That we get Rage, Criticals, Scourge, and Vigilance built into Gauntlet at their current power levels.
-
Awesome. Thanks.

I might as well ask here: the 'no fade/pulse' (or whatever it's called) option for Dark Armor, does that eliminate the 'stealthy' graphic associated with CoD?
-
Heh, my BS/SD scrapper was pulling aggro off a pair of WP/EM tankers yesterday with such ease it kind of shocked me.
Haven't played my SD/SS tanker in a long time, but I'm thinking that given the popularity of the set we'd have heard something if it were broken. Then again it is gauntlet, so it could have broken itself. -
Something to remember: you are stealthy with the power running.
Obvious perhaps, but if the lead tank is stealthy and the squishies right behind him are not, disaster can often follow. Nothing as spectacular as watching the stealthy tank rush into melee, while the rest of the team is obliterated by the spawn before he can get there.
I just started up a DA/BA tanker, and I'm still on the fence on whether to get CoD. From my /DA scrapper I know Immob is the bane of my melee enjoyment. On the other hand, he'll be getting CJ/SJ. -
I only really have two Archery characters. An Archery/Fire blaster, and a TA/Ar defender. While the blaster kicks some *** (Give me your tired, your poor, your undead...), I really enjoy playing the defender, so she'd get the nod if I had to pick one.

For my corrupt music promoter and his boy band, The Flunkees:
The Heartthrob, The Shy One, The Cute One
The Older Brother, The Bad Boy
The Roadie -
I find that one of the early game strengths of Fire is that its stun protection is in its first power. While it may not really apply to the early tf's so much, it does make early sewer runs with lost/vahz a lot easier.
I wish Inv got more love, but I can understand your reasons for that. Still, it should at least get a mention in the primarily s/l (Council, Freaks, etc.) tf's since a decently built inv tank can pretty much laugh off that damage. -
I play exactly 2 controllers: an Earth/Thermal, and a Gravity/Sonic.
While I haven't seen another Earth/Thermal, I see enough of those two sets separately to know they're not rare.
The Gravity/Sonic is a little more unique though. I can't remember the last time I saw a non-50 Gravity controller. Sonic is in pretty much the same boat as Gravity, although I do see it from time to time. The combo isn't exactly going to blow your mind, or floor anyone's jaw, but it is a nice 'sit back and help out' kind of character. Subtle effects mixed with subtle graphics make it a combo that's definitely not suited for the attention ***** among us. -
/Devices for me, primarily for concept. A WWII pilot/spy, her signature equipment is a stealth generator.
-
My wife and I both love that character.
-
I'd like to say count me in, but my messed up work schedule is already proving a hassle on the static teams I'm already part of. Best of luck to you though, sounds like fun.

Dammit. -

No Footstomp? Fail.

Results for my 50's, none of which are on Virtue anymore:
625 hours on the Silver Sledge, the Inv/SS tank I made in I3.
237 hours on Lady Fade, my MA/Regen scrapper.
121 hours on Sunrazer, my MA/Fire scrapper.
As a hardcore altoholic this really doesn't surprise me as I don't really play my 50's. -
Haven't played the combo myself for more than a few levels, but should be an AoE monster from my experience with both sets. If redraw bothers you, you'll have issues since Fire is a clicky set with healing flames and consume. It's a 'weaker' secondary, but DB does add in a fair amount of mitigation with the powers and the combos, particularly sweep.

Just for this thread, and DXP, my new scrapper.
-
Been kicked once myself on my Inv/SS tanker for not healing. So, yeah.
I don't kick useless builds from a team, but I will kick useless people from a team. Useless people won't change, but a useless build can go a lot of ways (experienced player looking for a challenge, new guy that made mistakes, etc). And I can't stand xp leeches. They get the boot, and the salt. -
Hmm... I don't really have any short bios. I don't always hit the character limit, but I've gotten exceptionally good at using the small space more effectively.
Love the bios so far. Keep 'em coming. -
Figure I'd throw in a few of my ideas, although looking through the thread just now made me feel bad because there are some freaking awesome costumes in here. Didn't get to everyone, and didn't like everyone I did get to.
Synapse - Less yapping, more scrapping.
Manticore - Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I shall fear no evil 'cause I'm the ************ with the assault rifle.
Numina - A little less granny hair, a little more steampunk martial arts.
Positron - Just excited to be outta the tin can.
Backalley Brawler - I am the Batman?
And in case I forget about this, pre-congratulations to all the winners. -
Some damned fine entries. Inspired a few ideas of my own which I'll hopefully post tomorrow if there's still an opening.
