My earth/thermal is one of my favourite alts
A brilliant support toon and fantastic on taskforces. -
On my shield/mace I managed to get away without taking the fighting pool and still got to 45% postitional def.
I put a full set of gaussians into focused accuracy for the 2,5% def to all. I skipped jawbreaker but have the rest of mace and I have all of shield plus CJ, SJ and fitness.
I have no problems tanking with him and he feels very well rounded. -
I would change it to a flat 15% endurance dicount on the secondary powerset.
-
The way I see it is that Vigilance is just a tacked on power so that all Archtypes would have an inherent and nobody could complain that their favourite Archtype didn't have one.
Vigilance is a placebo. -
I think a Warshade would be good.
Stealth in with Super Speed + Cloak, mire, go nova and obliterate everything, stygian circle up to full health and endurance, next! -
You might want to give War Mace/Shield a try, wont drain you blue bar as much as SS rage and you have plenty of AOE at high lvl (Crowd control, shatter, whirling mace and shield charge)as well as control via stun and knockdown.
The single target damage is actualy pretty nice too, should be heaps better than elec melee. -
Thats why Night Widows get smoke grenades.
-
Bane, Crab or Huntsman (check the guides section) are all good duo partners for a widow.
I would suggest you both take Maneuvers.
Dont forget that you both can take a power that works like quickness from super reflexes so you could go without travel powers.
You will need stamina I think, but can probably live without hasten.
Call reinforcements is very handy to have.
Poisnous Ray is very good damage, especially with venom grenade. -
I just don't find the aoe holds very good for the most part, too short duration and too long recharge - ymmv (volcanic gasses apart)
-
Applying cold shields isnt nearly as obnoxious as speed boosting.
I would be tempted to get air superiority in place of glacier (the only aoe controller hold I rate is vocanic gasses) -
Once you get close to the def soft cap Unstoppable becomes pretty pointless.
Resist elements isnt that important - there is virtually nothing that does cold damage except for in pvp and even fire damage is a lot less common than you might think.
I chose fire epic because I think you need more aoe damage (whirling hands is a bit naff) and its a different damage type to energy. -
I think you should rather have put a set of positrons blast in frag grenade, its one of the staple attacks, the Force Feedback proc is probaly a good idea too.
I wouldn't bother putting more than a couple damage in omega maneuver.
Put 4 of expedient reinforcments in the pet powers - 4th slot bonus is extra recharge.
Its not worth enhancing the resistance in Crab armour (its like 3% base).
I would be inclined to use 5 doctored wounds in serum and 5 (maybe 6) red fortune in TT maneuvers. -
I would say try reading Call me Awesome's guide to the getting softcapped.
Ditch hover, resist elements and unstoppable and pick up char, fireblast and fireball.
Don't get hung up on Psi, smash psi users first. -
Sure you could play with the sound switched off (I happen to like most sounds in the game), or you could do some shiannigans with sound files.
I prefered to pick another secondary that didn't make annoying sounds -
Sorry about the miss spelling of Kheldian - its as bad as Cthulhu (probably got that wrong too).
I was only posting on here because its a fairly active bit of the forums and people seem to have some strongly held opinions - I guess I have said most of what I wanted to say now.
If it seemed negative its just because I quite like Peacebringers in principle (I stuck with it to 50 afterall), I just feel that they still have a fair ways to go. -
I suggest a Dark Miasma/Dark Blast defender.
You will learn all about debuffing, when to heal, controlling, blasting, stealthing and tanking. -
I suppose Keldian players are their own worst enemy at the end of the day.
The shape shifters don't want to see buffs for the human form enthuiasts because they feel that if human was more viable then they might be obliged to use it more.
So the human form fans are left with somthing that is almost but not quite satifying - like chasing the end of a rainbow.
The triformers are left with a human form that is pretty much a poorly slotted pitstop, clunky shifting mechanics and a lack of costume customization on forms in a game that has costume indiviuality a major selling point.
I do like tri-form Warshades though - at least their human form is fairly usefull to them. -
I played it to the low 30s and found it okay - In the end I deleted the toon because I could not stand the looping sound effects anymore.
-
I really enjoyed Dual Blades/SR, its the only stalker that I managed to get past the teens, and went all the way to 50 with.
-
In that case I would rather use Storm as a base than Empathy. Allow the human from shields to affect a team (like steamy mist) and extend the range on Glowing Touch - job done.
-
I like the idea of stacking -res added to Peacebringer attacks.
Debuffs are a good idea, not too sure about healing - healing is a full time role, I don't really see half-measure healing being that usefull.
