I'm getting tired of these $10 costume packs. I could possibly understand ONE special $10 pack. But now there are 4, with more coming. I don't think people should have to pay $40 extra if they want to access costume pieces other than veteran ones. It just strikes me as majorly low and cheap.

Previously, I had about a game a month habit. That's $50 a month, if not two or three during big game release months. Now, because I play this game, I don't have that habit.
So, it's $45 dollars every three months.
I don't even have one of the latest consoles. Which, if I wasn't playing this game, I more than likely would have one.
So, an extra 10 dollars every few months, isn't going to kill me. Especially compared to what my spending habits were before City of Heroes/Villains. $10 is cheap. -
Some fine capes, hoods, boots and assorted costume pieces here. Glad to see that it doesn't all have to be super glossy armor time. Looking forward to seeing what's up your sleeve next go around.

My latest character concept is for a Brute golem, who's costumes are going to vary as he levels up based on different materials. His initial costume was going to be a "trash golem" composed of basically random junk.
The secondary is going to be /Shield, so the obvious choice there is the manhole cover, but I'm having a really hard time making a convincing 'this thing is a pile of walking junk' costume.
If anyone has any suggestions on various parts I'd really appreciate it!

[/ QUOTE ]Robotic Arm option that gives you just one robotic arm. Use Steampunk as that's the most grungy looking of the arm choices, then use something else for his other hand, or use Steampunk again, but color it differently than the arm/hand combo. Chains are good, there's at least one asymmetrical chain look for chests that I think would work fairly well for a character, like it's the only thing holding his torso together. I think there should be a chain in shoulder options, but I don't know if those are usable with the one robotic arm function, as it may clip with shoulder bits. -

[/ QUOTE ]They don't, but they can add patterns to both bare chest types. So, male characters sorta get an Tops with Skin category. The difference being, as they're male characters, there's no concern for male nipplage showing or not showing. And yes, they suffer from the same issue with lighter colors and flesh tone shading that female characters do. -

Yes, but that set is just kicks, and not much help if you just want to add one good-looking (or thematic) kick to a character using a more punchy/bashy/shooty/slashy powerset.
[/ QUOTE ]That's what the Fighting pool is for. Which, for my money, could be a nice place to just throw in a couple more hand to hand attacks, so if somebody wanted to have more ways to combat mano a mano, they could just use that to add in melee based attacks. -

Objective: King's Row and Galaxy City still appear to have had their level ranges swapped for the spawns from presents. Specifically, KR presents spawn under 5s, GC spawns level 9s. I bugged this last year, too. I don't understand why this hasn't been fixed.

But, you got here before me and pointed this out already. But, I think it wouldn't hurt to type it out again.
Galaxy City-- Winter horde spawning at levels 6-9 (May go up to 10, but I only opened a handful of them before deciding that my new lowbie wasn't going to be able to run away fast enough.)
Kings Row-- Winter horde spawning at levels 2-5(possibly 6, did not personally check enough to be certain) -

Same thing with the ear muffs. Why are they under Detail 1 and not hats? Having to choose one or the other I can't keep my ears warm and protect my eyes from the blinding snow at the same time. This is poor design IMO.
[/ QUOTE ]Or under Ears. Granted, the pointy eared folks would then be unable to use them, but considering it is intended to cover ears, folks with large pointy ears wouldn't really benefit quite as much from the covering that these things would provide. -

I don't know how the drops compare to last year but they do seem to use the standard "streaky" random number generator that other parts of the game suffer from (like loot drops). I dual-boxed a bunch of doors earlier today and on one character I got 8 costume piece drops (3-2-3, 0 of the 4th) and on the other I got one drop and I got that near the end after my other character got 8.

Though, not dual boxing, I found that for one character it took nearly 2 hours to get 3 different pieces, a friend gave me the fourth. Whereas, with another character, I received all 4 within about half an hour. -

Edit: Also, I don't think the Architect would work, at least not with the SG base as the location; as it stands, if you log out there, you are booted back out the main portal.

As for my suggestion, could you open up some of the police stations in other parts of heroside? I noticed that the Skyway police station(behind Westbrush), which used to be open when you first introduced radio missions is closed now.
Also, Atlas and Galaxy both have police stations, of which I'm certain that the Galaxy one's door does not open, it's somewhere between BaB in there and the Kings Row entrance. Speaking of which, I'm no longer sure if you can enter the north end Kings Row police station. Pretty sure it was available at one point. Those are all the one's I can think of off the top of my head, but I wouldn't be surprised if a few of the other stations that don't have any policeband detectives are probably closed as well.
I wonder if part of this has to do with the Kings Row's and Skyway's PD stations being a part of the safeguard police station rescue mission. -

Yes, and this was actually a tricky combination to figure out. A Thugs/Trick Arrow Mastermind for example will be able to customize both their left and right hand pistol as well as their bow.

[/ QUOTE ]To be fair, there's already plenty of dark elvish folks, as well as a handful of Dr'zzt clones, running around Paragon City and the Rogue Isles.
I think the blades look fine. Kinda glad they aren't knives, if for no other reason than it won't be a direct copy of what the redcaps use animation wise. -

1: There is really no reason to do the same Mh/Sg more that once. The reward is 1 time, the mission is long making regular missions worth more XP, and the novelty dies quick.

*sigh* I may be considered the kid complaining about not getting quizzes...
But, Rescue missions without ambushes kinda seem pointless. All the standard missions you get from contacts there is usually an ambush that comes charging for you within a fair amount of time of you rescuing the hostage. However, I have not had one ambush within the Rescue mission in all the time it's been on live servers.
Sure, there's a fair amount of ambushes pre-mission, but none inside the Rescue missions themselves once the rescue portion is underway.
