Quote:I play my PB mostly in Nova form, and am enjoying the 9% damage buff. KG was used to replace a set of Positron Blasts, as IMO it provides on balance better set bonuses. YMMV.thanks but no thanks, 80/107hp extra?
wow really, the coolest ATO and it gives useless stats...the dmg/res might be nice
Not sure if I'll burn five catalysts to upgrade the KG IOs to their superior version. I only got one catalyst out of 24 Super Packs, and so far haven't received any drops on incarnate trials. Time will tell...
I have dwarf on my second build, but don't much use it. That build enjoys perma light form, and dwarf was used to mainly mule IO sets. But I can see your point, the dwarf buff does seem a bit wanting. -

Quote:The incarnate end-game trials are probably the most significant changes to the game since you left. CoX for years had held the philosophy that the journey was what mattered, and no end game content was ever developed. So, when they suddenly push out seven new trials for 50+ only characters, it's a pretty big deal, IMO.Well, I've been away from the game for almost a year. Anything game changing I should
know about? Besides free to play....
Check our Dread's links above. For a quick and dirty summary of the trials, refer http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Incarnate_Trials
And, of course, welcome back! -
Quote:Obligatory wiki link:so i understand what the squid/human proc does
but what does the proc do exactly for dwarf form?
anyone care to explain?

Quote:Hey Everyone,
I am coming back to CoX after a long hiatus, well before the game was ever free. I stopped playing right around the release of the Architect Issue.
What all has changed? I noticed like.. I have to purchase samurai armor? I had that already in a booster pack from before. My question is really, what all has changed? All my veteran statuses got reset as well - so I don't know what that's about either. I would say that I haven't been on in nearly 3-4 years, maybe 5.
What do I need to know now... I feel lost coming back.
Thanks,
Welcome back! -
I have a TW/EA scrapper to level 32. It's definitely end heavy -- I'm constantly combining inspirations into blues.
But I agree with a poster earlier who said the set is "WAI." Many sets don't fully mature until the late game. Other sets mature early. It's simply something one must take into account during character creation. Whenever I roll a new character, I always look at the Real Numbers information to determine how a set will perform in the game, whether it develops early, or later in the game.
I appreciate the OP's frustration, but I don't see this as being "broken" either. -
Quote:Congratulations!FYI good news for me is that I finally finished MoKeyes on my main badger just a few days ago!
Good luck to everyone still trying for it.
Green Stuff and the MoKeyes badges were easily the most gratifying badges to accomplish, from my experience. We had a team of regulars on Champion running Keyes every Sunday, 2 or 3 times each Sunday, for a period of 4 months, before finally nailing it.
I literally fist pumped the air when I saw the badge message appear in the chat window. -
Heh, nor did I. Just got lucky, I guess, getting things right the first try.

Quote:Your avoidance of Beam Rifle is well justified. IMO, it is an extremely underwhelming power set. I got my BR toon to 50, just out of pure stubbornness, but I'll never play her again. It felt like I was getting paroled once she dinged 50.I don't think I'm going to buy the Beam Riffle after my disappointment with Titan Weapons.
Sorry to hear you were disappointed in TW. I'm enjoying it so far, and only up to level 29 at the moment. -

Hit 1309 shortly after spring fling went live. Now awaiting I22.

It seems puzzling you're not getting badge progress for your kills. I think the simplest way to resolve things is to submit a support ticket. If you're VIP (which I think you are, since you're posting in this forum), simply use the /petition function in-game. If you're F2P or Premium, I don't believe you have access to in-game GM support, but I'm pretty sure you can use the web-based support system at https://support.cityofheroes.com/
(if I'm wrong, someone will be along shortly to correct me).
Good luck. -
Quote:Seems to me if an unlock is going to be sold, sell the whole she-bang. Not trying to be snooty, just strikes me as odd.Main reason: They were intentionally left out to maintain some exclusivity to the Imperious Task Force (ITF).
Players can normally obtain/unlock the Roman Costume pieces for free in-game, but this has to be done PER character by completing the ITF. The purchase of this bundle allows players to unlock many of the main costume pieces for all other characters on your account without having to do the Task Force. -
I believe the Admin channel cannot be filtered. Everbody gets it, every window gets it.

