Try setting Ambient Occlusion to OFF. That old of a card isn't likely to handle the AO settings very well.

Also, there are a LOT of unneeded programs running at startup (see the O4 section) that don't need to be running all the time using up precious memory and processes. For an older machine with limited memory such as yours, it's best to run as lean as possible when gaming.

Are you running the game through Steam? Or do you have it tied to Steam to show your status in the game? If so, try shutting off Steam and run it without it to see if it makes a difference.

EDIT: Afterthought time. I remember someone mentioning that turning off Chat Logging helped resolve their issues in situations that were AOE or PBAOE heavy. It seems that all of the extra text from the additional ticks of the AOE and PBAOE powers was spamming the chat logs causing them lag. Would be worth a try to see if it helps you.

With older nVidia cards I've had much better luck using the 197.45 drivers from April of 2010 than any of the 2xx.xx series of drivers.

These drivers are the last WHQL drivers released before going to the 2xx.xx series. They are UM compatible.

You can find them easily using the Beta and Archived driver link on the nVidia pages.

I changed mine in November. Haven't felt a need to change it recently.

I know that I've seen Zombie Man's and possibly Master Blade's icons changed since mine was changed.

Objective feedback: Launcher installed easily and detected all of my Live, Test, and Beta installations. Updating Test took much longer than the normal updater, something like 2 and half hours. Updating Beta took longer as well, but only around an hour and a half instead. Of course, I've updated Beta more recently than I've updated Test.

Subjective Feedback: I like being able to have a single launcher to update all three installs. Being able to set it to allow launching multiple instances of the game is nice as well. I don't like seeing all the games I don't have installed and it would be nice to have an option to hide those. Options are always good. I don't like the slower downloading speed.

While waiting for the update to Test to complete and hoping the speed would pick up I decided to check another vBulletin forum I frequent. Just opening the site in either IE or Firefox slowed down the update. I have that forum set to hide all images, smilies, hyperlinks (aside from site navigation links) and anything other than plain text. Yeah, boring, but the focus of that forum is more suited to being plain text. The reason I mention all of the settings I use on that site is to show that it isn't the downloading of images or anything else on that site that should have caused a speed reduction in the updater.

All in all, it's not something that's going to make me quit playing the game, but it could use some improvements in the speed of the download and presenting a few more options such as hiding games not installed.

Please run the current version of CoH Helper as well. The version you ran and posted from is outdated and doesn't show all of the information that the current version shows. Also, it would account for several of the "Unknown" entries showing.

Looks like one of the really really old bug messages from somewhere around the initial Beta or right after launch.

I'd suggest sending a PM to The Television (so he can get programming to look at where this is coming from, and possibly update the error message) or possibly Second Measure with a link to this thread so they can see the error message.

I'd suggest sending one to Alpha Wolf as well since he's in QA. Just don't interrupt him while he's eating his Double Double from In-N-Out.
