    You forgot a few positions:
    Running back/tight end = Widow
    Safety = Dom
    Cornerback = Stalker

    A Widow, not a Fort. You'll need to pay a bit more attention with a Fort as (unless built for melee) they're more like controllers or doms...
  3. Getcherself a Widow. Lots of damage and defenses, and that alpha strike is a sight to see. A bane or crab might be fun too, but I like taking 1 of my 2 widows out on the town when I want to see lots of baddies drop quickly...

  5. Tom's Hardware provided this list on their website, which helped me settle on the on-sale 5770 for Ultra Mode:
    http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...pu,2732-7.html
  6. You have to be able to speak to a contact to receive a mission from them (*any* mission). So if you go all the way hero, you can't talk to the Arbiter that introduces you to your patron. You will also lose any active missions red-side once you go all the way hero.
  7. My fort, Fortune Dane to the public, Dane Keyes to f&f, will probably become a Rogue simply because that's where the money is. He joined Arachnos simply for the business opportunities anyway, and the wider your market, the more business opportunities there are.

    My widow, Duchess Morgana, may one day realize that Arachnos recruited her simply for her legitimate, direct link to the throne of England. If and when she finds this out, she'll probably become a hero and be first in line to spit in Recluse's face at the next STF.

    My crab, Butch Maguirk, is happy busting stuff up. Arachnos made him better at doing it, so he'll probably just keep busting stuff up for them.
  8. I have a few toons that will do so, for totally opposite reasons:

    My main, Dharke Spear, was a bad guy in his backstory, but liked beating up other bad guys so much, he became a good guy. It fits his backstory to fall in with his old crowd and get sucked into the life again. He may actually go all the way red;

    His neices, Ms. Keyes and High Heeled Kicks, will fall from grace just enough to fight red-side, ostensibly to look for their uncle and bring him back into the fold.

    A cap.

    Getting around that with Market tricks is not a license to exceed the cap. If anything is done by the Devs that causes excess inf beyond to the cap to disappear, then, it's working as intended.

    When asked, the Devs have always said using the Markets to get passed the cap is not WAI.

    The Devs are being nice with all this warning so that people can get their affairs in order.
    The other thing that occurs to me is that this isn't an arbitrary cap, but a limit to what a LONGINT variable can hold. We'd have to shift to real numbers to get any higher, and that's just crazy talk. How do ya have 1/2 an inf?

    I wish all MMO's used this feature. It only takes a couple seconds more to login and it is so worth it. Would put a huge strain on the gold farmers as well.
    If all MMOs had this feature, RSA stock would shoot through the roof. There'd be a keyfob for every game, or at least every game manufacturer. Where'd I put the Halo fob... no, that's NCSoft... there's the Blizzard one... that's Dragon Age... god only knows how many Final Fantasy would need!

    Then there's the token infrastucture and authentication upgrades required on the back end. It's not the worst idea, but it would drive people away from trying the game out. How would trial account be handled? Would you get one in every box? Pay deposit until you decide to sub?
  13. Mission creators have found a way to limit the number of minions on a map and comply with the new restrictions for max XP gain...
  14. You're not *generating* any content. Those badges, purples, and salvage were generated by employees or contractors of either NCSoft or Cryptic. You performed activity to obtain access to them, but you didn't generate them. They aren't your original IP, and moreover, you probably didn't file a patent or copywrite for them (which would serve to protect the ownership you claim to have).

    You're also not purchasing a product, except the initial game client, so your Coke analogy isn't valid.

    You also agree to the EULA every time you log in. If you were really concerned with not giving away the rights you detailed above, you shouldn't play the game.

    But here's an idea: create a "clone" of your main and get him/her to 50. Bring *that* toon to Praetoria and keep access to what you've unlocked...

    Also pease let me know what the devs "intended" bases to be.

    Where do you hear,read,see the devs dont like hoarding? im not marketerring im storing my drops, saying im hoarding implies i should use the ww/bm and i do when i want and when i dont want to i store it for an alt

    i am unaware of exploits perhaps u can enlighten me as i would love to move a bill or 2 from tri to freedom

    i have never read the devs comment on bin usage please enlighten me

    i feel i am using mechanics EXACTLY as intended

    please read previous posts i dont feel cheated im just asking cause i want to know. That is all. nothing more. my original post is a question please tell me where i should post concerns with regard to GR.

    ty for reading this post
    Nothing in the game belongs to you. It's all the property of NCSoft. Thus, it's not "your" stuff to take with you.
  16. By this logic, the Nostromo N52 also violates the EULA. I've used the N52 and G15 off and on for years, specificalyl because I can map keys to where they're most useful for me. I doubt anyone in power is going to care that you've simplified your life with a little technology...

    Controllers -> Masterminds

    Those last two could arguably be sweapped since Doms and Controllers both mez. But I think Doms are more suited to a damage-dealing squishy toon than a team-supporting mez/buff toon. With their high base damage they're basically the Blasters of redside now. I totally play my Plant/Earth like a Blapper. And both Controllers and Masterminds are buff-oriented with pets.
    I would order it like this, simply because of the power selections available:

    Tankers -> Brutes
    Scrappers -> Stalkers
    Defenders -> Masterminds (buffs, debuffs, and heals)
    Blasters -> Corruptors (ranged attacks)
    Controllers -> Dominators (holds and secondary damage, non-controllable pets)

    But as always, YMMV...

    I'd love to see *all* the boosters combined for about $25, that might be worth it to me. Or have them all as a special convention-code prize...

    Villains have not all been arrested before going to the Rogue Isles. They can be if the player wants the backstory to run that way, but they don't have to have been nabbed, nor should they be forced to have it that way.
    True, very true. However, generally speaking, few people go to jail voluntarily, so by design, almost everyone in the Zig was forced to go that way. There's also the concept that until you've done time, you haven't really learned how to be a "bad guy". Until then, "criminals" who haven't done time are simply wanna-bes that aren't taken seriously.

    Which could explain why the "Destined One" term is given out like little league trophies: You're all Destined, because you're all special...

    Fixt that for ya. Just because it's good for the US doesn't mean it's good for every nation. In addition, the people have to want democracy. Just shifting the government to a democratic process does not a democracy make. That lesson is still being taught in Iraq, though no one was listening for a LONG time.

    And thus endeth my contribution to what may be perceived as political discussion...

    I wouldn't equate skipping the tutorial to mean that you didn't escape from The Zig. Besides, by going through the tutorial, you also get Rest and your second power when you arrive in Mercy...

    Granted, many of the "Destined Ones" are escaped convicts from a US prison, but not all of them.
    Actually, that is a good point. Every Destined One did escape from the Zig. They could claim to exercising an arrest warrant, except there's no extradition treaty in place to operate under.

    That's the new reason for street sweeping in Mercy, then: serving cease and desist warrants to LB vigilantes operating outside the law of the land.

    BUT if the other powersets don't root placate (and it's entirely possible they do - the old neurons ain't what they use to be) then all I can say is: buh? Is broadsword's placate that much different from the others (I have too many stalkers to start a broadsword) or is this a truncated list of changes and that's how placate will behave from now on across the board?

    Or, you know - do I have a mind like a steel sieve and that's how it's been all along?
    Isn't BS a new power set for stalkers? If so, it's a fairly recent change to have (or have not) noticed...
