When you reach level 10 go ahead and switch your build to the alternate build and back. That will unlock another 5 of them.

Oh and talking about extreme EULA's I just read this morning that Sony added a clause to their online games stating. "You can't file a class action lawsuit against them." Apparently in an attempt to head off class action lawsuits over the hacking incident they had.
That said the same article mentioned that yes it is a legal clause but it is doubtful it could actually be enforced. Ie it wouldn't stop you from filing a class action lawsuit but then they probably could legally terminate your account if you did. ::shrug:: -
In beta I had the rocket board and it is great. That said Once I got to level 4 I grabbed fly. Primarily because of the toggle dropping.

Remember VIP Headstart = final beta testing pass. Or maybe a GAMMA testing pass. Basically everything is up and running for real. But they want to keep the population limited in some way because things might still go wrong.

While I agree the UI could use work, I can remember changing jumpers on sound cards just to play different games.
Having to click through a clunky interface is not, in any way, going to daunt me from finding and purchasing the goodies I desire.
I mean, if I wait in line at a retail establishment or restaurant and endure the inane conversations of the patrons ahead of me that don't understand what things like 'on the side' or 'buy 5 get one free' mean, I can have the patience to navigate through a few menus.
For me, there is no mistrust, there is no fear, there are only goodies waiting for me to acquire them.
That said the others all improved so I expect that this one will too. -

It's very annoying that it's not, either way.
I believe I've seen someone state that they want to fix that so that things you buy are hidden but have been having fun with it.
I think that was from a dev but my mind is fuzzy and full of mice.

As for the whole monitoring thing, it's back to you giving them permission to do it - you're not giving up any rights, any more than you're giving up a right to privacy when you get frisked by a TSA employee. (Though if NCSoft got as invasive as TSA, I'd be sending a stern letter to the upper management.)

No, you will get a reward token for every month you are subscribed, and one for every 1200 PP ($15 dollar vbalue) you purchase from the market. You do not get reward tokens for spending points in the market, nor do the 400 PP you get every month as a subscriber get you reward tokens.
The free points are part of the $15 you spend for the month and count into that reward token which is why they don't count. -
The key is after you copy the files you'll need to start the launcher then right click on the CITY OF HEROES link and choose repair.
If you forget to repair after copying it will do the full download. -
Go wild delete all of your characters and replace them with beam weapon characters. .... Or not.

The problem was that the sale time was in a color that was hard to read and I was buying it anyway so didn't stop to stare at it to long. The dark blue they used for the sale time is very hard to read though.

No the problem is specifically with buying months in advance. Ie I buy 6 months at a time. In theory I should have gotten all of my tokens for the future months when the game came up. Unfortunately there seems to be a problem with the system so that they can only give the tokens for months out as each month starts. That is what they need to fix. -

On the second question Celestial will remain a Tier 9 VIP only item. What they mean is that they will have a number of different items that they rotate in and out of the 3 VIP only Tier 9. How often they rotate them probably will depend on how many they have. -
Just so you know beam rifle is on sale for a day? longer? Forget... Anyway it's on sale for 640 points.

If you have the latest beta client installed you can copy the PIGGS folder to the main copies folder then run the repair utility and it will take maybe all of 10 minutes. That is what I did last night at home and it worked perfectly. -

The devs were intending to allow us to play while it was downloading. ie the costume creator would be down first then the tutorial and then the maps in level order but they didn't get it implemented in time.
Anyway copying the key folders from an up to date beta copy and then running repair works like a charm. 10 minutes and your up and running. You did beta test it right? -
They want it to work that way but as the posted link shows there is a bug currently so they can only give the tokens out monthly. They are working to fix it soonest.

My point is, you will. I expect everyone will be setting it off 'accidentally' for a few weeks while the kinks get ironed out, while they watch the figures and adjust accordingly. Testing it before it's in full-time run mode only means you'll have to go back and do all that testing again down the road.

Things known for certain about MARTy based on testing and Zwillinger's comments.
1. If triggered it stops all rewards for a period of time. Length unknown but presumably based on how hard you pushed past the limit.
2. If it triggers while playing dev designed content that is a bug. So if your in a newspaper or radio mission and it triggers then you should bug it. IF your in a Speed TF etc and and it triggers bug it.
3. In other words it primarily is designed to catch player built content that is to some level or the other much more efficient than equivalent dev built content.
4. Triggering it shuts of your rewards for a period of time and creates a log file entry.
5. Having the log file entry from MARTy isn't automatically a black mark. Generally it is a shrug and go on. Excessive or unusual triggering of it will result in someone investigating further. Ie. Playing the latest super farm and triggering it will just get a log entry. Finding some weird case where you stand in the right spot and whistle the happy woodcutter song while tugging on your right ear to cause all of the critters in Perez Park to explode will get you investigated. Particularly if you do the latter repeatedly and don't bug it.
6. They will use the logs to identify technics being used to build the super farms and kill said techniques.
7. They will use the logs to spot new exploits that haven't been reported.
8. Because the rewards are capped at what is considered a maximum acceptable level active exploits won't result in an immediate shutdown of the servers until a fix is ready anymore.
9. After reading the transcript of the chat this morning the time the rewards cut off for are 1 - 10 minutes. Probably depending on how much you exceeded the trigger limit by.
