I personally find the Teleport mechanic in Champions a very good interpretation of what the power should be like. Basically how it works in CO is that it puts the player in a phase shift mode where they interract on a different plane, and can move in any direction as if you had flight. The phase lasts for a duration normally before it has to be re-clicked. You could also simply exit the teleport at anytime before the duration is up.
However I can see this as an issue in PVP on COH. Balance would have to come from Suppression I suppose from being unable to attack for a brief moment perhaps? Or however phase shift would work?
Currently the only time I find myself using teleport is when I'm in a mission and feel like teleporting past enemies to complete faster. Otherwise it's not a very effective travel power. -
Arc Name: Brains over Brawn
Arc ID: 133458
Length: 5 Missions
Morality: Neutral
Enemy Groups: Malta, Council, Crey, Arachnos and Custom.
5 missions: Only one defeat all mission. Lots of allies in a few missions to help solo players. Story and clue focused. -
Server: Champion
Zone:
Character name: SovereignSavior
Time: Dec. 9 2008
Location:
Mission: A Hero's Hero Story arc
Mission Contact: Tina Mcintyre (Ouboros Flashback)
Bug Description:
I was completing a Story arc through the flashbacks option called "A Hero's Hero" with 2 other teammates. When the final mission completed, we each got 19 Merits rewarded. I decided to remain in the mission to clear out more mobs. At this time, we had not yet spoken to the contact and in the navigator it said "Mission Complete" with an exit button beside it. When each teammate logged off or left the team, I was awarded another 19 merits for each character. However the reward only took effect once for a player's first log out. I reported this and shortly afterwars the patch may have fixed that.

51 month reward is well worth it. I've been waiting so long for the devs to implement this to vets. However i find the54 month reward more of a cop-out. Considering if you picked nem staff or blackwand, your origin won't benefit getting the other, so you're usually left with the deicsion to either take the ghost axe of sands of mu based on what you previously took. Not as interesting as previous vet rewards.

I heart my new iMac and it runs with CoX way better than my PC.

Which arcs are best per level for # of arcs completed?

I don't see it. Could it be a browser thing? I'm running firefox on my imac. -
No! I missed out on being unable to view the comic from my comic and now that I check for it, it's no longer there!

Grats to the winners for their stylish modifications to the images that brought out the comics.

A Caliban can take out the Arch Mage of Agony. It takes forever (10 minutes?) but I have seen it. The Mage just can't hurt that dude.

THe mage probably isn't using it's Kin+close combat knife swipe it has that deals negative damage. If at a range it tends to use it's hold which does very insignificant damage, whereas if you override it to use the close combat attack it will kill the Caliban much faster. -
I'm not sure what time zone I'm specifically in, I just know I'm on the East Coast. For example, the time in which I'm posting this message is about 10:40 AM.

Especially help with the reviews for certain gladiators that you've missed

Excellent guide! If you'd like I can help you do some testing on the Test server sometime to add further to your comments!

My character Sovereign Savior (BS/Regen) is natural based on the fact that his original body was a typical human. It was the brain transplant thing that put him into another person's body that had powers to work with. So he combines both the new body's density manipulating capabilities given powers by this sword that is inseparable from the body...
The sword is a manifestation of Sov's passion to achieve his goal. His powers are a reflection of that in a sense...
Plus I chose Natural as a reflection of his orientation. -

LOL really sov?
[/ QUOTE ] Yes I do. but sov looks nothing like me XD.
I wouldn't make a very good hero. More like a sidekick... like cute little Robin. -
I can see original Satank's resemblance to you XD

Um.. I'm 21 turning 22 in June from Ontario, Canada. I'm also studying Psychology and Socilogy and I'm graduating next year as well. I grew up liking superheroes (not only because they were men in tights) and the X-men were my favorite group, so I know quite a lot about the X-men. I play CoH because of the community and other hobbies include Heroclix, drawing, playing more video games and all that. CoH is my first and probably only MMORPG because I'm a starving university student XD. I work at a bar and that's all I can think of. Oh! and I have a beautiful baby boy bunny. He's a Netherland dwarf bunny.
Pic of me and my dirty mind.

Statesman, before CoV came out, was more in line with a Tank Defense and Scrapper Damage. Today, with CoV out, he could be better classed as a Brute. Either way, he is tough and powerful. My daughter has had the pleasure of being on a team with him long ago. His powers exceed level 50. I understand that Jack is nice, knowledgeable, and very helpful on builds. She also told me they played on maps not released to us. If I tried to make one like him, it would be a SS/INV on the CoH or CoV side.
Captain America is more in line with a Martial Artist with a special ability to gain defense/attack from a shield. A pure Scrapper - with an epic set like power. Call him a level 50+ type right out of the box. If I made one like him it would be a CoH MA/INV or MA/SR or a CoV MA/SR.

I wish I got to play with Jack... so envious! -
Do the Fortunatas and Arachnos soldiers in the Pocket D mission count towards the badges on the heroes' side? I know I've fought a lot of Arachnos in Warburg's villian base and Fortunatas in the Siren's base, but I still don't have them. I was wondering if these would help me get them.

It's a big heavy sword. I think the 3 most highly damaging attacks should have a chance of toggle dropping because of it. Being thwacked around my a big chunk of metal makes just as much sense as people with energy melee knocking off toggles. Maybe not to the same effectiveness, but still think it should toggle drop.

I did a mission the other day in Bloody Bay that offered the Disruptor badge and gave me the Warden I needed. Perhaps the description itself is bugged? I know for sure I did not attain 400 rep points.
