    Blaster changes?

Like con said, if you don't take scare and DP, you have no reason playing a /MM blaster. I haven't played one, but I doubt tactics makes a huge difference with fear. Scare will still help a lot. Blasters don't need much time to get kills, and when your opponent is sitting there unable to take any action, even if it's for like 3 seconds, it can be a big deal.
  3. haha sweet. now I'll be famous from being in your sig. win/win situation here!
  4. Robo is correct!

But if you absolutely want to play that toon and make sure you end up hating PvP in this game, you'll definitely want leadership instead of fighting. You're regen, the most survivable set in the game. You don't need more survivability. And without BU, you'll need all the help you can get with both tohit (tactics) and damage (assault).

Also, body mastery is pointless unless you take laser beam eyes. It's a better attack than your entire primary. Again, yes, claws is that bad. And no, there is no logical reason for it.

While I kind of agree in general, my experience is different. Most people I see doing it do it for no reason other than to piss people off....or simple because they are really bad CoH players.

When sides become even, they still stay at their drones, desperatly hoping to drone anyone that comes close enough. I've seen people actually sit there at the drones for HOURS, droning someone maybe once every half hour (and probably patting themselves on the back)....while there's active PvP going on like 500 yards away.

Kannibaul comes to mind lol. And if you see him play, it makes perfect sense why he drones.
  6. I would honestly reroll. I have a claws/regen. I used to do well with it before I13, even though claws sucked then too. But after I13 it was turned into an absolute joke. If you can kill anything on a claws scrapper, they must have been AFK. Yes, it's that bad.

The weakest attacks of any scrapper set....combined with no BU. Yeah, I'd make a new toon.
  7. lol!

Btw, Mass Effect 2 owns you all.

I disagree. I wasn't talking about graphics anyway. I still play games from the '80s. And I still think UT from 1999 is the best FPS ever made.

By atrocious I meant the actual gameplay and the story. I played Tribes 1 and 2, and Vengeance just doesn't compare from what I saw. Which is why nobody played it, even back in 2004.
  9. Basically there's no such thing as "most active" anymore. There's a server that actually has PvP at all...that's Freedom. And then there are all the other servers, where PvP is completely dead.

    Defender TK

Do breaks frees still break the repel effect? If so, I don't see why it would be banned from competition.

And even if it doesn't, why is it a big deal? There are very easy ways to get out of TK's repel. Unless you were stuck in some small room, it was never an issue before, so why can nobody deal with it now?

    Blaster changes?

Not that much has changed since I13, except defense being mostly useless again. So you'll definitely want /cold instead of /force.

Speaking of which, I just got Tribes Vengeance....never got around to playing it around 2004 and kind of forgot about it until now. And now that I got it I can say....wow, what a horrible game. The single player is atrocious. From the great reviews, I figured it would at least be half decent

Tribes is actually one of the best examples of I13 type changes, as is Unreal Tournament. It seems that's the trend of the last decade....make hard games easy, so every noob can do well, and the company can make more money with more sales. Too bad for those of us that are actually good at games.

Tribes 1 required an insane amount of skill. Tribes 2 was made easier, and the vast majority of the hardcore community hated it, because of that. Tribes Vengeance was made even easier, and a total of like 9 serious Tribes players even bothered playing it.

UT 1999 required tons of skill. So UT2k3 and the following sequels made it easier and easier....and of course, the vast majority of the hardcore players despised them.

And then we get to CoH....PvP took skill, and then skill was taken away and we got I13 instead.

Hell, now that I think about it, I13 wasn't unexpected. It's what every game developer is doing these days, it seems. Make the game easy enough for retarded monkeys to play, and you'll make more money, because you won't be ruling out any retarded monkeys that may buy the game.

    I r so smart!

Umm, no. Have you tried PvP since issue 13? There is so much suppression, nobody maintains any momentum ever.
  14. Rei, I do know how to write it in Russian. No matter how you write it with English letters, it will be wrong, because it's English letters. But the pronunciation is closer to Sabaka.

But if it makes you happy....СОБАКА!

  18. lol robo. Well, I'm just talking from personal experience. Ime, all a TA can do is spam autohit glue and run to drones or fly to the top of the zone...until glue is recharged. Don't think I've died to a TA a single time since it was put in the game.

Chances are, as an emp you'll want phase anyway, so it makes more sense to just go with stealth+stealth IO, even with Illusion. SI is also a huge end hog, and it really has no advantage over stealth+stealth IO. Unsuppressing in half the time is pretty meaningless.

  21. It gets even funnier when you realize that the actual placate power has been broken for about FIVE years.
  22. Hehe. Well, I guess we'll see if they learned ANYTHING from their mistakes when GR comes out.
  23. TA is only really good for disruption on teams. By itself, a TA shouldn't be able to kill any competent player.

If you want something with the ability to kill, try /therm or /cold.
