Quote:Who wouldn't want the Golgothan as a pet? However with the new power customization of Rock Control to look like Lava, it's a nice look with /Thermal.This says all kinds of weird things about him. For example, at some point he thought: "Flaming poo would be awesome. I think I'll make one!"
It's the only high level controller I'm playing right now and I've colored the green healing flames to look like traditional yellow/orange fire. -
So based on your theory R2D2 is really a Rad/Rad/Dark Mastery Defender versus Traps/Electric. Oo

Super Speed - Inv/SS - Tank - Costume: Teenager (Obviously this is before he could fly)
Although not super speed, I have the following based on travel powers.
Teleporting - Dual Blade/Inv Magic Scrapper Female with Robotic Arms (too bad multiple arms is not yet a costume feature)
Fly - MA/Regen Scrapper - Vampire -
Ive decided to make my 1st serious tank and planned to go with Will Power primary however Im not sure on the secondary. The following is my perception.
Axe: Low tank damage, High survivability due to Knockdown
Fire: High tank damage, Low survivability due to no Knockdown effect
Just looking for any recommendations and whether my perception is correct or is one better than the other for Teaming and/or Solo play. I would add Air Superiority with Fire Melee. -
Shockwave and Sirens Song are what makes Sonic great for soloing combined with the -Res Debuff.
IMO the secondary doesn't matter too much with a Sonic/. I went with MM for the self heal/end recovery and additional AoE plus I prefer ranged attacks which fit my character concept more than the other secondary powers. -
I just made a Storm / Dark last night since I have yet to try Storm or Dark Blast, I decided to make it a combo.
Tanking seems possible combining Hurricane with Dark Blast's -to hit debuff. I"m not sure if TT suppresses Knockback. -
Where is this 'republish' button located? Cause when I went to publish from an edit it published a duplicate mission.

How does SS/Fire deal with all the End drain?
[/ QUOTE ]
Consume for getting Endurance and Healing Flames is a nice heal which leads to little downtime for SS/Fire.
Add the Electric Fences - Burn combo. -

What would the tier 9 in a dual pistols be? Dont get me wrong, Im gonna make me one the day it comes out (hopefully in beta). But I am just wondering what kind of "nova" you can get with dual pistols. It doesnt have to be "real", lord knows RoA isn't.

We've already got people complaining they can't find a team on some servers, and you want to drop the availability of teams per side by an additional 60%?

Lets talk about teaming/cross alignment communication.
Is it possible that we will be able to communicate with our opposite alignment in this alternate universe and thus team with them creating a larger or equivalent pool from which to form teams?
A new Broadcast Channel might look like this (could be from a Villain or Hero and seen by all): LF team - Hero Missions
Potentially missions could auto side-kick, like AE, to reduce level disparity and increase teaming opportunities. -
Since AE missions can be tagged with alignment I wonder if the mission alignment will effect our alignment direction when Going Rogue hits.
-
I think the basis of the expansion is not side-switching but that you must now choose your alignment in the alternate universe which is like a dual alignment system. This second alignment (which we know can be switched and switched again) is only valid in the alternate universe and you still retain your original character hero/villain alignment in the real world.
This gives us purpose to play our level 50 characters to follow Statesman to the villain side (Paragon City) or follow Lord Recluse to the hero side (Rogue Isles).
For example: Statesman will have a dual alignment:
- Real universe = Hero
- Alt universe = Villain
Possible scenario for our Characters:
- Real universe = Original Hero/Villain Alignment (which can not be changed)
- Alternative universe = Selectable and Switchable Alignment
A dual alignment method seems to leave the original game intact solving issues with: contacts, badges, accolades, SG/VG, WW/BM, EPP, Epic AT although maybe some of these items are disabled in the alternate universe.
Look at the Action House in WoW, its not present in any of the expansion zones which leads me to believe WW/BM may not be accessible in the alternate universe.
WoW also kind of had a dual-alignment system in its 1st expansion TBC with the decision to follow Aldor or Scryer. You needed to choose a side to open quest-lines and you were restricted within certain locations to the specific Aldor/Scryer following however your original alignment remained Horde or Alliance. Now if you wanted to side switch from Aldor to Scryer you needed to complete a series of quests and turn-ins. WotLK was the same way with the NPC factions in Sholozar Basin.
Although I could be totally wrong. -

