You single slotted Ice Blast and put a Decimation set in Fossilize. Some folks slot the single target hold only for damage, but I prefer a mix of control and damage, even if that costs me some damage -- the ST Hold is essential for setting Containment and stacking the hold may be important to hold bosses. I would put the Baz Gaze set back in Fossilize with an Acc/Dam Hami-O or as close as you can get, but you can get hami-Os by running the Miss Liberty TF (formerly Statesman TF) which I think is the WST next week, or at Hami-Raids, if you can't afford to buy them. Then I would move the procs out of Earthquake to add slots to Ice Blast, with a last slot from the Chance for Hold proc out of Lightning Storm. That would let you put 5 Decimations in Ice Blast. The overall benefit would be fewer procs but much better single target damage, and a longer ST Hold, plus an extra 7.5% Global Recharge.
Gale: I rarely use it, but it has a 10% Accuracy penalty. I'm not sure why you would want to enhance its knockback. I would change that to a common Accuracy. Even with that, it misses too often.
Super Speed: No need for the Stealth IO, since Steamy Mist+Super Speed = full invisibility. I would replace that Stealth IO (which is expensive) with a common EndRdx IO (cheap). -

Your build looks great, Local_Man. If I had the funds, I would do as you have. I followed your advice and spent a few hours analyzing my build, trying to make it similar to yours and finding alternatives for the purple sets. I managed to add the purple procs in, seeing as how they seem very useful, and cheaper than getting the entire set. I had to shift a few slots around, and some powers have somewhat horrible IO sets because my original sets exceeded the bonus caps. I went with /Ice as the Ancilliary, and decided to go more towards a S/L cap instead of ranged. I tried to add as many procs as I could to each attack, and managed to get perma Hasten with the help of Agility. I slotted for Endred whenever I could, and this is what I managed to get. Edit: I removed the slot in Stamina and slotted it in Maneuvers, and replaced the LotG Def+ with End/Rch and Def/End/Rch.

Your endurance will depend on your attack chain. If you just use random attacks now and then, it should be enough. But if you're following a DPS chain, you might want to consider slotting for more endurance on your toggles, provided it doesn't cause significant decrease of your defense.

I decided to give this Pylon killing test a try for myself for the first time.
I did this on live with my StJ/Nin Stalker. T4 Musculature Radial and T3 Reactive Total Radial. No inspirations or Destiny.
5:08 = 252 DPS
Used the chain [BU->AS->CU]->SB->HB->IS->SC->SB->AS->CU. Managed to use BU every 3 CU's before SB->AS->CU. Pylon knocked me back twice, and missed a lot of attacks. There is a slight delay in the AS->CU transition as well.
Can anyone tell me what is the KB magnitude of the Pylon's attack? -
Just want to know if I should slot for a decent amount of resistance or for more endurance management...

I would help if you explain some about your playstyle: Solo or team, or mixed? Are your teams mostly PUGs or do you have a regular group you run with that has a certain make-up? Do you stay back out of melee, get near melee or into melee?

If you're new to Stalkers and just want defense so you can focus on your attacks, Super Reflexes is the way to go. Can easily softcap your positional defenses and has amazing Defense Debuff Resistance. Very easy to play and won't stress you out.
However, /Nin has good damage mitigation, though it lacks the defense safety that /SR has. Caltrops is really, really good to keep them off you, and Blinding Powder is pretty sweet.
If you want to just enjoy without worry, go with /SR. If you want a bit of a challenge, go /Nin. -
Finally decided to roll a DB Stalker, seeing as how it's almost the perfect assassin's primary thematically. I've brought him to positional softcap, but I feel like I'd want to have Tough slotted and toggled for a little more survivability, though it seems to cost more endurance. Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks!

Hey guys, first time building a controller, and reading Local_Man's guides, I decided to roll with this combo. I was thinking about ranged defense, but I'm not so sure. Any changes you guys would suggest? I would like to be one purple away from softcapped range defense if possible, but isn't necessary so long as I can lock my enemies down without getting touched.

Grab Ageless Radial at Incarnate content to cover up the DDR hole, but really utilize all the powers at your disposal as a /Nin Stalker. (Except for Smoke Bomb, skip that until they make it an auto-hit with a long recharge).

Beam Rifle is probably the most range-oriented Blaster set. Energy will do well for you, maybe even Devices come I24.

I've noticed today on my MM that he only has and had 1 Force Field from the Protector Bots instead of 2. Aren't both of them supposed to cast it once on everyone? How long is the recharge for that power?

Alright, I noticed something today with my StJ/Nin Stalker. I have that -res proc slotted into Sweeping Cross, and when it goes into effect, it shows a resistance boost aura on the enemy. I thought it might have been a mix up, but using another attack with the Achilles Heel proc slotted, it shows the proper resistance lowered aura.
Is the Fury of the Gladiator proc bugged somehow, or am I seeing things correctly? Can anyone confirm this? -
