...with dated announcements and online store links! Very nice!

The Server Status page keeps bouncing between servers up, down, unknown. It's having a fit.

Ouch. Point newbies at my MA "Welcome to Atlas Park". It's low level mobs from Atlas Park on an Atlas Park map with an SK range of 12-14. They can actually do it, learn something, and get the xp they crave. One run through clearing the whole map and they can run off to Kings Row and get their flight packs.
For humor value it looks like they might as well have just stayed outside the MA. The only difference is everything is just the right level for xp and the fallen meteor. -
Whenever they have an issue on test they devote some resources to it and server stability for the rest of the game takes a hit. It's noticeable for me. When the beta is over the playability improves again (barring nasty bugs).

I don't think his phase is working heroside.

Sheesh, that's all he needed to make that fight even more un-fun.
I didn't realize he was supposed to have that power. He never fired it off in the two hours we fought him (before escaping through O-portals also) on Test.
Our team was:
1 rad/rad defender
1 fire/rad controller
2 fire/? blasters
1 WP/SS tank
1 scrapper
And over a dozen shivans, HVAS, Warwolves, and miscelaneous other temp pets.
I too am avoiding this unstoppable spamming bag of hitpoints AV and poorly written story nightmare of a TF. -
My arc 57352 The All-Seeing Eye auto SKs to 45 and is solo or team friendly. It uses stock mobs (Crey, Council, Arachnos, Nemesis, Rikti, and KoA) and is doable by virtually any build with SOs.
-
My energy/energy blaster never ceases to be fun and I'm constantly pulling out my rad/rad defender for task forces. Level 50 isn't the end.
-
My best character names:
Suicidal Tendencies - DM/Regen Scrapper
Total War - Soldier of Arachnos
Cornucopia - Empathy/Energy Defender
Simon-Says - Mind/Kin Controller, Psi/Mental Blaster, Fortunata
Prometheus Unchained - Fire/Fire Tank
Operation Arc Light - Energy/Energy Blaster
Winter Kills -Ice/Ice Blaster -
This is a sweet birthday present! Hooray!

Arc Name: The All-Seeing Eye
Arc ID: 57352
Keywords: Soloable, Save The World, Drama (and Canon-related)
Length: Very Long (5 missions)
Morality: Heroic
Enemy Groups: Crey, Council, Arachnos, Nemesis, Rikti, Knives of Artemis

Russian_Babes, there's a limit to defending your arc. You've posted in this thread nearly as often as Venture has, it seems.
Whiny. If you respond to this you're proving the point. -

This might stink:
Players are no longer able to reinvite others to a Task Force after the Task Force has started.
Assuming each MA mission is a Task Force.
[/ QUOTE ]
That MIGHT be referring to the bug where people can invite others to a TF after the TF gets screwed up by someone still on an AE arc. It had the chance of being a huge exploit.
[/ QUOTE ]
It might have been tied to the mission bug where players who had active MA missions were being invited to MA teams and it caused problems. -
I know about that thread I'm the one who arranged for it. I got a friend to make the poster, designed the post, and got Ice_Knight and Niviene to port and sticky it here.
The reason we're not using it now is that Valor and I are no longer PERC reps. We resigned. Vaxin still is. The three of us discussed this upon her return to playing and decided to start a new thread for all mothership raids as non-PERC events. The old thread will eventually be removed. This is why the new thread. -
I refuse to plug my arc as if it was Sham-WOW. Consequently, it's sitting at 75 plays. If pimping it is the way to HoF, it's not worth it.

The next VSV Mothership Raid is Friday, July 3rd at 9pm Eastern.

This is a new thread for Liberty Mothership Raids. Anyone leading a raid is welcome to post the time here.

You added another paragraph just after I responded to you...

Also, don't expect players to stealth in order to make your mission fun to play. Stealth (and its various other cousins) are not part of many builds and those characters are going to have to fight. Some players like to fight. If it becomes a grind because of your design don't expect them to like it.
[/ QUOTE ]
I didn't make the mission for stealth, I just pointed out stealth could make it easier (the character he used was a SOA, but I don't know if he took stealth). And most enemies could be avoided if he hugged the walls. All mobs were stationary groups in this mission. Personally I fight my way through. 1LT and 2 minions mobs (what I encountered) should not be that difficult.
[/ QUOTE ]
I fight through most of the time as well unless the mobs prove annoying. I have a pet peeve with teams that want to stealth everything. For me it's like skipping the steak to get to dessert. I want both. -
Something I would suggest; limit your clues to those which have relevance and reduce the number to an amount your audience is going to be willing to open up the clue tab and look at them if you expect them to do so. I love story but 17 clues is a bit much to chew on. Shortly after I first wrote it I condensed my arc clues down from one per boss and glowy to one per mission as a mission complete clue. I realized that I wouldn't lose anything by doing so and players would be more willing to look at 5 clues than 10 or so. That route isn't good for every story, but if a clue doesn't have something important (a clue, not just a "you did this") then it's not adding value to your arc.
Also, don't expect players to stealth in order to make your mission fun to play. Stealth (and its various other cousins) are not part of many builds and those characters are going to have to fight. Some players like to fight. If it becomes a grind because of your design don't expect them to like it. -
There's one scheduled for tonight at 9pm Eastern

I'll agree some costume contests are obviously rigged, not all.
The most rigged costume contest I ever saw was on my home server Liberty. Contestants showed up and lined up as instructed to in broadcast. The judge and winner weren't even present. The results were just announced in broadcast. That's rigged. -

It's true that a strong build of IO sets, especially purples, increases the power magnitude of a level 50. In the hands of a skilled player an uber-IOd 50 is awe inspiring, while with an SO build the same character is still incredible.
In the hands of a bad player no amount of IO bonuses will be enough to overcome their negative contributition to a team.
Vet badges aren't always indicative of skill. Some players will never be good, no matter how long they play. And many accounts are sold on E-bay. -
To me this is the best thing about AE. I can play with mixed level teams of my friends. We can bring any characters we want regardless of mission level. I15 will only make this easier.
