I am Steve and I approve of this -
oh guys, as a part of the Supernation Team captain I agreed to having the fight against "german psychos" at saturday 19:30, I just got to hear this member who can't be present at that time, so we rather have it at Sunday maybe in that time too, is it okay for the german psychos?(or is it a bit too late for that?)

You cant solve a PvP problem by suggesting something that has profound implications for PvE, and, of course visa versa. So it has got a place in this thread. Just as PvE discussions need to consider PvP.
I totally agree that melee PvP needs a hard look at. There are solutions, and I am pretty confident they will come. PvP seems to be looked at carefully at the momemnt, and all changes, whilst they are only small steps, should be applauded.

Ok so a while ago when I did the "Join the Midnight Squad" arc on my tanker solo I got to the part where you're supposed to make that lost curing wand, problem is I realized I didn't get the vial of Hero 1's blood, so now I'm unable to craft the curing wand or continue the arc so I can access cimerora.
I was wondering if there's anyway around this? I've tried to check if you could skip the mission but I couldn't, relogging or so hasn't worked since I kind of left this a long time ago and just now got back on my tank and realized this. -
This is a Kat/SR build I once did for fun, I wish you could have more than one epic power pool, then scrappers could get FA and the web grenade, which helps unbelievably lots when fighting jumpers/fliers
Oh well here it is, take it as you want but it should be a tad better than the build Dior posted.

This is delicious for my main toon :')
(although the powers that got most changed were CAK and CS, I wonder if I should go take them now..) -
a Perma dom is a dominator who's gotten enough +rech that they can keep up Domination up all the time.
He fought in PvE for a bit to charge up the domination bar probably. -
Stun does work, quite well stacking and all, but when you can't reach your opponents, it becomes a really annoying problem, that's why it's a good thing that mace is ranged
-
I'd Recommend try fitting in Mace mastery for the -speed -jump -fly, can be really handy in RV when fighting runners/jumpers/fliers
-
You're mad!!
Well okay, It can be fun I suppose, but not many will like you in teams sadly, and I know this from having experienced two Storm/Energy defenders twice on my whole 2 years of teaming, and I remember it as one of my worst team mates ever to possibly have, being a scrapper as well :P -
Electricity Manipulation? I think I heard about it somewhere in the US forums, don't know if it was a confirmed one by the devs or just a suggestion though..
But Elec, that would be quite neat wouldn't it?
-
This thread amused me quite a bit as it went on, I guess Cyrstal Cat has changed his opinions now regarding his old beliefs on the "AT rankings" and his own chars PvPability?
-
/Ice is also viable for a kinetics just in case you're not so sure on /energy, but yeah, there's not too many that like the knockbacks, specially in teams.
But hey it's true that sometimes the knockback can be a life saver! -
On my old Fire/Kin/Fire build that I made for farming I could complete the family mish 6-spawned in about 8 minutes solo, I had no IO sets or anything, just normal level 50 IOs and a KB res IO (and I agree with the IO sets being used in the build is too much, since I could pull off farming with no set bonuses at all)
-
Snow storm with 1 rech rdx, acrobatics and TI with 1 end rdx each, this build may be quite tough when you don't really have any targets to do a strong enough Heat Loss, but I may be wrong since I've not read up well on the Heat Loss end mod value.
All in all it looks like a nice build but putting positrons blast on a power like sleet, are you sure there's nothing better? because sleet doesn't really damage much and positrons doesn't exactly give much rech.. -
Ahhh, after reading this topic it explains the random cats in atlas yesterday night. Plenty of them too, I think I even saw a green one...
-
Any info if this is just for the blasters or also defenders as well?(would be nice to have aim for the defenders version :/)
-
Actually, isnt a Ice/Energy blast vs Ice Energy tank a easier match for the blaster comparing to a Energy/Energy blast vs Energy/Elec Brute
?
(See, Ice Tanks don't resist smashing which Ice actually happens to have in their attacks as well)
Maybe the Ice blaster does have a chance if the ice tank doesnt have hoarfrost up fast enough and isnt fast enough to click hibernoob :O? -
invul/em tank vs em/electric armor brute, Brute wins because of Energy res
Fire aura/em vs em/electric armor brute, Brute wins because of energy res
BS/regen scrapper vs em/Electric armor, draw
Ice armor/em vs em/electric armor brute, Brute or Draw(Ice Armor just needs to hibernoob :P) -
Well, these days I use the Fireblasts a lot more than ever since I got rid of energy punch.
I only get by using Powerthrust and Bonesmasher, which I think is good enough, it allows me to kill fiery aura brutes if I'm fast enough :P(with BU and Aim up of course) -
[ QUOTE ]
Hai!
Blaster, Elec/EM
1. Lightning Bolt, Power Thrust
2. Energy Punch
4. Build Up
6. Combat Jumping
8. Aim
10. Bone Smasher
12. Zapp
14. Superjump
16. Swift/Hurdle
18. Tesla Cage
20. Health
22. Stamina
24. Stun
26. Voltaic Sentinal
28. Power-Boost
30. Actobatics
32. Nova
35. ?
38. Total Focus
etc.
A Blapper, basically, but taking Electrix for Tesla Cage (which combined with Power-Boost should give me some a decent hold?) and Voltaic, for a pet. Obviously Nova can be swapped for a PvP power at 50.
What do you think? Hopeless?
[/ QUOTE ]
The elec primary is lacking in damage, very, so you must fit in the nukez for PvP!(atleast for duels, half end crash for the winds)
the Voltaic sentinel is really [censored] for damage, but it happens to drain quite the bit of endurance overtime, so slotting it for end mod should be quite nice.
You dont need stun too, you already have them, they're called Bone smasher and Total focus
And you will often not get the chance to use your snipe for PvP, even if you really want to, I remember having Blazing bolt for my blaster and only ever got to use it effectively two times :/
Oh and get Short Circuit, it's an unbelievably strong end drain, and it gets even stronger with powerboost, certainly a good substitute for stun
Otherwise, I guess Elec/Energy is quite nice, certainly not the best, but can be fun and slightly damaging
of course, that was my opinion of a PvP build, it can vary depending if you want to do zones, arena and such. -
Probably Fridays and Saturdays during 5-8 pm would be Ideal, We would be able to have a 3 vs 3 or 4 vs 4 against you guys
