Quote:I'm also thinking it maybe a somewhat medium to slow set with the finishers making up for DPS in the form of raw extreme-superior damage.I was thinking the same thing. It seems like the entire combo system for street justice is vastly superior to the DB combo system. Whether or not the attacks are as effective, or more effective, has yet to be seen.
It may actually work like Power Siphon from Kinetic Melee with a bit of a twist (since there's talk about it applying all levels of builders - 3 Max - upon execution). I think it's going to be a buff on self first while the debuffs to mobs merely make them more susceptible to the next. -
Can we get Posi or some dev to straiten then out because that sounds a bit counter productive as well as confusing. A lot of people are saying that it will be available on patch-day just cost money if you want to get it immediately. TW was the only set thus far to be completely unavailable from Freedom and released later - which is why it wasn't necessarily shown yet while BR and STJ were available for selection.
-
I'd even settle for KM's AS animation (HADOYADOKEN!!!!)
-
Quote:Yeah, Titan Weapons is the set we will not see for a while after. STJ and MeanBeam will be available but depending on how they adjust prices, you may have to wait another month before you can purchase it for free. Otherwise on Day 1 you can purchase with the use of real money to buy STJ and BGgreat... now I can't find it... if it even exists.
It's totally possible that I'm making that up, long nights scrolling through page after page of different forums and all that. So until evidence is found:
BR and StJ will be released with i21.

I don't see why this keeps getting brought up. AS is the only solid mechanic in the game that operates 100% as intended. You're hidden and that's your backstab, if killorder is what you yearn for than using AS mid fight is not the brightest idea.
I could agree, give it more damage. I'd also say make it when out of Hide that it becomes an instant attack - without the chargeup.
Rather have AS for the stalker than the scrapper mindset: "I'm a claymore, just point me in the right direction." -

Just got back and I actually enjoyed it. Well done on that one directors, sad part is now they gotta reboot F4 if they ever plan to continue because Evans was a good choice. Of course it wasn't perfect (no pun intended), it was in a sense predictable and less believable. Kid would throw himself down on the grenade?
I was skeptical at first with some of the actors chosen but I do admit that Jones was a good pick. Weaving as well, didn't expect him to pull off the Red Skull but he sure enough did. -
Reactives problem is it doesn't stack, least last I heard. The DoT is neat and gives procs to those who are unfortunate to be too poor to afford purp-sets but otherwise I went to it primarily for the res debuff and Masculature.
-
Whose to say we wont get another double xp-bonus when I21 goes live?
-
Have it with my Broadsword and there were times where it annoywed the crap out of me. Mainly because you really do lack for defenses so powerful mobs will chew right through your Strength of Will like it's tissue paper. Grant it, I never tried to tank AVs with Elec or anything else - did it with SR and can do just fine save for that random hit that can pack quite a punch.
The Self heal is a good utility to have and when specced out can essentially give you a second life.
KM's inherent bonus of course is debuffing enemy damage however so even if you get hit, pop off enough hits and their damage may falter allowing you to tough it out much easier. Personally I didn't like it but again, I was using Broadsword so it could of been the slowness of the primary that got me offed so easily. -
Quote:I myself want to see Assassin's Strike (STJ) made into a finisher click-power while not hidden and look like:If Overcharge doesn't look like this:

I will be disappointed.

HADOYADOKEN!
Plus the AoE attack into a Finisher could look like that whirlwind kick. Though having too animations for Finishers (one triggered without procs and the second animation much more visceral under x3) is likely bogus and not going to happen
Quote:well you can be pissed preemptively. We've already been told it won't come until a little later.
Uhhh, where do they say that about STJ? I thought what they said was it'll be available in the store from the get go but you wont have enough PP until the second month to afford it where as you can spend money up front to purchase the power. -
It says you start with up to 29 but it could mean that it's not counting the rewards you've earned therefore by default you get 29. You just wont find out how many you truly get until you log in on day one and get your total.
That could be taken both ways. It could mean that NCSoft has officially got back enough money in revenue to pay the cost that went to developing the game. I wouldn't really say it's due to a lack of players playing per capita - not unless they plan to shut everything down a year from now. -
If their survival remains the same they need (as far as PVE is concerned) higher base accuracy and tohit capability.
-
Until they add tags to VIP like (Roleplay Server) it's just another server, one not everyone can get into and exclusive. Has a nice ring to it for min/maxers but at the same time, you'll get those folks in any server. Populations might start to balance, I wouldn't ridicule a group of RPers trying to make the trip in the least.
-
Not to mention mobs do fight back. For example, Rom can easily 1-2 shot you as a stalker - so survival does factor.
-
Where's the demos for STJ?!
-
I rather play it by ear. If enough friends move over, I might consider moving one or two over and then starting up new characters as well.
Otherwise, rather than seeing an exodus to a new server - I'd rather see an exodus to 55 on Virtue! -
Quote:That's how it should be as far as fighting games are concerned.Right now I'm a bit worried that the DPS of SJ is going to be completely dependent on the big burst damage provided by the finisher- with most attacks will only doing approximately same damage as a rageless SS tanker, thus leading to a low overall DPS.
FDC C-C-C-COMBO into ULTRA!
Then you just wined up a x2 Finisher instead of X3. Where as in DB, yes - finding that one right animated attack was crucial if you wanted to save the chain. -
Speaking of which does it have some special crit chance like Eagle's Claw. Of course the ideal 100% crit on success is just a dream but I do find it triggering quite a long - making canon runs in Lamda on my KM/Nin quite entertaining.
-
It's always meant as an opening not to execute mid chain.
That being said, AS should get a bonus as being a finisher where when out of hide it becomes an instant click without the charge up and deal excessive damage. Then they could look at other primaries and kind of change how AS works for those, hide/unhidden
It's bad I think of Akuma's DarkHadou Super from MVC3 xD
See I'd give all Finisher attacks a secondary animation for the flashiness and would be determined by the amount of builders stacked on the target. Which to me sounds like Kinetic Melee's Power Siphon for Scrap, Brutes, and Tanks. -
Quote:Kind of a bummer too, I thought it'd be like Parry or Divine Avalanche and it should... but it's not.Just went in game and tried, it IS NOT possible. It SHOULD be, but it's not.
So out of curiosity, Eagle's Claw shouldn't be used in an attack chain because of the slow animation? -
Sounds more lenient anyways. If by missing an attack in DB, you lost your chain (much like Assassin's in GW) but SJ probably allows you to break mid chain and then get that link hooked up to deal the goods.

Eh that's relative heresy because my past experience would suggest nothing has changed. A lot of factors need to be taken into account and most of which we will never get our hands on. But a lot can determine what sort of hour of the day you play and who, across the world, you maybe encountering.

I thought the calculations put KM in the high when it came to DPS therefore it's animations being strongly misleading.
