Well, there are a few forums out there composed of CoH players and probably a few more being made.

Since these are the end times, can the devs share what they were planning for CoH in the long run? Was CoH2 a real thing? How would the Battalion end up? What stories were going to happen?

Let's not point fingers at other games. Guild Wars 2 is a no sub game, they didn't need to push people to it. Canceling one game with subscription fees and a market filled with many money sinks to get people to one with no sub fee and few money sinks (which can be circumvented with in-game gold) is not a sound business plan.

What are you doing to preserve your time playing CoH? For me, I'm going to jot down my character names and powers for posterity.

I've been thinking about making a Street Justice/Energy Aura guy.

Bot hare fine. The first costume I made for him was inspired by the Silver Agent. I have to say, I am finding more uses for the Zeus helm.

I made a new character (staff/nrg scrap) with the name The New Frontiersman. The plan is to have a slew of costumes that look like they come from the silver age of comics or are somewhat retro. I only have a few ideas, some using the new sci-fi set, but not a lot. What are some of your silver age ideas?

I've been hearing a lot about Staff fighting, but Titan weapon seems interesting.

Hey all. Been away for a bit and seeing how there are a lot of new melee powersets, I want to make a new scrapper. The last one I played was an MA/Regen who, while fun, wasn't always the best. So I ask you, what would you suggest for a viable, but fun build?

Hulu is a last resort. Even if you pay for it, you still have to sit through commercials.

Maybe he was just roleplaying as a nice person.

I liked Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, much more than Temple of Doom, but replacing Murray won't work. That's worse than having him killed or sent off between films. That would be like replacing Harrison Ford. I'd rather they don't even try to make another.

This is the best thread. It deserves a dramatic reading.

That picture perfectly sums up my feelings towards this thread.

BAD CHARACTER STORY: Visit the "Rumors about the ressurection of Marcus Cole." thread.

Statesman will come back from the dead when Statesboy Prime punches the walls of reality.

All I have to say is that Gary Oldman, Max von Sydow, and Kung Fu Panda 2 should win in their respective categories.

Quote:Well, Captain Marvel (that's Mar-Vel) has managed to stay dead all these years.Ah, but folks come and go on the team, so what is passe today might be retro chic tomorrow.
While it was extremely rare, there WERE people that got killed and stayed dead in the comics. Bucky and Uncle Ben.
And now... Bucky apparently "got better" like John Cleese. He stayed dead for a long, long, long time, though.
And for all I know, Uncle Ben will be returning on a retconned cloud of Converted Rice in a moment or two.
But I think States will show back up again... and we will be shocked, shocked that there is gambling going on in this place. -
I'm still mad that he wasn't in Captain America while Stan Lee was for some reason.

During the recent event "Fear Itself" an Asgardian hammer took over the Juggernaut (and a bunch of other villains, the Hulk and the Thing, but that's not important) and he was completely unstoppable when fighting the X-Men. Colossus, knowing the only way to stop him is to use the power of the Crimson Gem of Cytorak (which gives Juggy his normal powers) to super charge himself to take him down, effectively making him the new Juggernaut.

Quote:That reminds me of the hero turned villain in Irredeemable. Basically the Superman analog powers are explained as a sort of manipulation of the world around him. His "flying" is basically squeezing himself between space and his invulnerability is him subconsciously increasing his own density will decreasing what is hitting him. The decrease in density also explains why the huge things he lifts don't collapse on themselves. Also, his heat vision is him speeding up the molecules in his ling of sight. In one of the old genre magazines (Fangoria or an SF-based one) there was an excellent article that postulated that Superman's powers were psionic, and that his weakness to Kryptonite was psychosomatic.
Strength/Invulnerability/Flight/Breath = Telekinesis
Senses = Clairvoyance
In any case, it's pretty obvious that it's not muscles made out of cellulose that allow you to punch through a bank vault.
