You don't make any sense. Those 10 people know more about PvP than the rest of CoH's community combined. If the info is "stale", blame the game. They tell it like it is.

If someone wants advice on making his AR/ice blaster good in PvP, he'll be told to reroll. Because no matter what he does, that toon will suck at PvP. That's not mis-education. That's telling the truth. If he doesn't like it, that's just too bad.

If a professional F1 driver tells me that a Ferrari will beat my Geo Metro in a race, I'm not going to criticize him for being "close minded" or unwilling to accept that maybe I'm just a really amazing Geo Metro driver. Because I know he's right. No matter what I do to the car, it will never be a Ferrari. But with your logic, I supposed you'd argue with him, saying his info is "stale" and he's just saying the same stuff that others have said. Great...go ahead and keep believing that your Geo Metro is the best car in the world.

I think pretty much 100% of the time, if someone has a serious question, it gets answered.

Yeah, we get the same people talking trash to each other in each thread. But you learn to ignore it eventually. Calling each other bad is just part of PvP.

    Claw/WP

Actually the issue is webs+shuriken vs LBE. With webs, you do still get a ranged attack. It's not as good as LBE, but together with webs I think they're better.

Yeah it was either cold or force before. Force had PFF and FoN. PFF was nerfed hardcore, and FoN was made flat out 100% worthless. You get zero resist from it because you're already at the cap with shield + PvP res.

    So that leaves cold.

Nobody takes medicine. Since break frees are useless, you can carry a whole tray of greens. Plus of you really get in trouble, you have hibernate.
  8. IW provides complete immunity to KB, just like all melee set mez protections that have KB protection (except those that are bugged like night widow's IW).

Elec/MM is the hero version of an elec/therm corr. Granted it's because of a bugged power, but hey...that's the same reason Psy is #1.

Wow, is this a new year's resolution or something? Either way, good post. Thank you. And if you maintain this attitude and would like to learn and get better, I'm sure many would be willing to help.

    Stalkers get AS and BU.

    I have a claws/regen scrapper, and it's a joke now.

    Best Trash Talk

lol super deveron. My friend said he got to talking to him one time, and it turned out he knew absolutely nothing about the game. Like he literally sounded like someone that's never played any single thing besides that one tank. It was kinda funny for how cocky he was on the tank.

Just because they're too lazy to do something doesn't mean it's not a bug. The NPC's are not working in line with the current mez system. This is clear, and obviously not intended. They may be too dumb to figure out how to change it, but that doesn't mean it's ok.

They're too dumb to fix placate for like 5 years too. But we can all admit that's a bug, right?
  15. Not only are they annoying, they're actually bugged too.

It took the devs like a year to fix one bug, where NPC's could mez you for like a minute straight. But they still haven't fixed the other: NPC mezzes have no suppression at all.

So if they keep hitting you with mezzes, you can be perma mezzed. I've had times where I got mezzed like 6 or 7 times in a row, not able to move at all the entire time. As soon as one expired, I'd be hit with another one. It's simply absurd how broken they are, and I'm 99% sure the devs have no idea the bug even exists.

You're doing something wrong. My regen is unkillable as long as I have DP up. It's only real weakness is no in-set perception.

Freedom RV is the best PvP'ers in the game. If they don't know what they're doing, and that's the reason regen does well, fine. That means it'll be fine anywhere else too.

  18. For blaster, definitely cold. It's so much better than all the others, it's not even comparable.

For corr, you want either the one with hibernate or the one with webs/power boost, depending on your playstyle.

You couldn't respec vil epic pools before, but now you can...as many times as you want.

    Yes it's good. End thread.
  20. The placate proc is supposed to be a proc that works like 20% of the time or something. Instead it's completely broken, and works 100% of the time. So any time you use a sleep power, you placate your target.

There's definitely less team players around. First of all, team players are usually good players, and there's just not that many of those around anymore. And second, even the good players tend to put their own build ahead of buffing others. There's only a handful of good truly dedicated buffers left on Freedom, from what I see.

Melee has always been easy because it's so survivable. Now they just do more damage too. Like I said, a SS tank can do blaster level burst damage....without using a single melee attack.
  21. There's no such thing as control anymore. Play your dom just like a blaster.

Well that's different because you can control your own camera. Watching a video, you're at the mercy of the person who recorded it, and Castle (or whoever said it) was right.....it just looks like 16 people jumping around, and occasionally someone dies. lol

From years of spamming impale, I've learned to do it well. By the time I'm animating the shark, I tend to be out of range of my target, so I'm usually back in hide before they or their teammates can attack me back. It does require extra time to kill someone, because I have to jump back and forth, but it's a lot safer than trowing a shark from directly next to someone.
