Where is everyone?

I just resubscribed to check out the game again, as I've haven't played since last year (433 days to be exact), I was pretty shocked to find Atlas Plaza completely devoid of people.

I sat around for five minutes to see if it wasn't loading them (I've -never- known Atlas Plaza to ever be completely empty before, I don't think I've ever even seen it with less than 20 people there) and just saw one low level player come out of City Hall and run off.

Thinking that maybe everyone just hung out in AE these days, (it used to be packed in there most of the time) I went inside and found three people standing about.

This isn't a complaint, populations naturally decline, I'm just wondering if the population really has died, or if it's just only around at certain times these days? Is there a time when the world seems alive anymore? Or is there somewhere else people gather now?

Are there any active supergroups around looking for players?

Its the middle of a working day in the middle of school term time.

Its a friday in Summer, quite a warm one.

The game is heavily instanced based, standing in a social area at a time when people wont be doing too much socialising (since thered be so few people on most would be doing missions) isnt really a good way to judge the population.

Join Sals Badgehunters, a global channel, and you'll see quite a few people online.

Also, since Going Rogue is in Closed Beta, it may be that those that have the time to be on today are testing the new stuff instead.

Well there is one big thing that has arrived this season.
Summer vacation.
People being away from the computer etc... However our peak times are around 5/6 pm CET to later.
Also if you want to see more of the population I recommend that you join in all or atleast two of the following channels (To get a little more idea where some people are).
Sals badgehunters, Union Chat and Union Task Force.
Sals badgehunters: Main badgehunter channel, creates Taskforces etc... Badge/Tf creation has priority. Default server Union (remnants of the old UBH), but it is possible to start another server badgehunt from it.
Union Chat: The channel to talk about everything and anything or nothing in particular.
Union Task Force: Helps creating taskforces and events.

Truth be told the recent years have been making us dwindle a little, so my hope is that we get as many players into the most used channels ASAP so that we have a communication network.

Freelancing really doesn't help my concept of whatever everyone else is doing with their time. :P

But yes, it probably was a bit foolish to imagine people would be on around then, I just remember when people used to be on around those times.

I'll pop back in tomorrow probably and joins those channels, thanks for pointing them out!
