You'll need a team with nukes if you plan on trying for Midnight Dodger.

    *sighs*
I miss being able to attend these. Still several more weeks until my work schedule snaps back to normal.

However, since you bring it up, I do see now that 5-slotting Kinetic Combat may not be worth it. I probably didn't pay enough attention to the set bonus and thought it was something else.

I could definitely move some of those slots to Photon Seekers though.

I chose Glinting Eye because I like the power, I know it's less desired over Gleaming Bolt and I could be persuaded to switch those. Would you leave the additional slot on Gleaming Bolt, or just use the one slot it comes with?

I 5-slotted Entropic Chaos on Nova Bolt for the recharge bonus.

White Dwarf has 4 slots at the moment, is that too many?

My playstyle is basically being able to do a little of everything. I enjoy Nova to do AoE damage (and some ST damage as well).

I switch to Dwarf when I need to be able to tank, do minor damage, and "control" a little with Flare.

And I stay in Human form in between and to focus on ST damage (Something that is lacking in my current build. Human form on my current build is basically useless except for using buffs).

Another goal is to get Light Form as close to perma as possible.
Well, I don't personally consider Photon Seekers a nuke--the damage isn't enough, it has a high recharge, and there are no crashes to deal with. But, I can see your point. The main reason I bring it up is that you were taking some powers (glinting eye as well) but not slotting them up enough to actually make it worth it to take. If you don't plan on using them, that's fine, but you may want to rethink the slots/enhancements you are dedicating to them.

Nova Bolt is generally considered a skippable power to slot out on moderately priced (and up) builds, because of the high recharge you are already stacking, and because it's rather weak. You are only enhancing it power so much, what with its low base damage. Plus, with instant form shifting around the corner, it will become even easier to pop out of nova form and use your melee attacks if you plan on single targeting someone. Anyway, this part is mostly preference, so I wouldn't worry about it if you dislike the idea.

For White Dwarf, unless you really need that bit of defense you're getting from reactive armor, putting 3 extra slots on it is a bit of a waste. I'd throw a common resistance IO on it, or, if you have perma light form (and don't exemp past perma LF levels), you can throw a unique resistance IO on it.

If you can, I would recommend trying to work out a bit more DPS from a single target humanform chain. Another slot or two on Radiant strike and your glinting eye should help with that, perhaps add a proc as well. Something to think about.
  3. You seem to be underslotting some of your powers (like photon seekers), and wasting slots on other powers (5 slotting kinetic combat, glinting eye, nova bolt, white dwarf).

    What are/is your goals/playstyle?
  4. Ok, I've looked at your build.

Frankly, your slotting choices are pretty bad. And yes, you've focused too much (imo) on working on recharge bonuses, to the detriment of your enhancement values and other set bonuses. I'd recommend looking around this section of the forum at the other tri-form builds that are displayed (as there are quite a few), and see how they did it. I can help fix yours if you wish, but I'd recommend taking another shot at your build first, and finish slotting it.
  5. Second week in a row we got a new kheldian player to join us We ran an ITF first:

And since we finished that rather quickly, we followed it up with a Tin Mage.

Those deaths were all Speey's, btw. Until next Friday, guys!

I didn't check out your build, but yeah, it doesn't work like that.

That shouldn't work. I have some defense items in a hallway with no control items, and they stay powered up. Granted, it isn't a control room, but it shouldn't behave any differently.

This. If you want to say something when you're by yourself, ensure that you're in local chat, or your bind is set to say it in local. The game will otherwise, as you have seen, auto-detect that you are solo and remind you of that. (You can also use broadcast/request channels, and supergroup if you are in one.)

I now have a warshade on Freedom in the SG as well. One of these days we'll have to do a non-Friday event/tf shindig.
  10. Lady Grey Task Force, we win the race by default.

  11. Except some people, like myself, like to use Ouroboros as an "Exit Stage Left" to return to their side from the alternate side. Say, for example, you're a rogue that just finished the posi TF, and now you want to jump back over to Grandville. Instead of hopping in your ouro portal, you're stuck having to find an alternate way.

Perhaps a better solution would be to keep personal portals alignment tuned, and have "always open" Ouro portals in certain zones that were location tuned.

I'd imagine it's because of the PITA factor of having to bring a character that can take care of each kind of Mito, along with having to bring enough EoE's to deal with the unresistable damage (which can otherwise just be ignored on normal runs).

I wouldn't have a problem with racing you, but you'll probably have to get mostly strangers to pad, because I'm sure many of us don't have 45+ characters left on Freedom.

I haven't been able to find it myself, but I think Weakened hami has an Elite Bosses level of regeneration. What that is, I'm afraid I don't know off the top of my head. This is the most data I could find.
  14. I'd like Stone Melee to get spiced up a little. Give the option for something besides hammers, like a big stone sword.

For the lack of a better example, see this:

Yep, it does. Just join up on the Kheldian Fridays channel and look for us around 9pm EST.

In other news, we ran the Manticore tonight. We had this new guy named Septiphergirl join us. She kept dying.

  17. Alternate idea:

Whenever they come up with a new tier9 VIP reward, move the previous one down a tier. So, when Mecha comes out, move elemental down to make it a tier 8 VIP, and celestial down to tier 7 VIP. That way, the veterans get their unique costumes to themselves for a little while, and the rest gradually becomes more and more accessible. Side benefit--no more missing out on old tier 9 items that get swapped out into the vault.

If it's any consolation, I'm sure those clones will grow quickly with instant form shifting.

I can only discuss what I've seen, and I've seen a lot of pvp'ers taking out their anger about the current state of the pvp system (that was the excuse, in one's own words) on people that had nothing to do with the way it currently is. It doesn't encourage the signing up of new players looking to join ladders/leagues/whatever.

I'm sure it goes both ways. I've never seen it, but I don't doubt it.

So - yeah, it's not just poor, innocent PVEers who are all sweetness, flowers and light and don't know a *single* four letter word getting picked on by evil PVPers. There's *quite* a bit of mud slung the other way, as well, and often *just* as unprovoked.
As for this...this is another issue entirely. I imagine what you're talking about is when PvE'ers venture into PvP zones to get PvE rewards, and get repeated ganked by some bored PvP'er. This is a rather hairy subject to get into, so suffice it to say that I can see the arguments from both sides of the fence, and neither side is entirely wrong in their way of thinking.

  21. I'd prefer a filter that would auto-delete any temp powers that dropped on me, to be honest.
  22. It sounds like he wants an AE iTrial.

Sounds like THB's AE arc that's filled with nothing but +4/x8 Void Hunters. That was...interesting, to say the least.
