I list recipes/enhancements for 2/3 what I would pay for them if there are none for sale and no one bidding.
If none for sale and many bidding I list them for what I would pay for them.
If many for sale and no one bidding I vendor the recipe.
Salvage I just throw in after I hit the SG buff station. -
Are Ouro "TFs" like Twilight Son's and Mender (fill in the blank) considered TFs for rate or arcs since we can solo them?
-
I agree. I saw the movie years before I saw the series and then watched the movie again after watching the series and it made the movie even better.

Quote:That would be very nice. The problem with simply having the number labeled on a mouseover is that, because +rech and -rech debuffs are rather common, the number wouldn't really mean much. I would much rather have the icons display in a more obvious manner how much of their recharge time remains (circle filling vertically or clockwise) rather than the rather abstract icons that we've got now (as far as I can tell, they consider going from the small dot to the full circle to be a full iteration of the base recharge, so that if you're enhanced for 100% +rech, it starts you at halfway, which doesn't really tell you much when you want to figure out how much time you have remaining until you get it back).

I propose renaming all 3 to cred (or street credibility for a longer term).
But since they merged them I don't much care what it is called. -

Quote:It took me 3 hours to get my 5 last night on one character. On the next it took 20 minutes to get the first 3 and I got the other 2 while doing those tip missions.Well, I've been doing that for a while now. Is it normal for it to go this long?
Random drop generator is random. -
Quote:I suppose but apart from purples and PvPs I don't see that kind of spike happening and those people are toast anyway if a person has enough characters ready to grab or a group of marketeers go to work.I would guess (keyword) to prevent flooding the market for some big quick inf gain. For example, a particular rare IO recipe has 1000 bidding, but 1 for sale, sale history of 500 mill+ for all last sales. If you could buy a bunch of those, you could drop them on the market in an off hour and get all the highest bidders or don't give a chance for people to change their bids to a lower price.
Yes, pure speculation here.
Maybe it's one of those "I don't have a lot of a-merits to do that so why should you be able to do it" attitudes. -
Quote:I agree. You can only make one purchase with your Alignment Merits every 20 hours. I was gonna roll all three I had for recipes but it only let me do one and told me you can only do one purchase every 20 hours. Lame.
We've never been blocked from spending rewards before, only earning them. I cannot fathom what the reasoning for this move is. -

A debate on the beta forums over the timers on tips/alignment points showed that some people want people faster than them throttled.
So I think the timers are understandable when you realize it is there to "penalize" the good players. They want to handicap us to feel better even though it actually hurts them more. We pointed out we would just hop characters to deal with the timers while they, in their casual play, will be blocking themselves on the weekends when they can play in large chunks.
A pretty small minority of "casual" players got this point and hated the timers.
I view the majority attitude as: "If I cannot get it all, I don't want you to get it all even if it would help me." -
Comment on merged market with history wipe:
It is dang hard to price off-level rare items with no history at all.
My scrapper seems to be a pool C off-level bosses magnet but at levels 41-44 for this week it has been a pricing conundrum for me.
I accept this "chore" with the glee only a merged market could bring me. -

The weekend is coming. News doesn't get any better than that, does it?

Quote:Baumtown is the official name and Boomtown is the nickname. Same for the other 3.Been gone a while. Went to Wal-Mart and bought Going Rogue Complete Collection. And checking the Map, I noticed something wierd:
Baumtown (I assume this is a misspelling for "Boom Town"?)
Overbrook?
Venice?
Woodvale?
Are those new areas being added to CoH? Or are they just misprints?
Sorry for the confusing questions.. And I hate to sound like a new player after 3 years, but that is kind of a confusing little map in the Going Rogue Complete Collection Box. -
Quote:I hope it is the result of a deliberate effort by Black Pebble/marketing.Is Paragon Studios and Zam.com forming some mutual interest society? Between the City of Heroes laptop give-away, the interview with free jetpack codes and now being asked to check out some review, that's more interest than Zam.com has shown in CoX than the previous six years combined.
I'm wondering if this is some new era in game site outreach and advertising. -
Quote:Also very happy.Agreed with your post. I'm almost tempted to turn off gaining Exp so that I can stay in Praetoria for as long as possible.
This has completely refreshed that "I haven't injected City of Heroes into my veins in a whole 30 minutes" feeling I... actually never had.
So happy with Going Rogue. Incredible.
I'm not going to turn off exp. I am going to run 8 characters through it, four pairs, with one pair at a time so I can make different choices to see what happens next.
I am feeling somewhat overwhelmed with my choices since all my over 20 characters really ought to reinforce hero/villain or start switching. -
Quote:Yeah, you're smarter than us not looking things up and reading them. We're the ignorant ones. Check. Now that's funny. Anything in the game is content, friend.
As to the rest of you, you act like I insulted a family member. And most of you clearly are not getting what I'm saying, so it's clear ignorance is strong among you.
I apologize for posting something that is above your intellectual levels. -
Just a point: there is more to Going Rogue than Praetoria.
-
Quote:I don't know about most people but the devs certainly put in roadblocks for Praetoria regarding social vs RP. One of the biggies is no Primals in Praetoria. WarWitch's own comment on the matter was this was to preserve the immersion of Praetoria.I can understand your opinion, but I disagree - I would always prioritize a seamless social experience over a consistent RP experience. I don't have any data, but my sense is that most players do not RP, and definitely not to the extent that they would feel the urge to engage in PvP because the mission owner made a choice they disagreed with. I'm guessing most people just want to play through the content casually with their friends.
Now I could be wrong about that, and it might be the case that most people care about a consistent RP experience. I'd be very surprised, though, based on the sample of people I encounter while playing. I think it's a much bigger deal to prevent a group from playing through an entire arc than it would be to force the team to play a mission according to the owner's choices.
So RP matters to the powers that be. -
LOL
So they should have named the island 'Rick Astley'? -
I certainly don't want you knowing where my secret volcano lair is.
Serious: I don't understand why they think people would like this as a default. -
Are you kidding? This is nothing compared to a couple threads in the Going Rogue and Player Questions sections.
