you shouldnt have lost anything if your playing on an old account, anything you have bought in the past from the old booster packs you should still have
the samurai armor was never part of the martial arts booster pack, it was originally a vet reward but its not earned by claiming a specific paragon reward (i forget the tier its on)
for reference on a majority on what you missed heres the wiki page for all the issues up till current, you came in just before AE so i14 and up would be new for you
Samurai Armor was a Veteran Reward and it is now a Paragon Reward. If you had it before, you will have it now. Nothing in Veteran Rewards was lost in the conversion.
If you had the Martial Arts booster pack, you don't have to re-buy it. It was all re-unlocked on your account automagically during the conversion.

I didn't see any mention of new IO's.
Will all my old purple sets still work as far as IO's are concerned? Or are there greater sets to be had now?
I have a fully purp'd SS/WP brute from back then - when 95mil Infamy was considered stupid rich.

LOL, I'm not sure, but I don't think 95 mill was ever considered stupid rich, and not around AE time when you left. Stupid rich is around 20 billion and up now, imo, and requires multiple toons to hold it all.

Was a typo - m was meant to be a b. And yeah, its spread over 8 toons or so, although 95 may be a bit exaggerated. Im guessin it's in the realm of 25-30ish, who knows though. Its been years.
So I can't use any of my IOs? What about if I am VIP?
If you're VIP then naturally all your IOs work. They haven't added any new IOs per se, but there are store bought "attuned" enhancements which are a bit different from the IO versions, and there are the new AT-specific ATO enhancements which come from the Super Packs but can be bought/sold/traded, so you'll see them on the market.
Assuming you're VIP, your heavily-purpled or IO'd character is almost certainly still well built. You'd want to head to Ouroboros and run through the arc that opens up your alpha incarnate slot, and then find out about other incarnate powers... that's where the real power expansion has been.
25-30 billion is enough money to still be very rich. ^_^

ATOs, like SBEs, are not IOs, however, being Attuned (they level with you), and possibly account bound. They also cannot be boosted.
Anyway - big thing - when you log in, your "email" window now has three parts -
Email - Self explanatory, and you can email things to your own @Global name now (if it's trade-able in the first place)
Account Items - All your old Veteran awards are here, among other things. Account items are ones that each character on the account gets a copy of.
Character Items - Items which only one character on the account gets. If you have multiples, they'll stack but then you can claim one at a time. 1-use store stuff shows up here.

Everybody has Stamina now... starting at level 2. And that means three more power picks, so burn a respec.
Also, when did 2nd build happen?

I think AE was well after the IO and Auction House additions, so I assumed he wasn't referring to like anything so early that 95 million would actually have been a lot. Well, he's clarified with ~20 billion, so I guess that rules out almost any pre-Auction House.

Good point, I didn't explain that well. Existing toons won't change, unless you didn't pick anything from the Fitness pool (in which case you just have the Fitness pool added to your build). If your character took any powers from the Fitness pool, there'll be no changes at all, and you'll have to use a respec to rebuild your character. When you do respec, you'll get the Fitness pool at level 2 automatically, and you should be prepared to pick new powers to replace those you chose in the Fitness pool, and possibly switch some slots around too.|

Doing a build with Mids first is an excellent idea so you don't waste a respec.
Ahh, interesting. Having stamina free must have changed the early level builds dramatically, making it a lot easier to level up a toon I assume. Yeah - I am going to have to get Mids and do up some builds.
I have a lot of characters to straighten out - I have IO's and salvage spread out everwhere. Found 5 LOTGs on 1 of my 50s, then realized I was trying to sell them before I left (From message history on these boards).

I am coming back to CoX after a long hiatus, well before the game was ever free. I stopped playing right around the release of the Architect Issue.
What all has changed? I noticed like.. I have to purchase samurai armor? I had that already in a booster pack from before. My question is really, what all has changed? All my veteran statuses got reset as well - so I don't know what that's about either. I would say that I haven't been on in nearly 3-4 years, maybe 5.
What do I need to know now... I feel lost coming back.
