Trapdoor crash

Posted

To get down to brass tacks I have attempted to complete this mission for a day and a half with no success. Other missions outside this trial I have no problems, it is only this one I seem to have problems.

It would probably be useful to provide information about how and where you are crashing.

The how I have no clue. And as I said I crash when I am in the mission. I can start a fight with him go about two or more minutes with him and then boom I get a white screen and then it forcing me to close the game.

It's probably Trapdoor telling you that you have no chance at beating him...

But seriously, if you have your graphics maxed, that is a dark, dingy, smoky room with particle counts out the wazoo. The lava is active, smoldering etc. Could just be a plain ole Gcard going AHHHHHH!!! Kinda like that 1 particular arachnos map that gives my dual GTX 295, Quad core system a brain mild stroke...

By how I meant how does it crash, BSOD, crash to desktop, infinite sound loop etc.

In any case, the last room in that mission is very graphics intensive and that sounds like a graphics card related issue. Try turning your settings down to the minimum and see if that fixes it. If it does then I'd recommend monitoring your GPU temperature while runnign with normal settings and seeing if you're running hot.

That looks outta whack to me. IIRC,

Most GTs were either 512 or 1GB

I know my on-board Quadro FX570 on my laptop only reports it's 512MB of RAM.

Either your drivers are corrupted (in which case uninstall them, run a driver cleaner, then reinstall from a fresh download) or your vidcard is damaged and sending the wrong info to the OS, causing it to believe there's actually almost 4GB of RAM on the card.

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

Have not done that yet. I will test it.

Please run the current version of CoH Helper as well. The version you ran and posted from is outdated and doesn't show all of the information that the current version shows. Also, it would account for several of the "Unknown" entries showing.

The link to the site with the current version is at the top of the CoH Helper info you posted.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Black Pebble is my new hero.

Uninstalled and reinstalled and was able to finish the mission. Thanks guys and I am upgrading my CoHelper right now.
