Quote:Well, the problem here Zwhyareyouwastingyourweekendontheforums seems to be that since the OCR team is the one that tells us about unpopular decisions that have been made by either the Dev team or, more likely, NCSoft then the OCR team is obviously to blame for the unpopular decision.Out of curiosity, what current Community Team policies favor the North American playerbase over the EU? Meet and Greets not withstanding.
You know what things we mean. Things like deciding to merge the forums (obviously an OCR team plot to rule the world) and the resultant name collisions and the decision made (most likely by someone dealing with the databases) that name collisions would be resolved by prepending an EU_ or _EU (whichever it is) to the username. I mean, that's very obviously a decision that was made by the OCR team and not by the NCSoft team that deals with the databases and accounts. Right?
Or the global database merges that resulted in the smaller EU database entries being changed instead of basing the decision on any other criteria that might be more work. That couldn't have been a decision made by those that maintain and work on the databases, it had to have been something decreed by the OCR team.
And the removal of localization in the game for German and French was obviously your decision since you couldn't even spell Zwillinge correctly when Avatea pronounced it for you but you just had to Americanize it by adding an r to the end of it. I mean, it's not like a cost analysis was done by someone in NCSoft that determined that this was no longer cost effective.
See? It's obvious that since the name of the studio was changed to Paragon Studios from NCSoft NorCal that the OCR team has had it in for the EU players.

Also, since it is the weekend you aren't likely to get a response until Monday.
It's possible, but not probable. -
It's only necessary to run them normally first for the DA arcs as far as I'm aware.
You don't have to have Alpha slotted, only unlocked fully in order to run the DA arcs as your own mission.
EDIT: I'd also recommend talking to Taskmaster Gabriel as soon as you start the DA chain and then once you finish all of the DA missions. He gives a reward of 2 Empyrean's for completing all of the DA arcs, whether it is on the initial run through or on subsequent runs through Ouroboros. You can get this reward once per week. Also, if you do the side missions for Max's arc (either through the first run or through Ouro) then running the final mission subsequently will remember that you have run them and you'll have the helpers. It isn't necessary to run the side missions each time after you've run them once. I think this is part of the reason Max's arc doesn't have a reward table at the end. -

It depends on what you need to contact them for.
If it's to report a forum violation, use the Report Post button at the bottom of the left column next to a post. It looks like a white triangle with a red outline. If you want to get one of your own threads closed, removed, moved or whatever, you can use the Report Post to ask them to do those things, just be sure to mention that it is a thread you started.
If it's for something else, you can email them at cohcommunity@paragonstudios.com although I don't know how often they check that account.
You could try asking a question during Freedom Fridays on Facebook, asking a question at other times on their Facebook page, or replying to one of their Twitter posts. -
First things first.
Are you level 50?
Is your Alpha Slot completely unlocked? Not partially unlocked, fully unlocked.
Have you run the DA arcs normally (not through Ouroboros) first? You have to start with the introductory contact's mission (Captain Nolan in Peregrine Island for heroes, a threatening Arachnos message for villains). That will get the DA arcs started on your character.
You will have to complete the Heather Townshend arc in this manner (running it through the DA contact chain) before you can run it through Ouroboros. Also, I recommend doing the personal missions during the initial run through of the arc as it seems to be counting the arc as still open if you don't so these (even though they are supposed to be optional). The same applies to all of the DA arc missions. You must do them as part of the DA chain normally before doing them through Ouroboros.
If you have met all of the above conditions and it still isn't letting you access it through Ouro you will need to file a /petition in-game or file a support ticket using the Ask A Question tab or the Live Help tab (if it's during hours that it is available) at the CoH Support site. -

Bzzzzzt.
Or as Dr. Cox would put it.
Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.
Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.
You're wrong.

