We would like to know if you stay out of sync for more than 10 seconds. The server should automatically try to /sync if you're out of sync for that long.
[/ QUOTE ]
I couldn't give you an exact time, but I know within the past week I've been out of sync a couple of times and both lasted for longer than 10 seconds. Since then if I rubber band more than one after zoning I just /sync and haven't had any problems after that. -

Costume Pieces - New Costume Pieces would be nice (Fur lined skirts, maybe gloves/boots that are fur lined but don't have that buckle on them, maybe a Snow Man head similar to the Pumpkin Head from Halloween.)
[/ QUOTE ]
Agreed, especially for female characters. The boots especially are way to masculine for my characters to want to wear. How about something like this. -
[ QUOTE ]
One way that could be balanced would be to have each TF give random drops at the content's level, not at your level.
So... if there's worry about Katie giving farmable recipes AND merits, it gets farmed for level 34 recipes. (Plus 1 or 2 levels on higher difficulties.) Not nearly as abusive as farming level 50s, given the difference in power between 50 buffs and 34 buffs.
55 Merits on Posi plus a level 15 drop isn't much more from the view of a 50 farmer, but consider how it looks to a level 15 character.
etc, etc. Not totally the random drop plus merits, but still a great compromise.
This would actually help the market quite a bit by generating a variety of levels. Consider how many level 30-ish Posi Triples were getting sold even before Merits came along.
[/ QUOTE ]
That would make Posi really popular. Since 15 is the lowest that the +stealth movement IO's drop. -

- I can't realistically keep particular pets from having powers I don't like (Thugs, I'm lookin' at you)
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, you can. Just use the Goto command to make those pets move away from the others before buffing. -
I sooooooooooooo need a new mac. I've got two (EMac & old Macbook) and neither have the graphics card to play it.
CoH is one of the few reasons I still have a PC for gaming. -

On patrol is the default Day Job for players who dont log out from one of the specific Day Job locations. We wanted to make sure everyone got some type of reward, even if they didnt have the time to get to a specific location before logging out.
[/ QUOTE ]
Glad to see that this will work as originally announced, though now that On Patrol's reward is known I'm sure others won't be.
[/ QUOTE ]
When I saw that I mentally threw confetti into the air. I outlevel stuff enough as it is. Thanks, devs!

Nerf xp!
Seriously though, we have the Ouroborus system in place to go back and play content we missed. How is this an issue?
[/ QUOTE ]
Some of us like the satisfaction of getting it all the first time through. It took my ele/storm corruptor a lot of planning and a bit of debt to get every story arc and badge mission done for levels 1-15 (including Veluta Lunata) without having to use Ouroborus. -
[ QUOTE ]
I'm curious as to whether the Double XP time for being On Patrol will appear in temp power form. If so, I would hope those that don't want to participate can just delete the power.
[/ QUOTE ]
I hope so as well. Especially if I'm trying not to outlevel a contact before getting their story arc or badge mission. The only time I would want double XP is if when I've done all the content for a particular tier of contacts and just want to get to the next group. -

Is the idea of having access to both COH and COV epics after one 50 on an account floating out somwhere else on the forums? If so I missed it in my search.
[/ QUOTE ]
It was discussed extensively before I12 went live and it's not going to happen. If you want a villain epic, you got to grind a regular villain to level 50 first. -

If the myriad ways of getting respecs currently - free, WWs, earned in Trial, Vet Rewards - are insufficient for players (which I find hard to imagine), then some sort of repeatable Trial should have been put in place, ie, making a respec an option for the STF/LRSF, that's chooseable every 30 days or something.
[/ QUOTE ]
Believe me, there are plenty of players out there who kept fidgeting with their character builds and have no respecs left. They used all three trial respecs, all their vet respecs, and used up their most recent freespec. So right now they have two choices, grind the inf to get one from from ww/bm, or pay $9.99 and get one right away.
The real question is what's worth more, your time or your money? -
While I have argued against unlimited respecs in the past, I actually like this idea. Mostly because this gives someone who has completely run out of every respec option available, a final (but not free) solution.
Now I believe that the price really wasn't designed to make NCSoft tons of money. It was most likely chosen as a balance between what people would pay if they absolutely needed it, versus keeping some players from buying one every other week (although that may not stop some of them).
Now some people have said "if you really need one, just play the market for a few hours and buy one there". Bah. If I needed one, I'd just figure out how to work ONE extra hour at my real job and make enough extra on my paycheck to pay for the respec. I know that won't work for everyone, but some people may be able to swing a little extra work and earn the money faster then you could work the market for the INF required to buy the recipe (and no market risk either).
I did see a few people mention that some casual gamers might use RMT services to buy the INF needed to buy a respec recipe instead of just buying one from NCSoft. I checked the first three RMT sellers that came up in an online search. One would sell 30 million for around $7-$8. The other 2 had a 50 mil inf minimum order and cost between $7-$12. So either way you pay about the same, and NCSofts $9.99 guarantees you get one. 50 mil inf only gets you one is someone is selling it for less than that. Personally, I'd rather give the money to NCSoft, at least they might put it toward developing new stuff for CoX.
All in all, it seems to be a well thought out idea with a price point that isn't too high, but not so low as to promote excessive use. -
[ QUOTE ]
May I suggest *AGAIN* the CoV DVD cape in there somewhere since it no longer seems available?
[/ QUOTE ]
Not going to happen. The Devs PROMISED that the CoV special edition stuff would only be available to those who bought the special edition. There would be a lot of upset players if the CoV:SE cape and alternate Aracnos emblem were added as a vet reward.
BTW, the pre-order stuff never received an exclusive promise from the devs, that's only for the CoV:SE stuff. -
[ QUOTE ]
Well this is a nice plus for all those that didn't pre-order either CoH or CoV however I will now think twice about any pre-ordering incentives given in the future. I mean what is the point of ordering early just to have your bonus taken away at a future date?
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, pre-order incentive costume pieces are available when designing the characters starting costume. As a vet reward, the character would have to hike all the way to Icons or Facemaker and burn a costume token to get the costume piece.
[ QUOTE ]
Oh I wouldn't get to cozy with those nice Vet powers either as it seems they are Temporary Powers anyway. I imagine they will go sometime in the future as most TEMPS do.
[/ QUOTE ]
They are just listed under the temp powers, they don't go away. They have no expiration time and unlimited charges. Your origin power is also listed in the temp power section as well.
Personally, these rewards don't excite me at all. I have the pre-order helms and never used them. Just couldn't seem to get them to look right with any of the costumes I tried designing. As for the additional vet power, most of my characters don't use them anyway. If the power seemed like a good fit, thematically speaking, I might take it, but in most cases, I don't bother.
Now, I know what I wouldn't mind seeing done for vet rewards. First get sexy Jay to come up with some cool and desirable costume pieces. Then add them in as both a Vet Reward and Invention recipes. Vet's get the pieces for free and can use them during their initial costume creation, while newer players can get the pieces they want either through a lucky drop, or buying the recipe from Wentworths or the Black Market. If you notice, the best VR costume pieces were all given out pretty early in the program. Opening up some of the later ones as invention recipes might be a good way to get some good pieces added as Vet Rewards at the higher end. -

