Well okay, It can be fun I suppose, but not many will like you in teams sadly, and I know this from having experienced two Storm/Energy defenders twice on my whole 2 years of teaming, and I remember it as one of my worst team mates ever to possibly have, being a scrapper as well :P
Well I got him up to 7 last night solo, and he did remarkably well. Only problems came when on a run of bad luck I missed several times in a row and got sliced in half by the Snake. The mayhem was very entertaining though.

A life of soloing it may be, but at least it will be a fun toon to solo, and I dont really care about how much use he will get at 50, I have toons for that.

I got a energy/traps to 50 for a laugh, never played the poxy thing since, me sg hated me, but i did do one, so im sure you could do that.
Actually, storm is a very good set.
its awesome in arena matches. i know i was in one last night
but as team goes, i cant see why storm would be a bad thing for teams. as long as u use the storm powers the right way and have good timing
Well Storm/NRG Defender was my first toon and first 50, and to be honest... prepare for lots of fun :P
But being the KB King, teams did tend to get annoyed with me, unless ofc there was controller(s) spamming AoE grounding moves. I teamed with 2 stone troller friends of mine ususally, and to be honest, it was self PL :P
Yeah, you might get a little hated :P But just adds to the already great fun of Storm/NRG :P
In conclusion, get some mates to roll Doms :P

Last night, when I wasnt doing very much, I decided to create a new toon. An energy/storm corr appealed to me for its entertainment value, and 'The Ragdoll Physicist' was born. I played him for a few levels, and found him very entertaining, as anything that manged to get back on its feet, promptly got flung back again, and I did the first few levels only getting hit by the odd ranged attack. There is just so much potential to send stuff flying with this, I can see him being enourmous fun.
Then reality came knocking, and i realised that teams would hate him, open maps would be a nightmare, powers like the -res patch (name?) would be negated unless I could stick it in a corner, or fly up high and knock everything down onto it, and well, just general "can I be bothered to level this guy" thoughts.
So, does anyone have an energy/storm corr or storm/energy fender? Is it really as crazy as it seems? Will I be destined to soloing? Or could this fun toon be the sort of chaotic controll toon I've always wanted?
Thoughts and opinions please! Also, any tips on either set would be greatly appreciated.
