Quote:Great post, Stone Daemon!
I agree totally, Incarnate abilities can be easily explained through roleplay, assisted perhaps by blinking slowly at key moments during the power animations.
My main is a completely non-violent superhero. He has gotten to the Incarnate content through copious use of his Sleep attack, in addition to my own narcolepsy whenever I press the 'wrong key'. Ion Judgement is simply a "satellite mounted sleep power", and anyone lying on the ground merely lacks the rigor to sleep on his feet. Ion Judgement has a long activation time, sufficient to turn around 180 degrees. If he didn't see it, it didn't happen.
I'm also researching triffids, my gut tells me they could hold the key to roleplaying this guy. -

Quote:Open up your combat attributes, and look at your defense values. Melee/Ranged/AoE are your positionals. Smashing/Lethal/Etc are typed. Whatever you have highest (without factoring in bonus sets) is the type of defense your powerset majors in.(1) How do I identify whether a Powerset is Positional or Typed?
It would be inefficient if you built backwards, yes. It would greatly benefit you do download Mids' Hero Designer if you wanted to build more efficiently. And, while you're at it, perhaps check out the guide I have in my sig to building your characters. -
It might be more efficient to just have the team leader post his/her teams globals and/or roster, that way we don't have a bunch of individual people cluttering the thread. Admiral?

Intriguing slotting choices. I don't know if I could bring myself to use Grav Snare myself, but I like the use of procs and what you were able to fit into the build.
Like Abe said, it's somewhat daunting, commenting on your build.
Do you prefer this to your defense build? I've been considering respecing mine to lose some defense in exchange for a less anemic blue bar. -
With no Septipheran in sight...
We decided to pit the Warshades against the Peacebringers, in Posi #1. The warshades won by a mile.Oh, and it was AIB's birthday, so...
Next up, was Posi #2! We were able to merge the teams this time:
We had planned to do a Manticore after, but alas, people had to log and we couldn't meet the minimum. Next week we will make up for it! -
It might not be that useful to you, seeing as how you're a brute (and can't use IO's), but you may get some of your questions answered through my DM/fire/soul scrapper guide.
And trust me: Get Burn. -

They would specifically have to change how mind link works to stop membranes from helping that power. It's not a HO only benefit, as you can also boost it's recharge via IO sets such as LotG.

Quote:I wouldn't call it completely useless in PvE. Maybe not worth it, but not useless. I was able to solo an EB on my elec/sonic troller simply by walking up to it and draining it's endurance. Keeping it perma flatlined helped me kill it safely (at a glacial pace). It's a fun idea on paper, if not quite as useful as other tactics.IMO endurance drain in PvE is pretty much useless.
You get slightly better results with end drain and recovery debuffing. -
If you want to make a sapper, you probably have the wrong AT. While elec melee will drain some endurance...well, frankly the enemies will be dead long before their blue bar goes down.

Done, and added more info to the initial post for newcomers.
I'm thinking Manticore and one of the lower level TF's this week, like Posi or Sister Psyche. -
Quote:I actually had a character named that, at one point. I think he was a SS/Inv broot. Then it would be a Stone'Clone. And I'm not to big on /fire. Idk why, just doesn't fit in my theme dictionary.
Actually, I find that Scrapper Burn will kill most nearby enemies within the first or second damage tick. After that, though, yeah, some of them will try to get away. They inevitably fail. -
Humanform can be a lot more durable, given the right build and investment level. That said, tri-form is no slouch either, so it really depends on what you have more fun with.

Quote:Within this world and all the super-do-dah pals we have around us (and enemies and occasional side-effects), another great possibility for Judgement (and any of he powers, actually) is a magical item, a magical boon, a tech-gizmo and/or further mutation.
So far, I haven't had any issue with Electric-Knight. The only thing I might draw the line at is if his power level just exceeds what feels right for him (as I always think of him around a Spider-Man level of hero... but, then again, that is really not that limited!) then I may opt to not get certain powers and/or just not use them.
Now, if someone gets their enjoyment by not doing any content that doesn't match their In-Character aspects... more power to you and have your fun!
However, if you want the powers, but don't like the in-game context... c'mon! You can do it!
I'm all for people taking their characters as far as they feel comfortable taking them--whether that's to level 20, or level 50(+++). I realize that my OP may have seemed kind of...agressive, to some people. I suppose I am just tired of people claiming it can't be done. I've seen numerous threads on the forums, and more recently in-game, so I just wanted to do my part in helping people see the scenario from a different perspective. -

Quote:It sounds like what you are doing is what we call "Street Sweeping," something encouraged in some MMO's, but not quite effective here. Yes, you want to talk to contacts and do missions, and team up with other people. Running around and killing random enemies will not level you up very well.See, my thing is I never really learned the full game, I would just make characters and run around fighting the typical thugs. Gets boring. I want to get committed and have a high level involved character.

Actually, I thought that first one was great as is. Now I just need a banner I can throw in my sig. Hmmm...
-
Also, your power tray annoys me greatly, Slowy.
