Quote:Yea, sadly this is true. They would rather invest money on a known property that's recognizable and will make money (how much is always unknown) rather than investing in an unknown project.Hollywood's never been out of more ideas now than they have in the past. Remakes have always happened. They play it safe before dedicating millions of dollars and a year or two of time into a project.
And I think this'll be awesome. It's called Robocop. If there's a super robot police officer dealing justice and on liners then I'm good. -
Quote:But... we wouldn't like them when they're angry. It should also thematically buff all enemies within range to the resistance cap, the damage cap, and the health cap, and make them very, very angry.

- Meltdown — Self, +Res(All), +Recovery, +Dmg, Foe –To Hit
Thoughts?
Add a self destruction crash to Meltdown. Thematically, it makes sense.
When a meltdown happens, things go boom.
Or, as an option, when you activate Meltdown, you get a special "temporary power" in the new temp power tray, that's a Self Destruction power. Personally, i would prefer is the Destruction did not root you when using and would accept less damage than the actual Self Destruction power as a compromise.
I would play this set to death if we got a t9 that let's us go boom. @_@ -
Quote:I would hope it's not level locked. If I use the recipe to craft Excalibur on a character that's not 50 yet, will he be able to use the sword right away, or would I have to get him to 50, first?
Being that the recipe can be traded and sold via the AH one would assume that you could use it at any level. Generally anything's the level locked is stated on the recipes' descriptions.
I'm not home to check this, but if you go into the Auction House and look at the Costume Recipes on the list on the left, change the "level range" to 1 - 1.
The regular costume recipes are technically level 1 recipes. If Excalibur shows up on that list with the level 1 limitation, I'd say it's a safe bet.
tl;dr I'm not 100% sure, but if it follows normal costume recipe rules, then it should be accessible at any level. -
Quote:I agree with this 10x fold. Unless the league leader is asking for help or suggestions, please keep the chatter and suggestions to a minimum while they're giving the instructions. After they've said their peace (or is it piece?) then offer tips and suggestions. It becomes way too confusing when you have 5 or 6 people who think they know the best way to handle things. I'm sure the intentions are well enough, but as they say, too many chefs spoil the soup. The last point I couldn't agree more, especially the listening part. The important thing is that no two league leaders will run it the same and even though you might be on your 10th run, pay attention to directions even if you disagree. The league leader may have a trick or two up their sleeve that you aren't aware of and if you operate outside of the instruction, you may be doing more harm than good. I've run several tries and have a way that I like to do it. However, when I'm on someone else's run, I try to be quiet and read closely so that I can give that league leader the best chance of their plan being successful, regardless of what I think. It is no small task to get 24 people together and work as a group and each league leader deserves your attention if you are truly interested in getting the badge. If you don't like the way it is being run, learn from it, offer opinions after the fact and/or run your own. There is not a right way to run this thing.
Also, I think the importance of the Ultimate inspirations are understated. I may start suggesting to people that they should bring at least 8 (You can always re-sell the ones you don't use or save them for another run). Deaths can randomly and accidentally happen and not having enough Ultimates to finish the battle is an issue. We've gotten so close on recent runs and I think, in part, why we haven't been able to get those last few HP of his down is that people have run out of Ultimates, or are not realizing it's time to refresh.
As we get more Incarnate slots unlocked, I'm sure this part of the trial will get easier, but in the interim, for the runs to succeed, folks need to bring their A game.
On a side note, it would be interesting to see how a league of 24 Corruptors would do for this badge. -
I wouldn't have a problem with an Ouroboros arc that generated 3 or 5 random paper missions at the given level and then the final mission of the "arc" being the safeguard or mayhem mission.
And if it can't be random, just pick 3 or 5 paper missions, hard code them into the arc and have the mayhem/safeguard at the end.
The Night Ward arcs were just recently added into Ouroboros so it shouldn't be too difficult to throw a string of 3/5 missions and the mayhem/safeguard (Standard code rant withstanding). -
Who would've thought that Portal Corp found the Indiana Jones dimension?

