And if you do get near him? Incandescent Strike is going to ruin your life. And by "ruin" I mean "end".

Does he ever talk? I mean, I've teamed with him several times, but the only thing he does is call targets. And of course, he kills them.

Doms of course I can't get enough of. Especially after the changes. Hands down my favorite Archetype.

    *looks at the forum name*

Heyyy, we don't like that kinda tawlkin 'round these parts.

*calls in the angry Scrapper-loving mob*
  3. And aside from AV soloing, Cold brings a lot more to a team than Rad. In my opinion, at least.
  4. [ QUOTE ]
Cold is better than Dark but worse than Rad for AV/GM soloing

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not quite sure about that. Cold is safer because the AV can only get off one attack every 10 minutes (not literally, but being at the slow cap does suck). It also has more -res.
  5. Yea, I'd relate Stalkers more to Blasters than anything else. Deal out a lot of damage in a short time, but don't take it as well as Scrappers or Brutes.

Also, /Regen is far better for Scrappers than for Stalkers. Stalker HP cap is in the 1600's, and HP is highly important for a /Regen. My Scrapper has 1850 HP without DP. So if a Stalker has DP up (without IH), my Scrapper and most /Regen Scrappers out there are -still- going to get back more HP/sec than a Stalker.

Also, I have to disagree with whoever thinks that Doms will negate the need for Blasters. Many people are calling CoX after GR "City of Blasters". I understand that Dom's Ranged damage modifier is fairly close to the Blaster's, but Blaster's are still going to be the damage and AoE kings of CoX.

And in PvP? Blasters will rule on either side.

Anyways, if I16 in allowing our level 50's to become more powerful grants us more slots I'll be a lot more excited about my PB.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Get excited. However you wont be able to PL to get those slots.

If you know something we don't, spill it!

    Please?

Yea, Dawun is as tough a PB as they come. Stalkers generally crumble when they try to bring anything less than 3. I watched him easily fight off 2 Stalkers, killing one and sending the other one back to base.
  9. Well I'm quite biased, as my Cold/ Defender was one of my absolute characters to play.

But for starters, it has 4 buffs to teammates, all of which are pretty effective. 2 +defense shields which grant defense equal to or nearly equal to FF's 2 shields. It also has a +HP Buff that increases a target ally's HP substantially. It's last buff is Arctic Fog, which is pretty much your usual PBAoE toggle +stealth power.

For debuffs, you get Infrigerate, Benumb, Heat Loss, Snow Storm, and Sleet. I assume you know what Snow Storm is, a target foe toggle that debuffs their speed and recharge and keeps them from flying. Infrigerate debuffs the target's speed, recharge, defense, and Fire damage. Benumb has a massive -regen debuff, a -damage debuff (all), and a debuff that makes the target's secondary abilities less effective (including heals). Heat Loss is similar to Fulcrum Shift, except it debuffs the damage resistance of the target (and all enemies near the target), while also sapping some endurance and giving endurance as well as a +recovery bonus to all allies near the target and near you. Beautiful power, really. I believe it also slows them. And lastly, you have Sleet which has massive -resistance and -defense debuffs as well as slow and some knockdown.

With Cold, you get ally +End, +Recovery, +Defense, +HP, and some small resistance to cold, energy, fire, and toxic. You get foe debuffs to -Regen, -Resistance, -Defense, -Speed, -Recharge, -End, and -Damage. It's very easy to get an enemy to the slow cap.

It's an absolutely beautiful set when used correctly and can be a major asset on Task Forces or any content, for that matter.

I figured Going Rogue would be coming out November-ish. Guess that means it'll be considerably longer than that?

Anyways, if I16 in allowing our level 50's to become more powerful grants us more slots I'll be a lot more excited about my PB. Tri-Form is basically human heals/BU with Nova and Dwarf slotted for me.

    [/ QUOTE ]

What now? What is this I hear about adding more slots?
  12. Yea, don't even try. It's not worth it at all. Listen to mac. +HP and +Recharge are crucial. Healing Flames is what makes Fiery Aura viable.
  13. *sigh* Just thinking about the AV soloing capabilities of a /Cold Troller makes me very excited.
  14. Spizzie

    Bots/TA?

