to goto the appropriate forum for your build ie scrapper/brute or the new build workshop forum and try posting there.
  22. I have been runnin into some altitis recently also, I usually roll up builds that I do not commonly see.

    stone melee/inv broot
    ninja/time mm
    spines/wp scrapper
    Beam/sonic corr
    zombie/pain mm

When TW comes out might roll up a /sr to go with it, I have probably made 30+ alts in the past 2 weeks alone.

Damn you devs for givin me all these choices!