Quote:Heh... whoops? >_>Team inspirations are an excellent point though I would not encourage anyone to spend real money to get the badge. My understanding is that these are only available through super packs, please correct me here if I'm incorrect. I was not paying attention to team inspirations so I cannot speak to how much they helped. This is definitely something to consider.
*looks at point balance... 20 points...*
Yea, between all the runs I did that week I must've spend at least 600PP on Team Insp, if not more.
Ah well... -
Quote:I'm a tad late on the response here, sorry!is there someplace online to watch these? with subtitles naturally....
There may be some episodes on YouTube.
I have yet to find a complete torrent of the subtitled episodes. Back in the day, I actually bought these on VHS from a subber called Ctenosaur. I don't think he does anime anymore, just live action stuff.
As far as I know, there were never DVDs (or BluRay) released for either season, so if you do find subs, they will be cruddy TV rips. Watchable, but cruddy -
Welcome to Virtue
While I don't have any super group suggestions, I would recommend joining the channel VirtueUnited
It's Virtue's all purpose teaming channel and there's usually folks playing all hours of the days.
I hope that helps you out! -
AH-HA!! I now know your secret identity good sir. After months of wondering... the truth comes forward!
-
*High-Hoof!* /")
I know someone who has a fairly new MLP Supergroup but I haven't moved any characters in there.
(If I remember >_>) I'll direct them to this post -
Go Virtue
Thank you to all who made this possible -
Oh man... Hami or MoMag... @.@
I'll try to be there... @.@ -
Quote:Yea... I just got bit by this. The listing says 0PP, cart said 80PP and I didn't realize until I bought it... sent a petition. Ugh.Is there some sort of delay after the Freebie goes up before the market realizes it is free?
I added this week's freebie to my cart and it's showing up as 80pts and not free.
//edit
In-game GM responded saying it would be escalated to the senior support team. Joy. -
Quote:Yea... so apparently you can tint the Water Blast powers yellow... just sayin...Lets look at the facts
1) Penelope Yin is making Anatomically Correct Clockwork
2) Everyone who makes robots and cyborgs puts their name on them
3) In literature a common plot is artificial life forms going beserk and attacking
4) People on Beta have found art to indicate Water Blaster ranged attacks
If you put all these together it suggest the next zone event would be Beserk Anatomically Correct Clockwork Bosses labelled "P Yin" spawning and spraying down players with their ranged water attacks. -
Quote:Oh boy, as do I....i remember the days when i had to hover across the hollows to get to frostfire...
XD it felt appropriate to whip that old blurb out again
I remember crying (Okay, not really crying, but still) when there wasn't a Taxibot on duty in the Hollows.
Oh how we have gotten spoiled!
At first I was like *facepalm* at the TUNNEL System because it's already stupidly easy to get around. But after using it for a bit I'm all like *DROOOOOOOL* -
Badge credit is awarded based on the percentage of damage dealt to the target that's awarding the badge.
If Jack and Eo were fighting for an hour, going back and forth, they would each have dealt a tremendous amount of damage to each other. Because of GM regen, you wouldn't notice it.
Congrats on the solo kill thoughIt feels mighty good to take down a giant monster by yourself!

Quote:Unfortunately changing animations doesn't mean the cast times will be changed. If you look at any set that has alternate animations the cast time is the same. Take Knock Out Blow from Super Strength. The "Popeye" style wind up and the double handed alternate take the same time to animate.I want this too...especially for Energy Melee, due to animation issues...
*click Total Focus*
*make dinner*
*click Energy Transfer*
*eat dinner*
For what it's worth, my first 50 tank was a Invul/NRG and oh how I miss the days of the 1sec Energy Transfer. Build Up -> ET -> Total Focus -> ET... *droooool* -
Quote:Thanks for the runsThanks to everyone who came to the attempt. We earned that Ready to Rumble badge, and the others will be ours soon enough. I'd give it another 2 runs tops before we have Triple Threat.
I have a feeling we could pull off the Hard Way with a little more practice - a few less KOs, a few more inspirations and Tyrant would be taken care of. Maybe stick to taking down 3 Lights at a time, coupled with one Ultimate inspiration to bring us that much closer. Even before the patch fixes the Lights.
The Really Hard Way looks to require stacking buffs and debuffs, which isn't very surprising but a tad disappointing. I'd hoped that with Incarnates we'd gone past the need to require specific archetypes as long as the characters were played well.
See you guys on Thursday for another series of attempts.Looking forward to the next attempt!

Quote:I just had a funny mental image of the 3 of them gaining Incarnate Abilities and Penny and Jim using theirs to save Fussionette from going out of control.(I now actually wanna see Penny, Faultline, and Fusionette all work together on something.)
I mean, she's crazy enough in a normal setting. Give her Pyronic Judgement? And Lore pets? Oh. My. Pancakes.
And of course there would be a Masters badge for keeping her either a) Alive for the whole trial or B) Not letting her aggro x amount of mobs. -
Quote:2 points for Ghostbusters reference! Can't we just bulldoze Skyway? The way it's laid out makes me think that Ivo Shandor had a relative who got a job with the Paragon Department of Transportation.
Even though Skyway is a bit... uh... cluttered? The merging of the transit system makes getting around quite a bit easier.
I woudn't mind seeing an update, but for me, it's not a priority. Unless they added a story element to the revamp, I don't see it as necessary.