Quote:As already stated, most of the PvP badges are for non-PvP activities. Maybe start with some of those as "low hanging fruit."I've a question regarding the best manner of obtaining the PVP reputation badges. And I know just posting this I probably placed a huge target on my atomic back. But anyhoo:
1) Whats the best zone for a defender to pvp in?
2) Team or no team?
3) Is there ANY way (taking out turrets, participating in the melees in Siren's) other than direct confrontation with people who have mini-maxed their characters to death and can probably one shot me at their leisure?
Any advise is welcome. These are some of the last badges I need, and I have put them off because I hate the pvps.
For the rep badges, if you don't enjoy PvP, I would suggest getting together with a friend. That's how I got my PvP rep badges. A friend of mine and I would log through our various alts in an out of the way location in Warburg. We'd take turns killing each other. It was a grind, but was certainly much easier than doing it the legit way, given that this game (at least on my server) has a very small PvP community.
Good luck. -
Quote:Just curious, was there a reason this question was posted twice? So I've been away from CoH For a few weeks, since shortly before Xmas and it seems I've missed a lot since the team came back from holiday!
So SSA5 was pretty cool, Statesman died and that whole mission was just epic, I especially liked the rain and weather effects (HINT HINT devs...)
Anyway, anyone know if Statesman will be given a proper grave\memorial somewhere in the game where our heroes\villains can go to pay our respects\disrespects? -
Quote:I hadn't received my January points either, so I sent a /petition yesterday. They said that my billing date had been adjusted when I opted for the 12+2 sub option last month, and my new billing date was the 28th (changed from the 18th).To answer the OP, I am also missing my January stipend of 550 points. Support is looking into it.
I'm still not sure why changing sub options would alter the billing date (my sub is still set to expire on Aug. 18/2012). But, support was pretty quick in getting the answer back to me. Strange, though, I still got my monthly reward token on the 18th.
I get the impression the whole system in awarding the monthly VIP stipend might be slightly...unpredictable. -
Quote:Dude, that's downright creepy. Love it!
This reminds me of something almost entirely irrelevant...
When I used to live with my brother, and when the hour got way later than anticipated...
One of us would occasionally secretly sneak into the other's peripheral, wearing a strange outfit and pretending to be a little person (standing on knees with shoes sticking out as though your legs are that short, arms mostly inside your shirt/jacket... a bowler or top hat for effect, maybe a monocle or whatever props you can find quickly and that you think'll work well that night... sometimes peering over a newspaper) - usually while the other was brushing their teeth or sleepily walking through the hallway or something (I did this for a few of his late night bathroom trips too)...
And wait for that tired person to suddenly see you, unexpectedly, out of the corner of their eye...
And then the little person would say, in a very raspy voice, "It's 3 in the mornin'".
The reason I share this with you is...
Maybe you need a dwarf standing around your house to remind you not to post, because "It's three in the mornin'".

Don't like this change. It's not a huge deal to run the arc, but it was nice to be able to jump on the final mission to get the quick zone unlock.
They really ought to have changed the Lost Curing Wand recharge to something close to immediate. The current recharge is nonsensically long. Toss us a frickin' bone already.
I've suggested it elsewhere and will suggest it again. Similar to aura and cape unlocks, sell Cimerora access in the PM. Like capes and auras, the option remains to run the arc and get Cim access for free, on a per character basis. Or, pony up, say, 400 points for an account-wide unlock.
IMO. -

Quote:I tried to buy points through the store and it told me there was a limit but would not give how much and the time frame for when I can buy more points.
Necro posting is generally considered bad form. I was a little cheesed off to discover I was reading nearly three month old posts halfway through the thread. If you feel you have important information to update, best to start a new thread, linking back to the original. -
I nailed Dreamwalker a few days ago, so won't be needing to join this farm. But, best of luck to those who join -- for it is luck that matters. The RNG can be a cruel mistress.
