I know for fact this has been suggested before, but I got a reminded today when, while swapping gender on a Bane Spider costume, I suddenly ended up with a female Wolf Spider with no helmet.
Now, the funny thing was, it was even listed differently in the drop-down. Instead of 'Wolf & Helm', which is the default, it just said 'Wolf'. There was even a long list of the expected stuff, like hair, head details, etc.
I was so surprised and busy flicking through menus to see what had just happened that I forgot to screenshot it. Which is annoying, because, despite trying, I've not been able to replicate the effect. Sad panda...
HOWEVER. The very existence of that separate option, with it's own menus and labelling, make we want to point out that this suggestion has been around for ages, and that, since the correct lists and whatnot appear to already be in game....why is this not a reality, already? I have yet to hear any good counters from anyone on the Dev team... -
Quote:Oh look, gross over-exaggeration.Just make 1 giant AT with every power like it was in Alpha.. that is what this game has become now anyway with stuff like IOs, Incarnates and the new P2Win powers. =(
If that were true, we'd be in the same boat as that other Super Hero MMO. i.e. practically dead. -
I still don't get why the Dwarf Flare got changed. I mean, Dwarves can't fly. That was the only reason the power was changed. So...why change it on the form that can't fly? Uh....durrhurr?
Honestly, I wish they'd used the new Titan Weapon tech to detect when the character was flying and THEN change the animation/power. I liked the old footstomp attack -

Quote:...Wut?Oh, yeah, and Bane Spiders and Peacebringers still wish they were nearly as good as their EAT cousins.
*Watches his Triform PB romp around the map stomping stuff, while his gun-bane chews everything up in a hail of lead*
I'm still tempted to respec the gun-bane back to Mace, because it's incredibly nasty. PBs might not be as awesome as WSs, but that's because there's a lot of awesome to catch up with there -
Fair enough, watching the views rise but the tumbleweeds still rolling was a little "Saywha?"
And yeah, ech, being in the UK, pounds is obviously my prefered currency, and having prices in fives seems like a nice, even way of doing things...
Silly Euro and Dollars....we should have kept conquering, darnit!
Problem is, I'm going to run into whacky numbers either way. If I put stuff up in Dollars, then the Euro and Pound numbers are, well, decimal. And the same putting them in Euros.
Gaah. Will have to see what I can do...So, yeah, will put up a dA link when I have something to work with >_< -
There certainly *seems* to be less free stuff. That may just be perception, though.
I DO get increasingly sick of bloody-stupid unlocks for costume stuff. Like iTrials, or the 'Only in Super Packs' costume stuff. It's like certain stuff isn't quite drawing the numbers the bean counters want it to, so other people who don't do the stuff (Trials, for instance) have to jump through the hoops to get the numbers up, with the 'carrot' being the stuff they might be interested in (costume parts, for instance).
So...meh. Iunno. -

I'm...more certain that not (don't ask me to make numbers, please no!) that this would 'only' require swapping Fire for Heat in the UI and suchnot. I guess only labelling some as 'Heat' and leaving stuff like Fire Blast as 'Fire' would get confusing, if they were different names for the same thing.
But, yeah, Water Blast doing 'Fire' damage seems...Iunno, a tad silly -
Quote:Way more survivable with equal or near-as-damnit damage? Yeah, Blasters are pretty far from being 'Kings/Queens of all things Damage' these days. Which is a shame, because I like some of the powers. Are you aware that Dominators have a higher melee damage modifier than Blasters? Are you aware that several melee combos can outdamage even the best blaster combos?
Blasters are supposed to be all about damage. It just so happens that alot of other ATs happen to be better at it than them. -
Time to finally set up shop.
...Again.
So, yeah, I'm back and finally have the time to do more drawing.
Which means commissions are being opened. Hallelujah!

The what now?
Oh, right, one of the old, boring things that I never play on account of the high levels of old-school variety Dull and Suck. Yes, hmm.
Wonder when the Devs will realise that you need Revamp as well, especially these days... -
There is no 'Water Damage'. Water Damage does not exist.
Water attacks use COLD damage. So, YES, they can put out fires. -

Quote:So, how is that anyone else's fault? How about ruining my enjoyment of my RL life wallet, having to fork out for X number of packs instead of the one sum for the costume parts, i.e. THE ONLY THING I WANT OUT OF THE PACK.It undermines my enjoyment of the 'mini game', so to speak.
Similarly, I find my interest in farming has evaporated since they started selling IO sets via the store.
Objectively it's still an efficient activity, but my interest has been fatally undermined.
I don't want a store option period, but a store option with an appropriately high pricetag would at least not enrage me.
The difference is between having me actively angry about the decision and having me roll my eyes at the whiners once again getting their way and henceforth ignoring the entire system.
So, y'know, YMMV and all that... -
Given we have scimitars and flying carpets already, the above sounds decent to me at least.

Personally? I'd pick the colours you want for each area and then take them to the darkest, darkest tone you want. I mean DARK tones. Make that your base layer, and then highlight up from that using the light source. Looking at the previous Positron pic, what really struck me was the lack of contrast; there was lots of light and very little dark/shadow. It made it all look a bit flat.
Don't be afraid of dark and shadow, they help make an image step out of the page/screen. -

I dare anyone to try taking a drink for every new dug thread.
Actually, that would probably see you wind up in Hospital... -
Quote:Hah, I wasn't the only one then...I have what feels like a simple request - can we please have a collection of all or at least most hats enabled for Full Helmet -> Detail 1? You know, where the head fins are? The hats would obviously not come with hair, but come on, now - wouldn't it be cool to have a suit of power around with a cowboy hat or a robot with a top hat? And no, you can't really "fake" that because most hats always come with hair on the outside of any Robotic face you pick.
I have a self-serving reason to ask for this, of course. My own Nathanel was supposed to have a Colonen Kroenen look to him, but that's impossible to do since the military hat always has to have hair with it.
And yeah, forget the hair, how about 'no military jackets and trench coats'?
Anyway, new request. I was wondering why I was finding it so hard to make new Male characters.
The answer was really damn simple; The overwhelming majority of Male faces and hair are terrible. Nearly all the old faces and hair are so eye-bendingly bad....It just....ugh. The hair! My use tends to be limited to 'Fury' and 'Barbarian' and that's about it, because....I mean, seriously, google 'Male Hairstyles', and then see if there are any DECENT representations in game.
There are way too many hairstyles that have low poly counts and low textures. I mean, 'Dreadlocks'. What the....that...it....what the hell is that even trying to be? It looks like something that got dragged through a thorn hedge, backwards.
Dink, please please please PLEASE add some new faces and hairstyles, rescue us (me) with your skills, ones I only wish the crew at Issue 0 had had -_- -
Quote:Yeah, sure....ONE TF, maybe. But ALL the FP TFs, some of which are still incredibly dull, time-consuming and, hm....not fun?I'm a big fan of TF's that give you a stupid hat. You can't go wrong with a TF that gives you exp., badges, merits AND a stupid hat!
(Someone once said my ITF-gained Roman helmet with the feathers going side-to-side looked like I had a push broom on my head. It's pure win, I tell you!)
No. That's stupid reasoning. Oh, and Villains can't get them AT ALL unless they side switch. Which is, oh look, time consuming and a faff. For one costume piece.
Hell, stick them on the damn store, since I see that as a more likely outcome. I would honestly pay cash for the convenience of NOT having to do those frelling TFs for one piece that I would like to use without massive faff...
