  1. So yeah, I've soft capped S/L on a Claws/Regen build, just to see how it all works out. It's not a build I intend to use, unless others think it's good enough to work in game. I've either gone mental, or made a good build lol. Oh, and a quick question about attack powers. Which would you choose if you could only have one? Swipe or Strike?

    I never knew that lol. I pretty much know what IOs I need for certain bonuses in the powers I use regularly, but that would have been very useful when I first started using Mids.

    I had in the late thirties on my toon, and wasn't impressed. As Werner said, it's better to get one or the other, or neither if you prefer.
  6. To soft cap Melee using one shot of Parry, don't you only need about 24% Melee defense before Parry hits? With my BS/WP scrapper, I have Parry on auto so it swings at every opportunity. My BS/WP has some amazing survivability just by using Parry as my first attack in every mob. Saying that, I suppose it also depends how you slot Parry.
  7. I just remembered I modified the build I posted, so that it's soft capped to Melee, and the other stuff like Regen and Recovery are slightly higher. I'll just post the data chunk to save space.

  8. I got this build off the forums a while back but can't remember who posted it originally. I also can't remember whether I modified it at all. I use it on my Dark/Dark scrapper at the moment though, and it's an amazing build. It rips through mobs and the end use is quite low.

  9. My Claws/Regen is at 40.5 HP/sec regen without Dull Pain or Instant Healing. His recovery rate is 3.73 end/sec. His recharge speed is 60%, which isn't great but I have Hasten so I'm happy with that. He's also soft capped to S/L, which helps his survival a lot. I've only tested him against Vandal so far, but he mowed down that AV without any problems. He can easily survive against Devouring Earth Monsters as well. He can't defeat them, but they can't defeat him either

  13. I just tested my build out at lvl 48 and without either CoF or OG, and it seems to work pretty well. I've only tested it out against +1 x3 Banished Pantheon mobs, so I don't know how it'd do against other enemy types yet. If its performance against Banished Pantheon is anything to go by though, life without OG and CoF seems promising.
  14. I took Death Shroud and have it on whenever I solo.

    I don't really have the slots free to use on either power if I took them. I'd probably only have the one slot that comes with the power. How does this sound? I could slot a Razzle Dazzle: Chance of Immob in OG. Would that Immob work often enough to stop most enemies wondering away?

    I've got 22-30% Def to all, apart from Melee which is at 42%.
  15. I've been very slowly leveling my Dark/Dark scrapper for the past four years (altisis...), and he's now at level 48 and nearing the time for a final build. I've been messing on Mids, trying to work out the best build for him. I have a problem though. I'm torn between taking Cloak of Fear, Opressive Gloom, or neither of them. My build is pretty tight, and I can squeeze one of them in if I reshuffle slightly. So which of the two would you choose if you had to pick one of them, or would you skip them both if you were struggling to find room for either?

    My Dark/Dark Scrapper rocks! I love his powers, his look, and even his name I agree with others who have said you're too quick to judge a build based on how it is when you try to play it the same way as you would play something like a /WP or an /SR. /Dark is a different set entirely. It's an awesome set, if you learn to play it properly.

    My first solo AV

    I solo'ed my first AV the other night. I beat Vandal at +2 with my Claws/Regen. Didn't use temp powers or insps. Just kicked his butt There was a two-three minute period where neither of us hit one another, but other than that it went very smoothly.

  20. Finduilas, that's a great build. Do you mind if I convert it to use as a build for my Invuln/Stone tanker? My tanker is only soft capped to Smashing/Lethal with one enemy in range, and isn't quite soft capped for the other defense types.

    I have a Spines/Fire scrapper who is at around lvl 30 right now. He seems like he'll be a great farming toon when he reaches 50 and I can afford to fill his build with IO sets. Right now though, he's horrible to manage in terms of end usage.
  22. I've never actually used Phase Shift. Can you move around while it's active? If you can, you could use the power to get right up to those snipers and take them out quickly once it wears off. That actually sounds like a great power, if you can use it in that way.
  23. Thanks for your reply. I'll swap Build up and Parry around for the final build, then Parry will be taken as soon as it's available. I tend to only do the mid to higher lvl TFs (the ones lvl 25 and above), so Stamina where it is will still be active in most of the TFs I do.
  24. My build is a lot like that with very similar numbers, and works pretty well in PvP. I hardly ever go into PvP zones or in the arena, but on the odd occasion that I have ventured into PvP areas, my toon has held his own very well. I think it's not all about the build, but also somewhat about how well you play as the toon when it comes to /regen. You have to be quick and time your power clicks well to get the most out of a /regen toon.
