I don't know if it's been said in here yet, but I got linked to this thread through tinyurl.com/allaboutincarnate the other day.
I was well aware of the thread beforehand; I just thought I'd mention it as it's a quick and funky way of getting here or linking people in-game. -
Quote:I have similar feelings on the whole thing. I actually lasted a good two and a half hours, but what killed my participation was my fourth crash (in combination with a bad mood anyway). Overall, I loved that the event happened over several zones, especially when it picked up and got fast. With suprisingly little lag, at that. The invasion itself was ok, i gave up after about an hour though since with no badge and no real reward it was just basically bashing. Im all for mayhem and carnage but a bit of a reward would have been nice, even it was just a shard/thread for every kill.
A reward would have been nice, but not bad for what it was. -

Quote:That was a fantastic laugh. Thank you.I love it!
The only thing similar to this I ever considered was making a hero character named Parking Meter so that during a Safeguard you'd get something like this.
Hellion Buckshot has defeated Parking Meter.
Parking Meter: No! My Brother! Prepare to be avenged!
Parking Meter has defeated Hellion Buckshot.
I also considered creating a character named Mah Authoritah so I could one day change all his powers around and then claim in Broadcast:
"I have respec'd Mah Authoritah!" -

Or a nice drawn one. Get Nakayama on it; stat! -
Welcome! I'm a fan of your work. Devastated Ouroboros stunned me when I first visited it.

Issue 16 for me. No question.
Power customisation was my number one want from the day I started playing, super-sidekicking and the new difficulty options changed the way we played, and I always love some good powerset proliferation.
Nice work, Paragon. Here's to hoping for more of the same. -
I'm by no means a Virtuite, and I didn't see this thread until it was too late.
But I love this thread. I would love to see Null the Gull make another appearance sitting in a nook in Port Oakes or somewhere. Love it, I tell you. -
Laughing while attempting to drink doesn't work so well. Somehow I managed to stay neat.
Also, I misread the banner as 'Praetorian Serge' the first time I saw it. I honestly didn't think he would be that much of a threat. -
I don't know if it's a good or bad thing that this thread excites me more than the i20 overview. That said, I love colour.
Changing title colour sounds awesome. Bring it on! -

This is great. Really. It's so much sooner than I expected.
But with the change being made in only a few days, what are the chances of that reactivation weekend that we were told about going ahead. My global is still being used up by an NA trial account I don't use. I would love to fix this before the change.
Edit: Glad to see the launch isn't happening as ninja-like as it seemed. Phew! -
Quote:It took every fibre of my English being not to choke to death on tea. Somehow I managed.Well bally ho, the servers are down wotwot, well stone the crows I'll be surprised that those devious devs appear to have made a kerfuffle on the timing of the maintenance of the servers I say good man.
The timing is poppycock as you would say.
But it does give me time for tea.
Which is just bully. -

Quote:This was several shades of epic. We even had one teammate who had seemingly given up and was frustrated and ready to leave. But we finished. We literally had enough time after finishing to get a couple of 'Woo!'s in before we got kicked. It was beautiful. On the other hand, we managed to seriously rush through a Moonfire in a slightly epic way and finish about a minute before the servers went. It was beautiful (but annoying that we had to).
The downtime, though. I'm pleased that it's apparently early for the benefit of EU folks. I'm unhappy that the warning was so short. -

Quote:You are aware the rest of the game still exists, right? The stuff that you liked is still here. The problem here is that you're grinding content you don't enjoy. Only you have the ability to fix it.See the problem is: why should I maintain a subscription t a game I don't enjoy to play anymore.
This was the game I play to avoid buying other games,
It doesn't meet that need anymore due to the "new game" being repeat the same 2 events over and over.
Gunna have to seriously consider my options at this point, as there isn't even another MMO to go to for at least a year. -
Quote:Clearly, we're on different planes here. I enjoy these new raids. But that said, I don't do them ten times a day. I'm not going to do content I don't want to do, and I'm certain that nobody will be 'demanding' that I do anything. Its not that I can't get a team
Its not that I cannot finish a trial (that bug was finally fixed).
I AM making progress...
Its just that I am bored out of my mind repeating the same two bits of content repeatedly.
I haven't even finished the first judgement slot on one character, and I am not having fun doing these trials anymore.
Am I alone in this?
I can't even bear to log into the game because I know all I will be demanded to do is incarnate content, which is just the two same tired boring trials.
I still play like I played before i20 hit: TFs, story arcs, alts, badges, etc. When I want a trial, I'll join one. Play your own game; don't let other players tell you what you're supposed to be doing. I'm doing it, and I'm having a blast. -
It would be lovely, I have to agree.
But this does sound like a suggestion or idea. One that's been done to death, at that. -

Quote:We did indeed! I was disappointed in the lack of imagination and willingness to experiment in most Unionites, but those that showed up were good teammates that had no trouble with instructions. We so went and did this (on Union), and it was cool cos we weeded out the impatient folks that couldn't be bothered traveling to Neutropolis and then waiting upwards of ... forty minutes or something (for the first who joined). Heck, it might even have been longer. But cool run and felt way more right to land at the actual facility afterwards than being flung back out into a pocket dimension. :P
Starting outside Lambda was wonderful, and was definitely worth doing. -
Quote:This hadn't occured to me. I would love to form up just outside where we were going to invade. That would be epic.We used Praetoria earlier tonight. That's three extra zones for you to fit your heroes and villains into.
Edit: 6 if you want to go in the tunnels, but that's even more out of the way than usual.
It's just a shame I'm unlikely to gather a band of thirteen others who agree with me rather than say 'lol u comin 2 pocket d???'. -
I loved that they did this, despite being under no obligation to. I enjoyed myself in there, and didn't even look at the servers until the stream had finished.
Cheers. -
Quote:Interface and destiny are the two I'm after. Lore isn't a priority for me. But interface comes first!Everybody is going on about interface and which to pick, but thats the only one i aint fussed with.
I will give it a try but for now, all my other slots/powers have way higher priority to make the trials as easy as possible.
Which interface you going for mate?
I'm going for Reactive interface as a means of pseudo +attack, as well as a form of damage (albeit small) that isn't lethal. For destiny I'm after barrier. Most of them look around equally decent to me; barrier just suits Storm best from a character perspective. -