I'd prefer seeing new powers and not as much prolif. ATs should be somewhat unique. Causes us to want to try all of them
[/ QUOTE ]
Even though I love totally new powersets, I agree with those that say, that if the sole reason to play an AT is based on the powerset then something is wrong with the way the game is designed. The draw of an AT should be the way the AT is designed. Meaning that if you want alot of defense then chose a tank, want high melee damage chose a scrapper.
[/ QUOTE ]
The problem is that with any AT, the different powersets aren't always designed the same. Look at controllers for example. Illusion gets more pets, but has fewer direct damage attacks (and no immobilize*), while Gravity has tons of single target attacks but just the one pet. I've played both, and they play very differently even though they are both controllers.
Also, sometimes new powersets help stir players imagination and gives them new ideas for new characters. New characters keep player interest up, which keeps them playing longer.
* I mentioned immobilize because I noticed that when soloing EB's, I could usually immobilize the a lot easier (vs trying to hold them), which made Containment's bonus damage kick in. Illusions lack of an immobilize power makes soloing some EB's more difficult (or at least take longer). -

wasnt there one that was a invis or stealth inspiration? from a couple of betas ago?
i dont see that one in there..anyone rememebr what it was?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes there was. I did not include Inspirations that had been discontinued.
Should I add them?
[/ QUOTE ]
I say yes because Inspirations like Discipline are still in the game. I still have a couple of old alts that still have them. -

25 seconds remaining in the download, then however long it takes to apply the patch. Has the blaster portion happened yet?

They're doing the new power sets right now. They are doing them in mixed groups and will sort them out later. -

I'm still downloading so don't worry nothing is rocking as of yet...

Meh... well, here is my character, since it seems like I'll never get to show it off in person.
Name: Password
Type: Psi/Mind Blaster
Password standing in King's Row
Password using her powers.
Already have the name reserved on Virtue.

Keep trying!!! That would be a great costume for them to capture. -

If the Training Room server is up, shouldn't everyone be able to get a connection at the very least? Why only some people getting in?
[/ QUOTE ]
Maybe only a certain number of people can connect to download the patch at a given time. I probably just got lucky. I had started the updater and went to eat and watch some TV. When I came back in the room, the patch was being applied. -
[ QUOTE ]
Hope the event hasn't started yet... twenty minutes later, and still no patch.
[/ QUOTE ]
People are getting in. There's a very small crowd in Pocket D.
Got to say, I love the color for the Widows power icons (dark purple). -
What about archery/trick arrow for corruptors? I know masterminds have TA and can get archery attacks from Ninja, but not a full set of archery attacks.

3.) More variety for Longbow. For the love of all that is evil, at least give them another type of Lieutenant. Villains fight them so often in the game, and yet, with the exception of the Bosses, the group is incredibly repetitive. Why not give them a robotics division?
[/ QUOTE ]
How about more variety in the Knives of Artemis? They only have three different types of mob: minion, lieutenant. and boss. Fighting them gets real old real fast because every fight is EXACTLY the same EVERY SINGLE TIME. -

This pack is something that we were able to make available outside of our regular release schedule. So, no, you won't have to pay for other new costumes and emotes. We realize that the Wedding Pack won't be for everyone, but hopefully those who are interested in it will find that they like having the option to obtain it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Quick clarification... will the Wedding Pack be in the store for the foreseeable future, or is it a limited edition-type thing?
[/ QUOTE ]
It was stated somewhere that the wedding pack won't be a limited time expansion. So you should be able to pick it up later on.
After I played around with it, I'm wondering if we'll see a flood of Goths in black wedding gowns.
Shame we can't do 2 color on the top. Could have tried for a more lolita goth look. -

[ QUOTE ]
This is a terrible idea, and the fans need to send a clear message that they aren't going for it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, considering how many posts I've seen from people who did buy the wedding pack (myself included), it seems that some fans are going for it. Personally, I think it cost a bit more than it probably should, but not so much that I wouldn't purchase it this time.