Yea, try to stick it out to 32; it's more than worth it. I remember thinking "man, I can't do this anymore.. It's just too slow" at 30. But I toughed it out to 32 and then I had one of the most powerful characters I had ever made. Of course, mine was a Bots/FF which is more durable, but can't dish out the damage that Bots/TA can.

You can start a new trend! AE babies will see your combo in the 30's and just be in awe at how awesome it is.
  15. If you can get your debuffs on a Villain, they're probably going to die (if you are on a team). Rad/ isn't as dominant as it once was, but you can still make someone easy pickings for the Scrappers and Tanks (Trollers don't need your help locking things up and Blasters don't need things locked up at all to kill).

Unfortunately, /Ice is terrible in PvP right now.
  16. Spizzie

    Bots/TA?

Please, I beg you, stay Bots/TA. Really, you'll be so happy you did. Trick Arrow has got to be one of the most enjoyable sets in the game, to me at least. Not only that, but Bots/TA has some pretty good synergy. Oil Slick with the Assault Bot (nasty), EMP Arrow's -recovery doesn't matter as much because your offense doesn't use up endurance (it's your pets!), and all of the controls help you keep things within the massive AoE carnage that is Bots.

Plus, it's just so refreshing to see a /TA MM out there.
  17. Ah yes, Trick Arrow. Oh, how I love Trick Arrow. I hate that a lot of teams won't take a Controller or Defender if they're trick arrow because they can't heal. But I love when they do, so I can show off how much I bring to the team.

    Best AV soloers?

Try out the typical AV soloer: Illusion/Rad Controller. Although soon, Illusion/Cold will be great for AV soloing, too. Ill/Rad can solo GM's, too. I'm speculating that Ill/Cold will be able to as well.
  19. Spizzie

    Elec/regen

Well Thunderstrike and Havok Punch (maybe Charged Brawl) will be the only worthwhile attacks for Elec Melee. It could be good in Fiteklub duelz for end drain, if you're into that whole "stand still and click stuff until one wins" thing.
  20. Ah, okay. Well that changes a bit. I personally would say Storm is better for zone than for arena.
  21. Cold Domination is also capable of soloing AV's. At least I'd suspect so, what with all the nasty debuffs and whatnot.
  22. Also depends what side you want to PvP on for the next few months. Once Going Rogue comes out you'll be able to PvP on either side, but for now it matters.

Keep in mind that Corruptors don't hit nearly as hard as Blasters. I personally like Controllers the best. Illusion is quite fun, and you can be a fortress for any other heroes to stay around. Often times, you'll see a Stormie as the center of a hero huddle. Also, Ice and Mind are good primaries for PvP, with Mind/ being the best. Illusion isn't generally a good PvP set, but I just like it so much.

Go make a Psy/ Blaster for PvP and slot that sucker in Will Domination, then tell me if you think it has any uses.

That proc alone has made Psy/ the go-to PvP primary for Blasters. Without it, Psy/ wouldn't be such a clear-cut choice.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, i'm gonna have to disagree with that. I hardly use will dom cuz I somewhat feel the 100% chance for placate is a bit cheap, yet psy imo is still the clear cut choice for blasters.

    [/ QUOTE ]

PvP takes no prisoners, so I can't agree with not using all of your resources to defeat another player. Without the ability to use that Proc, Psy/ is still the best. However, it makes the Psy vs Sonic argument a bit more balanced.
  24. Yea, anything /Storm is going to be fun, viable, and disruptive in PvP. You're going to be the solution to the problem that is the Mastermind AT.
  25. If you can get safe of Knockout Blow (takes like 12 KB protection) you're doing pretty well. Getting safe of Levitate is an entirely different monster and I wouldn't even try it on a MM. Takes a total of 35 Knockback protection outside of toggles to be safe against a fully slotted Levitate. It's not that important on a MM, really. I haven't tried to get it on my Scrapper because at a certain point, I would just be getting powers that I'd never use to be safe of Levitate.

You could always wait until i16 comes out for /Thermal Masterminds. They're going to be hell to deal with. I know for sure I'm not going anywhere near one if I have a choice.
