Dusk had fallen upon the hollows, crushing out the light and enveloping the streets in a cloak of silence that muted the roars of trolls and the jeers of the Outcasts. Sophie slowly made her way through home, occasionally trying to teleport, although reluctant since the last attempt had been embarrassing at the least. As she walked past a lamp post she stopped and looked at the sheet stapled on one side. Quickly flicking through the badly made poster she smiled when she saw who was starting it and snatched the poster making a mental note to call and see if any places were open, she'd never call herself as musical as Adam but hey, she might as well try, and if she didn't make it in at least she had made the effort.
picking up his guitar, Acenra strummed the strings lightly. the sound bounced from the filthy walls of his new home.
he then concentrated hard, and suddenly, the guitar was covered in runes. strumming the instrument again caused it to soundas if being played through and amp.
he then started to play and sing "Wish you were here" by Incubus, with the musicechoing for a long distance aroun king's row
Sophie stood at the door to the appartment, just making sure everything was alright she took a deep breath and knocked on the door, hearing the music inside stop she waited to begin the auditions.
Acenra wandered to the door and opened it. he saw the person at the door and raised an eyebrow
"I suppose that you're here for band auditions, hmm?"
"uh, yeah, if you don't mind," Sophie took around inside the small appartment and shrugged, "are they one still? i saw a flyer on a telegraph pole in the Hollows."
"yes, they're still on. you're the first to arrive" Acenra replied "well, lets go to my 'music room' and see what you can do" he wandered upstairs, wondering if Sophie is following him
Sophie followed behind up the stairs into the music room and waited for whatever Adam had planned for her to do, or maybe she would be allowed to think something of her own choice...
Adam stood in the middle of a decripit room, which only had a few instruments in various places. looking at Sophie, he raised an eyebrow
"so, what can you do?" he asked
"Well, i can do bass, fairly well and i can sing," she smiles weakly, trying to get ready.
"well, let's hear you sing" Adam stated "then we'll see how well you can handle a bass"
Sophie nods, "ok sure, anything in particular or can i choose?"
"you choose" Acenra stated, sitting down "I don't mind"

Walking through the cold streets of Kings row tracking down a sorceror, Methusalor the hero Hawkblaze began to sense the sound of singing, following the vibrations he found an old house which seemed to have to people in one of which was singing............

Sophie sat down and took a sheet of paper out from her pocket, unfolding it and handing it almost reverently too Acenra,
"Be careful with it, my Mum wrote it down," She smiled, "It's called, 'My Old Man', it's a little simple but it's really nice"
She began.
((ok, for those who don't know the song, it is an old Irish folk song, written by an unknown Irishman, when i first heard it it was during a music festival in Dublin. It was a getting late and they were asking people to come up and sing, so up stepped one bloke, handed the guitarist a sheet of music and sung this song. Literally, by the end of it, the entire pub, the landlord and even the guitarist were upset, some had tears in their eyes. Sorry to have to tell a story but it seriously is a VERY sad song about someone's dead dad. As far as how well Sophie does it, she isn't a sonic/sonic defender or anything but she does it justice and is very emotive and seems to be able to cover a lot of the note range easily

Sophie finished and waited nervously for Adam's response.
the emotion on Acenra's face was invisible. he just sat, his eyes closed under his mask.
he then replied in a monotone
"ok, let's see you play the bass" he picked up a dark blue Gisbon flying V bass guitar and handed it to Sophie. he then picked up his black BC rich warlock "play a bass rythm to back this tune" he then started playing the intro rhythm of More Than A Feeling by Boston

Sophie takes the bass and listens for a while before starting, she felt she was going rather well until she missed one note, blushing furiously, but carrying on as best she could, finishing again and looking up nervously. She respected Adam's musical prowess and was very un-confident about her chances within the band, but hey, if she didn't try then she'd never know.
((Sophie's ok at the bass and can get a rhythm going and is far more 'taught' with it, shes obviously had a few lessons but she is far less relaxed and misses a few notes, probably from nervousness))
Upon finding the door, John knocked twice

hearing the knocks at the door, Adam stops the music
"ok, you're in. excuse me for a moment" he heads downstairs and opens the door
"you here for the band auditions?" he asks the man standing at his door
Yes, Yes i am
"ok, follow me" he heads back up stairs, wondering if the man was following him
Walking tentatively John shut the door and followed the man up the stairs

Acenra stood in the room where he lead Sophie earlier. he then turned aound
"so, what instrument do you play?"
Confidently John stated he plays guitar and has done for many years

"ok, lay the guitar solo to Ace of Spades by Motrhead" Acenra stated, handing the man the guitar

Acenra, a travelling super hero, had followed his hated enemy to Paragon city.
when he arrived in somewhere called Kings row, he lost the enemy he calls Shadow
"Bloody hell!" the teenage hero cursed under his breath "looks like I'm stuck here"
with no money, the british hero searched the streets for unused buildings. he mannaged to find a home, somewhere near the factories. it was condemed, stinking and full of rats, but it had to do.
Acenra took a walk, making a mental note of the old home. he then started to reminise about his old band a few years back. he kept thinking 'all this heroing, I'm letting one of my powers go to waste'
finding a copy house and a few dollars, he managed to make a poster, rough as anything, describing that he needed a new band, then placed them in the vicinity of his new abode.
heading home, he waited to see if anyone would take an interest in the idea of a band....
