    So instead of the Proc in HT, do you think I should strip it down to just 2 recharges and put the extra slot onto hasten? I also may keep the proc on Empty Clips as it seems to hit often and I dig the gun having the KD vibe

  3. Below is my build as it stands. I have everything listed and really enjoy the character, with a few minor caveats:

    - When last he was built, Fitness wasn't inherent. I'm glad it is now, but not sure how to take advantage of it without having throwaway powers.
    - He hasn't played the Incarnate game much at all, but I'd like him to. His slot is unlocked, that's about it.
    - I'd *really* like to get back to having Soul Tentacles, and possibly Soul Storm.

    So, I welcome any advice, tips, comments, etc. Thanks again for your time!

    I don't see the extra slot but made the changes you'd mentioned minus CC with the damage proc. If I can only have the proc on one, do you consider CC or 'trops to be the better spot?

    Something I've been pondering as well is removing a most of the 6th slots on 6-slotted powers that give bonuses for defense and freeing up some slots. If I do this, it looks like I could have 4 slots to still play with, for Spore Burst, Fling/Creepers (only 5-slotted now), etc. Thoughts on this would be welcome as well:

  7. Went to the drawing board a bit and dropped Hibernate from my post immediately above, as well as dropped Tactics and Veng (using GI as a mule), pulled a slot from Stamina (dropping my Recovery from 186 to 176, and with Perma I think that's fine), and a Proc from Fling Thorns, added Thorntrops with 2 Procs (-Recharge, Chance for Energy), and added a damage to Spout. Burst is interchangeable with Roots for me, but historically (pre-Dom changes) when I had it I didn't use it that often.

    I usually only drop Spout during boss-style battles as a distraction and annoyance to the boss, or during those "Oh Crap" moments where I might have popped Hibernate, so adding some damage to it should be fun.

  8. Great feedback and I do appreciate it. I ended up with one more tweak where I dropped SS and actually picked up Hibernate instead, for the "Oh Crap" moments. Personally, I'm leery against not having some sort of "true" travel power. Ninja Run is great for early on, but the time for moving cross zone in the endgame seems difficult to me on the characters I've tried using NR only on. But I agree, SS is gone for sure.

    That being said, I definitely need to ponder your ponderings. Some good stuff there that I may use to tweak the build a bit. I'm still short a few of the LOTG recharges, so he's a work in progress for sure.

    So instead on health I was considering going:
    • two Numinas (Heal and +Regen/Recovery) for the bonus
    • one Miracle (+Recovery)
    • one Tissue (+Regen)
    • and one Regular Health IO
    If I read the numbers correctly from the Mid's Build I've posted here (my last post) (and I may misunderstand Mid's here), I'm seeing 260% Regen. And, since I'm a Dom, not nearly as worried about Recovery, although that is listed as 184% as well.

    Getting hit sucks but is reality. Not having a self-heal still makes me nervous, though. So... how much is too much here?

  13. During my i19 build revamp ( discussed here and looking for feedback ), I was pondering putting in the Regenerative Tissue: +Regeneration proc in there.

    Does anyone know how this would work? Would it only fire when out? Only when out and I'm in the AoE?

    As I mention in the discussion linked above, I'm short on slots and not sure what else to throw there so any suggestions would be great, here or there.

  15. After trading some emails with a trusted advisor, here's what I've come up with thus far, as well as some thoughts on the changes. I have 1 free slot left, not sure where to put it as I see a few options.

    Changes made:
    - Put in Maneuvers, Tactics, and Veng (2 slots, 1 slot, 1 slot)
    - Added a slot to CJ for a 2nd LotG for regen bonus
    - Put in Thorntrops as a "why not, I have no slots?" power. Considered the -recharge proc in there. Considered adding a recharge with my free slot.
    - Added Super Speed and put a clarity +stealth, because I already have it. Disposable power and easily replaced if there's another suggestion.
    - Added spirit tree and threw a Regenerative Tissue +Regen in there.
    - Considered stealing a slot from Darts if I have a power that could benefit from 2 slots (trops or tree for example).
    - Trops/tree are interchangeable to me.

  16. Here's my current Plant/Thorn Build pre-i19. With 3 more powers and an Alpha slot to introduce, I'd love feedback on what to improve. I'm not a great number cruncher, nor do I claim to be.

    Here are my general thoughts:
    - I've always felt the build a bit damage-light, so considering Musculature for my Alpha path.
    - His Dom isn't perma, nor has that been a goal, but I'd like to reduce his "downtime". That may change the Alpha slot
    - Super Speed will be replaced with Super Jump
    - Not opposed to introducing in Spirit Tree or Thorntrops or the Fighting pool

  17. Since we're in i19 with Inherent Fitness and Incarnate abilities, I wanted to brush off The Hood. As I'd mentioned above, I really want to get my Immob back.

    However, I'm running out of slots just moving stuff around, and I've got powers that are optional-but-underslotted (Tough/Weave). I'd like to get some slots on the immob, and I'm pretty much sold on the Musculature tree for Alpha. All IO's listed are currently slotted so I'm not out any cash currently.

    - I liked the old build (and the IO's are already owned), so I tried to work in powers that required minimal slots
    - New powers acquired are Tactics, Vengeance, and Soul Transfer
    - Not sure of the enhancements on these new powers
    - Ignore enhancement placement order, was trying to minimize hassle when going from old to new. Power selection order is what I'm planning.

Currently I'm running into a bit of an endurance issue for extended rapid-pace fights (like a large group ToT that doens't rest), but that's because I haven't slotted the two performance shifters because I'm not at the right level yet. I'd expect it to be corrected once that is addressed, though. I just toggle-juggle a bit with Tough/Weave as needed if I'm burning too much, or slow down a tad.

    With the build above, even without the LotG's right now, there's plenty going on to where I haven't missed hasten. Once they LotG's are slotted, I think he'll be even nastier. But, keep in mind I went hover/fly for concept, not sets.

    My goals have been to kick some booty and keep the team safe at the same time, running more as an offending controller than a passive defender. As you (probably) know, once you have Fluffy the game changes immensely. Still, I'm never going to be the primary damage dealer.

    When i19 hits and Fitness becomes inherent, I'm not sure what changes I'll make to the build. Slotting will likely be similar, so anything I add will likely be more utility-based or novelty.

    Last but not least, any more I'm a pretty casual player, but I've been able to make some decent Inf with minimal work. Take a look at the market threads to see how people can generate some serious $ in a matter of days.

    Playstyle question for you: How do you typically use Oppressive Gloom? As a "Crap I'm surrounded?" or as a toggle you always keep running. It isn't a power I've played with before.
  24. Good points. I was more focused on trying to replicate the replaced sets. Back to the drawing board, and I appreciate you working with me! I've made the changes, removing the two procs and filling out the set. If I don't need the full sets on Fluffy and Fearsome, I could move those slots to Night Fall and get a 6 slotted Nightfall as well.