For the first time, Hero characters can become Villains and vice versa, enabling Heroes to cross over to the Rogue Isles and Villains to experience Paragon City.
[/ QUOTE ]
It could be as simple as:
Paragon City in Preatorian Earth = Villain area
Rogue Isle in Preatorian Earth = Hero area
Therefore allowing us to experience the other area albeit from a different perspective. -
IMO I dont think Side Switching is the most accurate terminology. It could be more like Dual Alignment, where you have a primary alignment (hero or villain from the real universe) that can not be changed. And a secondary alignment (valid only in the alternate universe) which can be switched and switched back again.
Think about, if you are a hero and you follow Statesman. Just because Statesman goes rogue doesnt mean I want my character to become Villain. Therefore the devs are giving us the option to choose our sides in the expansion / alternate universe otherwise there would be no reason for me to purchase the expansion if my hero couldnt remain a hero.
Other items to think about:
Contacts: This would be difficult for a real world side switch
SG/VG: May not function in the alternate universe, you may still earn prestige
WW/BM: May not be available in the alternate universe to keep things separated like they are today. Although Im guessing trades will still function in the alternate universe allowing 2 characters to switch items from hero-villain.
Neutral Alignment: Could be a 3rd option, how and when do you choose your alignment and what if I decide not to choose. You may not get contacts until you choose thou. -
/Fire might be nice because it has a quick recharge heal and a click power to give back endurance.
If you have a RP concept go with it cause that is what will probably yield the most fun for you. -
I understand that you can switch sides in the mirror universe as just because Statesman goes Rogue doesnt mean I want my hero going Rogue hence they allow us to choose/switch sides in this mirror universe.
I dont believe they will allow us to switch sides in the real universe cause you need to have CoH/CoV to play this expansion, imo means a level restriction (could be as low as level 2) which forces you to choose a side in the real universe that can not be changed when in the real universe.
Real Universe = Hero (born)
Mirror Universe = Villain (side switch)
(go from Mirror Universe back to Real Universe) = still a Hero
Other things to consider:
WW/BM - May not be available in mirror universe; which keeps things separated
SG/VG Bases May not function in mirror universe -
Its your three AoE powers (Mudpots, Taunt, Soul Drain) vs. the Scrappers three AoE powers (FSC, SC, AAO).
-
I thought the whole basis of the Expansion was that Statesman goes villain ergo if you follow Statesman you go from Hero to Villain now if you dont want to go Villain you are allowed to switch alliance and join forces with Lord Recluse which is now Hero.
However all this happens in an alternate universe (i.e. separate game) since its a purchased expansion. Obviously there will be complete new zones ergo Atlas Park (villain area) & Mercy Island (hero area) now it maybe possible that Villain and Hero will be able to share all zones versus just special zones.
IMO I highly doubt we will see CoV born characters running through CoH - AP as heroes, I would think the only side switching is within the alternate universe and once you switch back to the real world CoH/CoV your alignment goes to what you originally picked. This might also mean a minimum level requirement (maybe level 4) to enter CoX/GR forcing you to pick Hero or Villain in the original universe. -
Im gonna use the C word. Corrupter
If you are having that tough a time surviving, you may want to try a Corrupter with /Rad or /Dark for a first time character if you dont mind being villain. -
Thanks for posting the build. I was gonna run this as a Brute but now I think Scrapper will be a better choice.

As a /shield scrapper, how would he pick up the Fire aura at 30th? Is there a IO that grants a damage aura as a power now?

Aura = Costume item from quest at lvl 30. -
In case you didnt know, there are multiple car models...once you find the car in destructible objects...look for the right arrow next to the car graphic to scroll through all the models.

I believe CoT or DE has a brown tentacle. It's listed as a boss but has HP like a pet and gives no xp.