Quote:That wasn't what DarkCurrent was claiming however. They said that stealth powers keep the Rikti from seeing characters so they don't teleport down.I have. They port in. Stand around. Then despawn. Unless a Drone is present, of course. Same with Zombies.
I could probably have worded it better by not using the word "ignored" but the following sentences made it clear in what context I was using the word. -
I've never been ignored by the Rikti during raids even when stealthed.
I can be off by myself and they'll port in to where I am.
Most of my characters with Stealth use a Celerity in Sprint (always on) and Cloaking Device. One uses SS coupled with Celerity in Sprint (always on), two use Stealth from the Concealment pool with Celerity in Sprint (always on), one uses Group Invisibility coupled with Celerity in Sprint (always on).
Similarly, I've not had problems with the Nemesis invasion troops or Zombie Apocalypse in getting them to see me due to my stealth. -
Quote:Would that be in the Base Construction forum section in the Player Help section of the forums? There's a base building forum/thread in here (I forget which sub-forum) as well as a BaseBuilders chanel ingame. Tip: When moving rooms around, switch to a larger plot size until you're done.

That way I can do it before the live feed.
As for how the entries for the promotion will be handled ...

And it's quite possible that Hit Streak didn't know and is having to find out.
It's possible that they are looking at multiple options and the final solution hasn't been determined either. -
The badge title is corrected in the patch currently on Beta.

I think the content in I25 and the issues that come after it should be the template for the future.

Your previous posts did nothing for any of the helpful people that frequent this section of the forums to be able to help you.
In order to help you there is information that is needed and following the steps in that Guide will show you how to post the information needed so that others can help you.
Without that information it would be like throwing wet socks against a wall to see if anything sticks.
Good luck in getting your problems resolved without being willing to provide information needed in order to help you. -
I've gotten it recently.
After over 36 hours with no other response I put in an update on the petition and got a resolution within a few hours.
I think they've cut some of the support staffing on the weekends or overnight shifts or they've been deluged with problems from their other games and we're getting the short end of the stick.
As for the OP, you may want to remove the quoted response from Customer Support since that violates the posted Forum Rules and Guidelines (#4). -
Quote:Considering that they've said the new project is an "exciting new IP" that pretty much eliminates it from being CoH 2.^A CoH2 would be advertised like this game was before it launched, as, yes, this game's population is too small to support a second game alone.
How do you expect us to answer that?
As to 'Do you expect to see CoH2?', then yes, I do, and speculate it's the 'secret project' so many devs have been moved too. Make note I don't expect to see it for a long time, though. -
Quote:I thought he had, but couldn't remember specifically so wasn't going to go there.Protean actually referred to himself as "Johnny Ambush" in the first Player Summit, so I think that's him.
I'm getting old and the memory isn't what it used to be.
However, he was referred to as Johnny Ambush long before the Player Summit. Once I got confirmation from a reliable source (Liquid) that my memory wasn't off, I started looking for references to back it up and found one.
I'm going to cut part of the quote due to images and such, but want to post it specifically for the opening line:
That post was from March 2011. -
Quote:Bruce was gone shortly after the second HeroCon which was where they announced GR. The ParagonWiki entry lists a general timeframe of sometime between November 2009 to January 2010 which matches my information. EDIT: I found a few Twitter posts from him that said he left Paragon in December because he got an offer he "couldn't refuse". Those Tweets were from early February 2010.From what I understand, Bruce Harlick wrote most of First Ward (aka Ambush City) and had high input in GR zones (Ambush Central).
It's likely that he had quite a bit of input early on for the writing of the storylines in the initial GR zones, but I think you have the wrong person for the First Ward storyline. He'd been gone from Paragon Studios long before First Ward.
IIRC First Ward was written by either Dr. Aeon or Protean although .Viridian. may have been involved in that as well. -
PM's, whether to the Devs, OCR team or other players is VIP only.

Quote:I don't recall that many ambushes being put in while Foxbat ... er ... Horatio was working there. At least Mister Ambush, Himself, (Bruce Harlick) no longer works at Paragon, so we don't have that problem anymore.
(I think they need to make a pass over First Ward enemies, those tentacle girls are horrendous!)
I think it's either Aeon or Protean that seems to have the Ambush Bug.
