mind/storm controller 0-50
sonic/dev blaster 32-50<--was my primary goal for the weekend
sonic/therm corruptor 28-50
fire/ea dominator 42-50
earth/emp controller 42-50
bot/ff mastermind 39-42ish
sd/ss tank 0-43ish
elec/wp stalker 0-21
none of which were on justice because its already full of all 50s.
big thanks to Ra, Mac, Con and everyone else who made it happen, these toons will keep me busy with pvp for a long while. -
my hope is that AE is churning out some characters created for pvp. hopefully if someone doesnt invest emotionally in a character they wont have a problem dieing alot to other players or getting frustrated that their powers arent well suited to pvping.
ive run(well, sat technically) 0-32 in 2 hours; run straight to sirens call slotted with 35 SOs; happily pvp'd until i got the 5 hour badge; leveled to 40 for recluse's victory in a 2nd AE session and plan to finish out my build sometime over the weekend or later if AE isnt doubled xp.
i used to spend this much time getting to 20 or 30 just to see if i liked a build, often ending in deletion. if new players get a chance to skip that step i cant see that as wrong. but then again, as a pvper, beating up pled noobs is entertaining. -

Well I'm not an Anti-Fitness guy. =/
It's just that I never really needed to take Stamina on my PvP Blasters. =X

leaping speed fitness and whatever complements your build otherwise is the general concensus.
what are you taking in place of fitness? leadership can be "simulated" with the right IOs, most things get hibernate nowadays so you dont always need phase.. is there some pool im forgetting? medicine? -
i would 5 slot flash freeze before i 5 slotted combat jumping, theres just better stuff you can get from sleep sets.
put your apoc set in a quicker recharging power.
switch what you have in hibernate for 2 efficacy and one of your sets of adjusted targetting for a set of gaussians to get you right up to the hp cap (1606).
also, with that much +recharge i just put an end reduction in boost range because it no longer stacks. -
i like the direction you took with the 2nd build, i made some tweaks though to add playability:
reduced some end costs on the heavy storm powers and squeezed some more hp, damage, kb protection, and recovery out.
also, took spirit shark jaws because it does heavy damage compared to the aoe school of sharks.
moved tactics to 30 in case you want to go to sirens call and see all the /dev blasters, also added a perception io to aim.
if you can manage some pvp IOs somehow, i'd switch out the titanium coating for 3 each on your resist powers for extra kb protection but you should be ok with this much for most pvp.

gl with the build, should be great for GR. -
[ QUOTE ]
hopefully you can get containment dmg on it
[/ QUOTE ]
impossible. it animates longer than you can hold someone for, you have to be on the ground for like an extra 2 seconds to cast it. i just slot it for knockback protection. -
positron's chance for energy and trap of the hunter chance for lethal.
-
[ QUOTE ]
Skill > Slotting
[/ QUOTE ]
this is kind of a broad statement to make. if you mean IO'd vs not IO'd i'll have to strongly disagree. any idiot can 3 shot someone who knows what theyre doing if they proc up the right build. dont get me wrong, skill still counts, but slotting can buy you alot of wins. -
[ QUOTE ]
Oh I see how it is. Just gonna leave the Sirens Call ghetto to police itself. Just like the man to leave us hangin cause we all to 'po to live in the fancy RV. A'ight, its all good. We just be bustin up the fiteklub our own selves. We dont need you.
[/ QUOTE ]
we should riot -
do you have a storm yet? i see those being really useful after GR(aka city of blasters).
mind/storm sonic/storm storm/psi and if you can stomach it some mastermind/storm. -
[ QUOTE ]
QR
Can you get a drop from a mastermind pet?
[/ QUOTE ]
nope, just like control AT pets. -
brutes build fury if you try to draw out a fight, its probably wiser to put them down quick. even if you cant, try to slow them from building it themselves between your spikes, web grenade and run around until build up is recharged for example.
-
this is what i use currently. it was really cheap to build way back in i12 and i havent added more than maybe 5 or 6 pieces via freespecs since then. in fact, i should probably replace those hold procs in my devastation sets but ...meh.
tldr features:
capped HP all the time
about as much +damage as a red insp all the time
about 40% +rech so it shouldnt get DR'd too much
27 mag passive -kb protection
cheap

Wtf did i miss, usually ppl are just argueing with terps and his lack of logic?
[/ QUOTE ]lol he finds the need to follow me around like a lap dog to no matter what thread i enter and attempt to find some reason i'm wrong about what ever it is the thread is about. I could say alot of ppl dislike the new pvp and he'll try and find a way i'm wrong lol. So at first i didn't notice it, but once i caught on, i just ignored him, and let him know he was ignored and to this day he still finds the need to quote me lol.
Also i ignored him for the reasons you just stated as well, sorta like the cherry on top, made it easy. And the bad part is i have a really thick skin, but i guess some worms can even get under my layers lol. Don't worry he'll have something to say i'm sure.
[/ QUOTE ]
you ignore someone for liking the same things as you and respecting you enough to argue a point with you? let me guess, youre single irl? -
[ QUOTE ]
also since the bye rule my team needs to fight Team 9 for last weeks match. We can do this anytime Killer Wail. Please let me know if i made mistake, its late.
[/ QUOTE ]
we have to find team 9 for our match this week too, maybe we could coordinate and get them done back to back the same day? i have only been able to talk to moonfuzzy and that was sunday. -
if we could just agree that grav sucks noone would be fighting here at all
-
fire/ta will be nice, im trying to think of some nice ppp combo that would make it sweeter.
to the OP: fire/dark is another safer high dmg corr. -
i wonder what the quick tier 1 attack could end up being? im envisioning a cross between thorny darts and the snowball temp power from the winter events.
the other 8 will likely have hurl boulder a hammer attack and hopefully seismic smash. maybe fissure from the controller epics too. -
[ QUOTE ]
Yeah, because taunt has such a huge impact now...
The counter tactic remains the same. Jump around the corner and wait for it to wear off, then come back in blazing and get off two or three shots before they taunt again.
Rinse and repeat until taunt bot is dead.
[/ QUOTE ]
but would you rather have a squishier debuffer or a big ol' bag-o-hp debuffer? -
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
I suspect one of the things that will come out with Going Rogue, that blasters will become the primary ranged types seen on both sides.
[/ QUOTE ]
After GR, I just don't see a reason to play anything other than a Blaster except for flavor.
[/ QUOTE ]
when everyone becomes a (well IOed)blaster the only debuff that matters is -range. -
[ QUOTE ]
a perfectly fine set
[/ QUOTE ]
highly debatable -
grav would probably have to rely on wormhole to pull off what you are thinking of. just slot lift for damage and consider the kb as extra that makes killing the unIOed easier.
also, if you havent yet, go roll a psi/ or sonic/ blaster and just play it redside when GR comes out.
