Game Went Nuts

First off let me say im re-installing game as we speak.

Logged in this morning to wierdest graphic errors i have ever seen. Did a full restart of computer and game. Upon entering game by settings/keybinds/controls were all goofed up and ALL my global/server friends lists were gone.

I am by no means new to CoH so i have seen a few of these problems before but this was getting excessive. I reset most of the controls and started sending Offline Messages to friends so they were aware of this loss, then sent a Pettion to the Devs regarding the problem when things went south fast. After adding a few back to list and swapping toons settings changed again and lost the few people i re-added to globals,then the game crashed.

Now when attempting to log in getting cannot connect messages..
Anyone else have this problem? Did Coh Implode in a War while i slept .??heheh
Probably corrupted Files or who knows..

- Stuck Character: If you find your character stuck in the terrain, you can often use the "/stuck" command to move your character to a valid location.

- Harassment: If you are being harassed by another player, please use the "/ignore" command for immediate relief of the offensive language while we investigate.

I am by no means upset nor pointing fingers, just hoping someone may have experienced something similar to helpme fix it.

Note i ran a fullsystem check on my Computer and found no malware, viruses ect...

Definately a wierd way to start the weekend of fighting crime.
Any help or advice appreciated, starting with could i have posted this thread in a better place..Thanks alot to best community of players i know

I have no idea what's going on, but you may want to repost this in the bug reports forum and/or the tech support forum. There are people much more knowledgeable about the inner workings of the game there who might know what's up.

Thanks too both of you for the advice and links. Re-install so far has worked but im nervous, will for future problems use what yall suggested.

I've gotten it recently.

After over 36 hours with no other response I put in an update on the petition and got a resolution within a few hours.

I think they've cut some of the support staffing on the weekends or overnight shifts or they've been deluged with problems from their other games and we're getting the short end of the stick.

As for the OP, you may want to remove the quoted response from Customer Support since that violates the posted Forum Rules and Guidelines (#4).


If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

I got that response once before. When I finally got an answer they said that they were at a team meeting.
