The way I was understanding it, they meant that Leadership powers would no longer self-target (like Grant Cover from Shield Defense), which I would call a fairly significant difference.
-
Maybe they'll put all the bonuses (jump/run/fly/regen/recover) into one "Fitness" power that you get at level 2.
-
I think even Mr. T would pity the fool who bet on him in that fight.
-
I don't know that Fitness as an inherent ability is a good idea, but I'd say it goes a small way towards counter-acting the bad idea of Endurance.

Quote:Given that the buffs are effectively permanent for an entire team right out of the box, as it were, any increase to their duration is essentially a QoL improvement rather than a performance boost. It would be daft to balance such a QoL improvement with a performance decrease. The buffs are not underperforming. ("I don't like applying them this much" is not underperforming, it's personal opinion.) Therefore, increasing their duration will be "paid for" by an increased END cost or decreased effectiveness (or something else.)
That said, as single target click buffs go, I think the duration on the various "bubbles" is fine. For me they are currently riding a fine line between being short enough on duration that the re-application annoys me and being so long in duration that I forget to reapply them. -
I had a similar problem once before, though I wasn't trying to run the game at quite so high a resolution it wasn't displaying properly when I selected the appropriate resolution in the options, cutting off a portion of the screen. As I recall, there were two selections for the resolution in question in the options: one with "(desktop)" after it and one without. I believe I had to select the one that specifically had "(desktop)" appended to it for it to work correctly.

Alas, I haven't been looking for new Brave & the Bold episodes; I thought it had been cancelled.

Quote:He at least needs to star in a series with Michael Jackson-lite... they could call it "Weird Tales" and feature appearances by characters such as Conan the Librarian and Howard the Duck.I'm sure it's just a matter of time before they restart the series...
...with Deadpool thrown in. Seriously, how many friggin' titles does Deathstroke-lite need to be in anyway? -
No, what he needs is to run around without his helmet for a good while and pound the bejeezus out of a series of some incredibly tough non-psychic opponents so that the numerous idiots out there who think his power/physical invulnerability comes from his helmet might learn something.

When Positron says 'for the entire future of the product' he is speaking in a purely temporal fashion. He's talking about maintaining and improving PvP for as long as the game exists, rather than, as he says, just Issue 13. Whereas the thread title lacks the context and thus seems to imply that the future of the game depends upon PVP. It is that implication of dependance which, I believe, Memphis_Bill is saying is laughable, and it is an implication unsupported by the Positron quote.

I'm not exactly a spring chicken, and I grew up watching a number of things that were old when I was young, but I'm afraid that strange handpuppet monstrosity is from something outside my frame of reference. -
Quote:Isn't there a turning speed option? I play with a dual-analog gamepad, and thus am basically turning just as if I were using a keyboard to do so and I don't find that it turns particularly slow. And I've never had much problem with my superspeed characters (but then, I also play numerous racing games wherein the speed is higher and the turning a good deal less responsive).Furthermore, even today, I see plenty of people do the "slow turn." What I mean by this is a person will run up to a dead end, realise it, then slooowly turn around in place before running back. I know how slowly characters turn with Q and E, and I can spot it from a mile away. How do these people use Super Speed at all?
-
If he *did* do that, it would turn out that no one believed him but Jor-El, and thus Superman would merely end up being responsible for saving himself. In other words, it ultimately wouldn't change anything.

What's next? $8 for an emote pack and the only emote you get is /em ragequit?
I kid, but I'll definitely be passing on this one. I *could* be tempted to buy an all emote pack, but the price would have to be a lot better. -
Levels 1-20 are like an uphill trudge. They are the proverbial watched pot from which you cannot look away until it comes to a boil. Getting Stamina early will help, but it will still be a bt of an annoying trudge to climb 20 levels to reach a level of power that seems more fitting for a level 1 superhero. Perception is a key ingredient of grind.

I eagerly await this change...
Mainly so I can finally and unabashedly make Move Man, the guy with all four travel power pools. Preferably with all 16 powers from said pools, though I might convince myself to skip the 4th powers. -
Quote:Indeed, I would think added features/improvements would go towards maintaining the existing player subscriptions (and perhaps reclaiming lapsed subs) more than gaining new ones. That isn't to say you shouldn't add features, you just shouldn't expect them to bring in many lasting new players beyond the normal churn. Marketing brings in new players in excess of the expected flow, not new features. New features can help marketing do their job, but isn't a necessity.

Quote:While I've always enjoyed musicals, I don't know if I count as an "average musical fan." But since I don't typically go to theatres of the non-movie kind, I don't get exposed to a number of musicals unless I happen across them on TV, an actual movie version gets made, or someone happens to mention one I haven't seen which I can easily access.Cats was one of broadway's longest running shows. The average musical fan doesn't know what Into The Woods or Assassins are.
This is endless aggravation for me.
"Into the Woods" has been added to my Netflix instant queue. -
It's true, to an extent. It's hard to pull away from the precedents you set at launch. For instance, if your game starts out with a well-paced, twenty level tutorial that leads into a sluggish, directionless and bland grind, it can be hard to shed that image, by Krom. Or, say, you were to launch your game with an immediate and massive nerfing, even if you're starting to find some balance a year later you might find yourself short on champions for your cause due to your rocky start.
