Sophie takes the bass and listens for a while before starting, she felt she was going rather well until she missed one note, blushing furiously, but carrying on as best she could, finishing again and looking up nervously. She respected Adam's musical prowess and was very un-confident about her chances within the band, but hey, if she didn't try then she'd never know.

((Sophie's ok at the bass and can get a rhythm going and is far more 'taught' with it, shes obviously had a few lessons but she is far less relaxed and misses a few notes, probably from nervousness))

Sophie sat down and took a sheet of paper out from her pocket, unfolding it and handing it almost reverently too Acenra,

"Be careful with it, my Mum wrote it down," She smiled, "It's called, 'My Old Man', it's a little simple but it's really nice"

She began.

((ok, for those who don't know the song, it is an old Irish folk song, written by an unknown Irishman, when i first heard it it was during a music festival in Dublin. It was a getting late and they were asking people to come up and sing, so up stepped one bloke, handed the guitarist a sheet of music and sung this song. Literally, by the end of it, the entire pub, the landlord and even the guitarist were upset, some had tears in their eyes. Sorry to have to tell a story but it seriously is a VERY sad song about someone's dead dad. As far as how well Sophie does it, she isn't a sonic/sonic defender or anything but she does it justice and is very emotive and seems to be able to cover a lot of the note range easily ))

Sophie finished and waited nervously for Adam's response.

Lo there guys, i'm not totally sure if this is the right place to post this but i thought i might as well go for it.

Just wondering if anyone has any Halloween Salvage they are willing to sell to me? or give? i'm not fussed lol, i need a full set for my new character, i would of got the stuff i needed but i honestly didn't know i was going to make a new character so soon lol.

**** i like this quite a lot, yeah it's complicated, yeah it's annoying, but when he first meets someone it always get the conversation going and it sounds fairly mystical etc.

Looks:
***** I love they way Jack looks, the jacket, helmet and all the rest of it, suits me down to the bone, don't know why just does

Powers:
**** Dark/Dark Scrapper, brilliant for rp, sometimes lets me down when in teams.

Ebon Tear

*** i like the Ebon bit... but the tear bit doesn't work so well now that it's not in the plotline, i have a reason for the being her name... but it just makes her sound kinda depressed.

Looks:
**** I hate her 2nd costume which i currently trying to change it something a bit nicer, but her casaul clothes i like and it's pretty individual i think.

Powers:
**** Again i like dark/dark a lot even with defenders whom i normally can't play very long

Genesis Blade

***** Love the name... just sounds right

Looks:
*** I quite like Genesis's looks but i think the hat makes him look a bit daft to be honest, i've just tried a set of casual clothes on him and it is very hard to get it to fit his character lol

Powers:
**** Katana/Regen scrapper, again i am really enjoying this and looking forward to some of the higher end powers.

Sophie followed behind up the stairs into the music room and waited for whatever Adam had planned for her to do, or maybe she would be allowed to think something of her own choice...

"uh, yeah, if you don't mind," Sophie took around inside the small appartment and shrugged, "are they one still? i saw a flyer on a telegraph pole in the Hollows."

Sophie stood at the door to the appartment, just making sure everything was alright she took a deep breath and knocked on the door, hearing the music inside stop she waited to begin the auditions.

well i'd say asking here or going to GG, there are lots of RP SGs around, i don't know all of the but there are a few below

The Cirque De La Lune

ok those are just a few i know of, each one has a different theme or idea behind it and you just have to decide which fits your character i guess. If your character was say... anyone who liked explosions - the fletched alliance would be a good call. A mysterious clown or card player or someone with secrets to hide - The Cirque De la Lune might work nicely.

Love the second one in particular

Dusk had fallen upon the hollows, crushing out the light and enveloping the streets in a cloak of silence that muted the roars of trolls and the jeers of the Outcasts. Sophie slowly made her way through home, occasionally trying to teleport, although reluctant since the last attempt had been embarrassing at the least. As she walked past a lamp post she stopped and looked at the sheet stapled on one side. Quickly flicking through the badly made poster she smiled when she saw who was starting it and snatched the poster making a mental note to call and see if any places were open, she'd never call herself as musical as Adam but hey, she might as well try, and if she didn't make it in at least she had made the effort.

simply because of the line 'this is the way i pray' and the general rebellious feel of the song, stand against the tide, all that stuff


Genesis Blade - Ten Thousand Fists - Disturbed (same band i know, i'm boring that way)
I actually based the whole of Genesis's character around this song, especially the 'sight of ten...' bit gave me the idea for his blindness.

Ebon Tear - I have no idea? any help lol, can't think of one to fit her character

i do something similar but i like to have some idea ya know lol. And i probably won't do my old idea now need to make up my mind but i am gonna do something i've been working on mentally for a while, will be nice to get it down on paper lol

i think i'm going to do something about Jack's early days, during the war and more focally, the time he spent in Egypt shortly afterwards. If that doesn't fill up the 50k then i will move on to the experiences he has had with the circle recently and try and top it up although i think the egypt thing will fill it up
