I think I'd like to see a version with more obvious "flashy boom boom energy" visuals, but after seeing this I can see why the current effects still work for some people still

Ideally, I'd like to see the Forcefields graphics for Energy Aura, with an option for them to only play when the the character is hit (whether the attack was deflected or not), such that a bubble only pops up when you take a hit. Or, how about a bubble that's always on but very transparent up until it gets hit, at which point it turns opaque for half a second, and then returns to being transparent? That would be amazing
In superhero comics, forcefields tend to have strong energy effects and the bubbles we have in game just don't compare. They look too flimsy! -
Force Field could really do with some better graphic effects. I hate that they look like silly soap bubbles that could pop any second. A stronger graphic would make them look less wishy-washy and more like protective energy shields.
Examples: the energy shield in "energy morph" costume emote, or something similar to the incarnate Barrier power.

Ohhhhhhh! I think this is great! Looks like a cleaner, brighter and more modern look
Despite the years of lore set up in CoX, I think it is great to see them moving on and giving a breath of fresh air to the franchise! New threats, new storylines and new beginnings. It's amazing how a simple change of imagery can help a franchise move on.
I think I'm so embracing of this because one of the positives about superhero universes (from what i've seen reading comics) is that it can be rewritten at any time and anything is possbile! Unless you take them on with a heavy heart, nothing is set in stone

My main Warlocke has gone through many changes since 2005! He was originally called Black Mage, but it wasn't until after the name change that I found his two signature looks

Formally @Black Mage... tried to go @Warlocke after my main (was taken)... now I'm stuck with ruddy @EU- Black Mage... I feel so labeled with the 'EU' now

I couldn't see it anywhere on the patch notes, but I logged onto my radiation blaster last night and noticed X-Ray Beam has a new 'freeeeeem' from fists animation!
Was this new or have a been blind for a while? -

Tsoo: I always have an interesting time fighting Tsoo in teams. They have such a broad power range that fighting them in large groups often results in full scale elemental madness!! Great fun visually! -

From what can be seen here : http://www.onrpg.com/boards/166555-6/ it seems as the NPC designing contest winners have been determined, even at the NCSoft level, therefore, I have a few questions :
- When are we going to see some official results on the COH website ?
- According to the rules posted on the announcement on these forums "our European partners will each provide their top entry to NCsoft for the Grand Prize", how is it possible for onrpg to claim having won 1st AND 2nd place, if they were only supposed to send a single participation for the "Grand Prize" ?
- I also would like to point out that that the lack of guidelines and rules about how to participate in the contest might have given a slight disadvantage to the people participating from some partner websites.
* Gamekult had their participants submit a single screenshot by website account via a web form, displayed immediately (no indications against montages, bios, etc...)
* Onlinewelten seems to have asked their participants to send a screenshot by e-mail (my german might be a bit rusty)
* Onrpg allowed posting on their forums of several screenshots, even several characters, with bios and showing multiple costumes.

Black Mage was my original forum handle, named after my first lvl 50 and my main!
Then 3 years down the line, I re-vamped all my existing characters concepts and Black Mage henceforth became Warlocke... Byebye to the Final Fantasy wannabe and hello to the shadow wandering rogue
So yeah Warlocke I've become, but the nostalgia has made me keep @Black Mage as my ingame handle! -
