  1. I surmise that they changed the handle length, and where you hold it is moved down, to avoid the axe part "cutting your shoulder off" when you attack.

    Axe animations have had this problem....forever. War mace shares the axe animations, so it has the same issue.

    Call it a "stealth fix".

    They may have also done this to be able to port it to Titan Weapons, later if not already.

    I didn't think anybody outside the US used that dumb system(I believe it was only the US that did it, last I heard) because we in the US hate it(at least in March when we lose sleep) and it isn't even useful anymore since we're no longer limited to working daylight hours like 150 years ago.

    No, you do not get disconnected in mission.
    The servers all died for a little while.

    Your first hint that it was not "normal inactivity logout" should have been the fact that he could not login on most characters or servers.

    I don't like screen clutter either, which is why I continually try to find a better arrangement, at least every couple months.

    I just need to be fully informed of the necessities, and, with a game with as many debuffs and chat channels and powers to monitor as this has, there are too many things that are, bare minimum, necessary to watch.

    We really need even MORE customization of the UI.
    1) We need to be able to individually resize UI windows.

    Next to poor performance, the worst thing for any game is a bad user interface/controls. And, this game has the worst UI I have ever seen in a launched game, aside from non-functioning ones.
  5. Release the Arachnos Prisoners from Lt. Harris leads to an empty area.
    The Arachnos Prisoners, and presumably their captors, do not spawn there, and there is no door to enter.

    The mission tab also does not have the information for this specific mission in the short series in it, as if the quest hasn't really advanced to this point even though it is directing me to it.

    I bet many people are looking at the announcement board and not finding it. I had to search through my old bookmark of the community digest.
  10. It seems the forums now think I am a VIP.
    I have seen this bug for a single page randomly about every day I check the forums, but now it is every page I visit here. I'm stuck with an orange name and supposedly full privileges.

    ....unless this is an intentional reward for something that I know not what.

    I think the DBserver croaked again.

    I originally saw Pinnacle greyed out and had to force the client to shut because my server wouldn't let me login.
    I logged in again and clicked my server again, noticing 2 different servers were grey and Freedom was down to green instead of the yellow it was before.
    The client told me "unable to connect to login server".


    WHEEEEEEE!

    I believe somebody forgot to feed the server hamsters for too long.
    Either that or, somebody tripped over a cord, unplugging it, or GREMLINS!!! :O Keep them away from water!! (...or was it spray them with water?)

    The first and foremost priority of every game developer should be smooth performance and great usability, with no bugs in those(that may be hard but it needs to be strived for).

    Sadly, many game developers, the ones who made this included, did not, and possibly currently do not, have that as their first and foremost priority.
    That is why we have bad bugs and games that continually are lacking in performance compared to even older games with better graphics.


    It is what it is, but we still work to make it as good as we can, in our own ways.

    You have to defeat a resistance leader and a syndicate leader.


    FYI, sometimes enemies spawn outside the map, walk through walls, walk through the mission door running away or generally just bug out.
    You use the report function to ask for general assistance from a GM if you are VIP. They will solve the issue or complete it for you.

    With the way this game is coded? I would not be surprised.

    Perhaps, the game may load up the global handles in order, until it finds the right one to display, every time you check it. Maybe if it does that, it loses the packet that tells it "next global" and so shows an old one.


    Or maybe, this is just one really really strange bug that is much more strange and super rare.
    I don't know.
  17. These are all pertaining to the male boots option "flat".

    1) The "flat" option is missing the sub-option "tights sleek".(edit: apparently this pattern is missing from every instance of "flat" boots)
    It has been missing for a long time, making a full suit of "tights sleek" impossible for male characters.

    2) The male lower body heading "tucked in", with boots option "flat", is using the old "metallic tights" texture that is not shiny at all. It is just the old pattern before issue 17.




    Maybe I should start a "T's Bug Hunting Expeditions" thread for all the bugs I have been finding without even trying lately.

    I'm guessing that the game keeps track of every past global handle an account has ever had in order to accurately track global friend status with even players who haven't logged in for years.

    It's a typical result of lag. It just had the computer equivalent of a "brain fart".

    Now, it could lag less and be less dependent on the server running things(more client based) to make these issues a LOT less common, but that's something that needs to eb solved at the very beginning of designing a new game.

    Stand in that spot(facing north is best) and your aura will flicker.

    I believe this is caused by an invisible object that characters end up standing inside of. Some graphical object is trying to take precedence over the auras there, like when viewing another character through a stealthed character and the auras(even from power) disappear.

    Wrong.

    There are "Crushing Impact" and other uncommon IO sets on the store. They say NOTHING about being "attuned".
    (Edit: They only say that they scale with your character. They do not say that they don't require an IO license or the word "attuned" or phrase "account bound".)


    There are special attuned sets now, that you can get through Super Packs and can only slot one per character for the archetype they are made for. Well, they are only attuned once you use an "enhancement catalyst" on them(I think).




    Either way, if the IO sets, such as "Crushing Impact", are "attuned and usable by any character" then they should point that out.
    It's another example of very poor documentation and hard to find info.

    1) I don't think any resistance is anywhere near the cap except for knockback or special cases like the above Arachnos Soldier.
    Knockback protection is usually provided at the same time though so that the resistance doesn't come into play.

    2) I'm not sure about PVP numbers, but I don't suppose those would be 10000% as that would make mez powers even more useless after their durations were nerfed to 4 seconds without faster recharges.

    3) I know "protection" is not a numerical cap, but the "ultimate mez resistance" is one that prevents mez, thus "protection".

    Only the Archetype Origin enhancements(or whatever the specific set for each archetype is called) can be used without an invention license.

    The other IO sets, though they can be purchased, can't be used without an IO license.(as far as I know)
    (They really need to work out a system to prevent people from making poorly informed purchases, especially when they have poor documentation.)


    SOs are more than good enough.
    Plus, you can use HOs while premium still, and these have always been good.
  25. Read this carefully:

    Does it say "0/2 global" at the top of the server character select screen you used?

    Or, does it say "0/2 server" at the top of the same screen?

    Or, does it say "2/2 server" at the top?


    1) The "0/2" stuff actually means you have 2 slots but you haven't placed them yet.
    (Edit: I think it works this way. I haven't had any global slots to spend for quite some time. The server slots definitely work this way, recording only the ones filled by characters as "used".)

    2) As soon as you use a global slot on a server, it is locked to that server forever.

    3) As soon as you make a character using a slot, it is locked to that character until the character is deleted, BUT does not travel with the character in a server transfer(this sucks) so that you need to buy a slot on the new server to move the character.




    I wish they would make this all simpler to understand and more obvious, especially the "slots are locked once used and won't transfer" part.
